"Aveda is well maintained and is within walking distance to the town centre. The room was clean and quiet. One thing we noticed was the bed mattress and pillow are very soft. The team was pleasant to interact with, proactively contacting us to let us know their holiday hours and how to self check in. Don’t forget to bring a toothbrush as New Zealand generally will not provide this."

"Just spent a great night at this well sited motel. Our recently refurbished room was perfect and everything was not a problem. The location was superb for the township with a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive to the centre - it was handy having a New World supermarket across the busy road and a dairy and bakery very close by. Our hosts were professional and friendly. Definitely recommend staying here again."

"Just a one night stay. Room was well appointed and modern. Cleaner knocked on the door at 9am an hour before we checked out. A bit surprised and a little annoying. Had to keep drapes closed for privacy during the day which made the room very dark. Lighter curtains would help."

"We stayed at the Motor Lodge during the Karaka Yearling sales (20 min drive from the Lodge). Very quiet and clean. We didn't use the pool but looked tidy as well. No AC/Heat pump but fan with different settings. Little kitchenette with fridge, kettle, diverse teas and coffees and a microwave. Safe available as well. Limited parking. The owner and staff was always friendly and helpful. We use the laundry service, either took one day or once we got it back the same day. Would stay there again. "
