"I stayed at this hostel because it was the cheapest I could find in Uruguay. They charged me twice even though I'd already paid for the check-in, but I was able to convince them by showing them the Trip.com payment page. Around 8pm, the shared kitchen was full of people, so I went to the terrace. I made friends with a group of Brazilians there and enjoyed drinking wine and listening to live music. The room had triple bunk beds, and the ladder was thin and unstable, so I was afraid to climb to the top bunk."

"Run down hotel. Location is not very safe. We arrived by car and there was no one outside to greet us and tell us where to park to do our check in. There was a. Security person who showed up later but he was talking with someone else. Meanwhile some unsolicited characters showed up. The concierge was on his break. After I asked the people parked on the reserved space to please move, I was able to check in. This must have been a nice hotel but if feels old and stale. The towels in our room where very used and thin. The bathroom downstairs is old and unkept. Not worth staying"

I didn’t mind as the room was spacious and beach view was nice but I think it was a bit impolite to change my room without even asking me/ offering an explanation. I would have also expected for a 5 star Hyatt hotel to have a bathtub and robes/slippers. However as the price was much lower than what this brand would usually be I think it is still very good value for money."

"Very dirty hotel, the photos do not reflect the reality of the hotel, the rooms lack maintenance with dirty and moldy sheets. Breakfast was another disappointment, with only a few options and no fruit. When we arrived we thought about looking for another hotel, but losing $660 for 3 nights is not easy. It has enormous potential, but it needs to be managed by professionals or acquired by a network. Don't waste your money on this hotel, there are other much better options in Montevideo for the same price (Sofitel, Montevideo...)."
