"Nice enough hotel. AC rooms which is a blessing when you're returning from the Amazon, a nice restaurant, excellent breakfast, and extremely friendly staff. The hotel itself is pretty basic so don't expect frills of any sort. The wifi is terrible, you have to move around in the lounge area (no AC, happy mozzies!) to find the best signal. I would give it 3 stars but the staff is so friendly and helpful (a special shout out to the restaurant manager at breakfast) and the fact that there is WiFi at all ups this to a more deserving 4 stars! Will definitely stay here if I'm ever in Leticia again."

"The place is lovely and clearly well cared for. Everything was clean, comfortable, and matched our expectations for the price. The pool was in great condition and nicely located close to the cabins. We had a great stay overall. The breakfast was varied, and each day they made an effort to introduce us to a new tropical fruit or local dish, which was a really nice touch. We also appreciated the freedom to arrange our own excursions, and it was easy and inexpensive to get to the city by tuk-tuk. The staff were always incredibly helpful and attentive, doing everything they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible."

"Leticia is a great place to stay to explore the Amazon area. Its easy to get to from Bogota and there are some good restaurants. We did one of the standard tours and one day exploring deeper into the jungle on our own, arranged with a captain we new through the hotel. The hotel was very good overall. Its in a good location in Leticia, with easy access to the airport and restaurants. The breakfasts were good and the room was comfortable. We didnt have time to use the pool but we saw others using it and it looked good. The only problem we had was with an aggressive tour guide who would hang out at the hotel try to find tourists to reserve his tours. We saw him being very rude to one of the hotel staff and we decided to make a compliant becuase of what we witnessed"

"If you're visiting Leticia, I highly recommend this hotel. It's quite good for the area in terms of hygiene and facilities. The staff are friendly and patient in answering your questions. The tours we booked at the hotel were also available by credit card, and the prices were the same as the online bookings, even better. The owner even took us to the meeting point. Also, let me tell you about the white Labrador. He followed us whenever we left the hotel at night, barking at people dressed in rags and even helping to keep other dogs away. He would also wait quietly while we bought things. We ate two dinners at the hotel; the prices were similar to eating out, but the food was excellent."

"I was very disappointed with the hotel service. We were in the town and looked for a hotel that we could enjoy after being on our jungle tour. We were shown a spacious room with a king sized bed and lots of space it was perfect. When we returned to the hotel we were given a terrible room on the third door curtain rod fell off when we tried to close the blinds, wifi connection did was poor, very limited space and open window with a bug flying in it. It was nothing like the original room we were shown. I would rate that room 1 out of 5. We asked to be moved one group was allowed to but my husband and I were told there were no other rooms. There was one person who spoke English but he wouldn’t help. I was very dissatisfied with the service. I decided to check online and various rooms were still available. I went back to the front desk and was ignored. Really disrespectful and poor service. We eventually got a room on the first floor. The pool was nice and so was the room. Everyone in are party was tired and just wanted to rest. I would not recommend this hotel the stress and the lack of service was not worth are time. This incident caused our group stress and wasted over an hour of our time. I did not like being lied to there was plenty of rooms available we were only staying one night. Unfortunately I do not have a picture of the 3rd floor room. It was less than 1/2 the size of the 1st floor room and the king size bed barely fit the room."

"Wonderful apartments with all amenities, wonderful owners and staff! The rooms have absolutely everything you need. Comfortable bathroom, bed, sofas, armchairs, quiet air conditioning, kitchen, stove, refrigerator with water, set of dishes, excellent Wi-Fi, TV. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The booking includes a free transfer from the airport to the hotel and back. The hosts helped with organizing the holiday and found a good guide. "The Colombian Amazon is a fascinating destination, full of natural and cultural richness. I completely recommend visiting it; however, my experience at the Amazon On Vacation hotel was very negative, and I believe it is important to warn future travelers. Infrastructure and maintenance: The hotel is in very poor condition. The facilities are deteriorated, with air conditioners that do not work in several rooms (including ours), lack of basic furniture—not even a chair—and serious hygiene problems. This is not just a matter of being in the jungle: there are cockroaches, mice, and other insects inside the rooms. In our case, mice tore open garbage bags; other guests reported rats in the beds and damaged luggage. In addition, garbage accumulates under the buildings, causing bad odors. Wi-Fi and connectivity: In a hotel with hundreds of guests, they only offer 30 connection codes in 6-hour shifts. Even with access, the signal barely allows sending text messages. In practice, it is better to assume that there is no internet. Food: The food is very poor in quality, repetitive, and tasteless. Hard rice, dry meats, and practically the same menu every day. It is not valid to use the jungle conditions as an excuse: in other places in the region, even more remote, we tried fresh, varied, and excellent quality dishes. Here the lack of care from management is evident. Logistics and safety (SelvaTours): The hotel works with SelvaTours, whose handling is poor and unsafe. On one excursion, we were forced to cross a wooden plank 5 meters high without any safety measures, even though the group included elderly people and a young man with a disability. Only thanks to the intervention of the Tourism Police was an accident avoided. Furthermore, on the return to the airport, poor planning caused delays when transporting more than 150 people in a boat and then transferring them to a 24-passenger speedboat. No one took responsibility or apologized, and if it had not been for the flight’s delay, several tourists would have been stranded in Leticia. Conclusion: The Colombian Amazon is wonderful and worth visiting, but I definitely do not recommend staying at the Amazon On Vacation hotel. The infrastructure is deplorable, the food is inadequate, the logistics are dangerous, and the management is indifferent. There are better options in the region to enjoy this destination without going through such inconveniences and risks."
