Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa ★★★★

📍 North, Oakham

"The hotel was clean and the room was excellent. However, the hotel posits itself as a spa hotel and the spa was the worst one i have ever been to. The changing rooms were very basic, there was no hot tub and it had a very budget feel about it. Which given the price of the room you would expect so much more. The restaurant was very nice and the service there was excellent. I wouldn't stay here again only because of the spa and cost of the hotel."

Finch's Arms

"We stayed here for two nights. Pluses are: beautiful location, atmospheric building, friendly and helpful staff, great food. Minuses are: seemingly no sound insulation at all (from our room we could hear everything from the dining room, everything from the corridor, and a lot from the neighbouring rooms), damp (clean) towels, a heated towel rail which never seemed to be on. Whether it’s value for money is debatable but it has a lot to offer and enjoy."

Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa ★★★★
"Room was not clean. There were cobwebs everywhere, black mould by the windows and curtains as well as in the bathroom, there was thick dust on the walls, the bathtub drain was clogged and the towels provided had stains. I didn't like the fragrance of the hand and body wash provided. Breakfast was very good. The blossom restaurant is spacious with friendly staff. Overall the hotel was is in a good location and has lovely views, however for the price the room was very basic."

The cheese selection was great and the wine to go with the cheese also brilliant. Not cheap, but great for a special occasion."

"The kitchen appears to be incapable of providing the menu as requested from the "Stay and Play" list. It isn't difficult, if you cannot do what you offer, either say so or, change the menu."
