Hotel Romantik di Beijing

We were absolutely delighted with our stay at this hotel. The entire environment is beautiful, calm, and exceptionally well maintained. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable — everything felt fresh and perfectly prepared. The staff truly exceeded our expectations. They were incredibly polite, caring, and attentive to every detail. Their warm attitude and impeccable professionalism made us feel welcomed and valued throughout our stay. We are deeply impressed by the high level of service and the overall quality this hotel provides. We are extremely satisfied and can confidently say that this hotel is truly outstanding. We highly recommend it to everyone — it’s a place where comfort, beauty, and genuine hospitality come together perfectly. The hotel’s SPA center deserves special praise. The atmosphere is relaxing and elegant, and the service is simply exceptional. The therapists are extremely professional, attentive, and skilled — every treatment felt carefully tailored to our needs. We were truly impressed by the quality of the procedures and the warm, respectful attitude of the staff. Their care, precision, and professionalism made the experience unforgettable. This is a large, modern, very well located hotel with good transport services and good value for money. Our driver dropped us at the car park outside the town. We met a hotel rep there, left our suitcases with him and hopped into a buggy. The buggy deposited us at the main entrance. Then you need to go to the hotel reception which is separate from the main reception/ticket purchase and situated at the end. Hotel staff would check you , give the entrance tickets and voucher , then you hop into the buggy and get dropped off at the main jetty. Then walk for three minutes. This hotel is centrally located. Room was large, clean, view of Simatai wall, firm beds, no noise or smell issue, good water pressure. Slept very well. We loved walking in the town in the night. Simatai wall is wonderful at night. The cable car is about 15 minute walk. We loved the décor and the beautiful paintings. We even bought a paper butterfly from the hotel. Breakfast spread was large with some veg options. On the way out the buggy will drop you straight at the car park. The staff were friendly. Very little English spoken but we were used to that. Highly recommended.

The stay at Beijing WTown Hotel was completed the night prior to checking into Watertown Hotel, enabling a comparison of the two five-star hotels in Gubei. Unlike Beijing WTown Hotel, where the staff demonstrated a high level of professionalism, took the initiative, and provided extensive information about the town and activities, the check-in experience at Watertown Hotel was ordinary and did not resemble a 5-star kind of standard. The themed room at Watertown did not really resemble a theme room as shown on the booking page, aside from a pig figurine placed on the sofa. The view from the room on the third floor was mediocre, was told by another staff during check-in that most rooms in the hotel lack a view. However, the view from the swimming pool was great. The hotel is situated just outside the scenic area. An advantage of this location is that vehicles can drive directly to the hotel, offering convenient access.

We booked our stay at the Yanqi hotel to get away from the city for a few days in the middle of our Beijing trip. The room was very clean calm and spacious with very comfortable bedding, although compared to other 5 star expericences I had, the finishing of the room were not great. the tiles around the bathtub were chipped and put back togehter with sloppy caulking the terrass/balcony was missing a seat cushion and the balcony door didn't lock. Also I had quite the trouble with the light switches thoughout the room which for some reason didn't respond every time you pushed them. The water pressure is my last point of critique, it took 45 minutes to fill a bath. The staff is friendly and helpfull. probably due to the vast size of the hotel and number of guests our stay didn't feel very personal. this may also be because some of the staff members don't speak English. the day on our arrival (around 2;30 PM we would have liked to have a drink and a light lunch on a terrasse, unfortunately the kitchen of all restaurants were closed and they don't have an outdoor bar (only an outdoor seating area). Our only option was the lobby bar but they didn't sell savoury food, only cakes and candy. staff told us roomservice might be available but would take a very long time. This meant we skipped lunch. (there is a vending machine on the property that sells instant noodles, which for us is not an option) All together our stay was a little bit dissapointing eventho the island is very well maintained and quite relaxing and has a huge potential.

The surrounding area of the hotel is beautiful. I can only imagine how much more stunning it must be during the spring or fall. It’s a wonderful hotel for a staycation, and we enjoyed every minute of our stay.

Easy check in, friendly staff. The room was very big. The campus that the hotel was on was very quiet. It seemed like construction may have been started on the other buildings, but was never finished?

I had an incredible weekend at Club Med Joyview Beijing Yanqing! It was the perfect family escape, offering a fantastic blend of fun and relaxation. The location was ideal, being just a scenic 1.5-hour drive from downtown Beijing. The resort had something for everyone: the kids adored the massive indoor water park and the huge sports hall, while the amazing G.O. team kept everyone entertained with nightly shows and lively parties. We enjoyed the delicious buffet food and even visited the resort's own Cloud Winery for a unique experience. What made it truly special was the hassle-free, joyful atmosphere that allowed both kids and adults to have a great time. It was a refreshing and recharging getaway that I highly recommend.

I had a pleasant stay overall. The location is excellent—right in front of a metro station, with bus stops nearby, making it very easy to get around Beijing. There is also a nice bakery downstairs and several shops in the area, which was very convenient. The hotel provided all the amenities I needed, including an iron, and I was especially grateful that the staff arranged an early check-in for me, which made a big difference after my journey. The only minor downside was that my room's window faced the inner courtyard, so there wasn't much natural daylight. Also, the hallway rugs made it a bit difficult to roll luggage around. However, these were small inconveniences compared to the overall positive experience. The hotel was comfortable, well-equipped, and very convenient for exploring the city.

It was a great choice for a hotel in beijing, all staff speaks English, some even French. Everyone is very caring and helpful. The rooms look exactly the same as in the pictures, the cleanliness is beyond great, the breakfast tastes amazing, the location is perfect as it is close to everything. I even befriended Mr Yang, the manager, who recommended all the touristic places, helped me with setting up WeChat Pay, bicycle apps and much more. I even went back for a second time, after my journey in china, with direct contact of the hotel and it felt like I'm back home again. I highly recommend it for anyone who's going through beijing, words aren't enough.

Courtyard hotel was very cute. However because it is older, there were small bugs I’d see often on my bed and the water drainage was slow for my room. Location is central but because it’s in a small alley, you have to walk a few minutes out to the main street to get picked up (unless the driver is willing)!
