"Facilities in the room were basic but clean. There was a balcony overlooking a small lake which was really lovely with geese and ducks around. The area was well kept with picnic tables and there were lots of dog walkers. Breakfast was available at the services next door but we did not use them. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful."

"Honest hotel. Warm welcome, free upgrade as they were quiet. Good room, comfy bed. Huge bathroom with Roll Top Bath and sep Shower. Could do with some hooks for towels but hey for 1 night it's fine. Bar area very welcoming with log fire lit, dinner just as good as we remembered and breakfast again cooked to order. Pots of coffee not someone wandering around with a jug and fresh water as part of the juice line up. We find all the staff including Glen the owner very personable. It's location works for us."
