"The hotel is conveniently located near Karasuma and Shijo subway stations. From Exit 6 of the Shijo subway station, walk through the alley next to the Courtyard by Marriott for about two blocks; it's about a 7-8 minute walk to the hotel. Other attractions, such as Nishiki Market, are within walking distance. The hotel is clean, tidy, and relatively new. The rooms are spacious. There are Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk, making communication easy. The photos shown are accurate; what you see is what you get. The hotel was very helpful when I encountered problems. I especially want to thank Xiao Hu at the front desk, who helped me find my phone after I lost it at the subway station. He suggested I go to the nearby police station, where I found it, and even helped arrange for it to be returned to China. Breakfast is free and simple. There is a washing machine and dryer. The bathroom in the room has a separate shower and toilet, which is nice. The internet speed is fast, and water is free."

"The hotel itself is brand new and in super good condition. Roomy bathroom and everything is excellent. But the location is a bit off, need to walk for 10 minutes to any metro/ railway station and central location but not a big deal to us. Minor suggestion: if the angle of the small make up mirror could be adjusted"

"This is a new and clean hotel. The rooms are more spacious than typical Japanese hotels. The staff are lovely and friendly, providing excellent service. It's about 500-600 meters from Gojo Station, but it's a pleasant and quick walk. Alternatively, you can take a bus from Kyoto Station. I will definitely stay here again next time."

This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. Our guests consider this hotel to have excellent service.
"Fantastic hotel. Great location, super helpful employees (who called a bike rental place for us), and good lobby with tea and coffee. There is no breakfast available, but we ususally got breakfast at a convenience store and ate it in the lobby. I would book here again."

"This is a brand-new hotel that just opened, so everything is very fresh. The overall color scheme is very comfortable, and the room is large enough to fit a 32-inch suitcase, which is considered a decent size for Kyoto. The front desk staff speak fluent English and are professional and courteous with greetings upon entry and exit. The lobby has a self-service coffee machine and a smoking room. However, the waiting area only has two single sofas, so if there are many people, there might not be enough seating. A bit confusingly, none of the king-size rooms have a sofa or even a single chair, which isn't very user-friendly. You have to sit on the bed to do your makeup or drink water. I'd suggest adding chairs. Other than that, everything is great. The area is very quiet, and the famous Takagi Coffee, where you can have breakfast, is right across from the hotel."

"Location of the hotel is pretty convenient, with a 7/11 just right downstairs. It’s in a quiet neighbourhood but still walkable to Nishiki market with all the shopping street and to the nearest bus stop to travel out. Front office staff is friendly and helpful! We had a minor issue with cleanliness of the room, particularly the bed. As it was late at night, housekeeping wasn’t available so FO assisted to change the sheets for us. If you wish to have daily room makeover service, you’ll have to put the card on your room door. Housekeeping was a little disappointing as the room wasn’t made over properly. However, for the price and location, i think it’s value for money. Room size wise is decent and having separate shower cubicle and toilet is convenient."

"Everything was perfect, the staff's service was impeccable. A very clean hotel and everything is well-maintained. The location is good, Kyoto Tower is a 5-minute walk away. There are many restaurants in the area. Very close to the hotel, there's a place to eat ramen that is one of the best (Tantanmen Ebisu). 100% recommend this hotel."

"The location is great, very close to Shijo Station, making it easy to get to attractions like Arashiyama. There are also many newly opened hair salons and several convenience stores nearby. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied! A special shout-out to the young lady who spoke Chinese; she was very smooth in explaining the room and the check-out process, and proactively refilled the coffee machine's beans and water. It was truly a stroke of luck for us, not knowing Japanese, to meet her! The hotel is new and very clean, and the hand soap is particularly good! Highly recommended~"

"We had a pleasant stay at Kyoto Monday Apart Gojo. It’s a great option for families, with clean and comfortable rooms and helpful, friendly staff.
