Too much noise in the hotel this night (April 15th, 2024) due to groups of young people badly managed by their professors and worse by the hotel management. In the rooms next to mine the music and noisy conservations lasted until 2:00am ! No supervision by the hotel’s night staff and when I mentioned it to the night receptionist, there has been no improvement. I had to knock the door and complain directly to the occupants to make them stop. At 2:00am! To conclude, 1- no management of the distribution of rooms according to the types of people (the hotel knew it was hosting groups of students, it had placed them next to couple travelers), 2- no management of tranquility at night, yet it is clearly the main responsibility of an hotel (one comes to the hotel to sleep!). We wonder how the hotel is managed... Never more nights in Castello City Hotel of Heraklion.

Enjoyed it at breakfast, our room was so clean& with enough space with terrace& great view...Pool on 6th floor was pleasurable..All Hotel is interesting with exterior as well as interior...This hotel have so much to offer&most important to give you touch of happines at your stay! Sansal Boutique Hotel is a fantastic choice if you are looking for a location incredibly close to old town Chania and also the beach! It is a clean and modern hotel with excellent amenities. Our room had large glass windows on two sides of the bedroom, offering a lovely view of the sea! We also had a covered outdoor patio and sitting area to enjoy the view. The bathroom was large, and so was the shower. Breakfasts were plentiful; there was a large selection of food, and also a chef to make omelettes and other hot food options. The rooftop pool and bar were such a nice bonus! We relaxed there quite a few days in the afternoon, then easily walked to Chania or the beach areas for the remainder of the day. It was a fantastic location, don't think twice about staying at Sansal Boutique Hotel!

The hotel is pretty clean and modern. We found the beds to be very comfy and the hotel's location was pretty convenient near the old town and port areas. The rooms are well appointed with a couple of chairs, a work area, a coffee/tea station, big TV and a large bathroom. There were enough plugs around the room and many switches with light settings to get it just right. We appreciated the balcony and the view outside but there were some cars that drove by with very loud music each night. The only significant complaint we had was that the bathroom shower leaked very easily in our rooms and got the floor wet near the toilet. The breakfast at the hotel was pretty good with a variety of Crete foods like cheese and pastries. There was fresh scrambled eggs and a very good sausage available as well. The breakfast also had a large variety of preserved fruits that paired well with the Greek yoghurt and included oranges, cherries, grapes and figs. We appreciated that the hotel had inexpensive parking nearby at Central Parking which was 7 Euros per day with unlimited in/out privileges as long as we got a stamp when we got in. The hotel also had a restaurant that offered room service and there was a popular cafe just across the street. This hotel was a good base for exploring Crete with a convenient location near the airport and the price was very fair for us.

The hotel is strategically located within walls of old city between the beach of Ammoudara and the main attractions, not so far from them. Hotel is re-innovated 7 floor building. Rooms are not large, but but enough for the convenient accommodation. The room has the safe, TV, several chairs, table and the wardrobe, electric kettle, air conditioner. There is quite large balcony with two beach chairs and the small table and also drying hanger for the clothes. Unfortunately there is quite a lot of dust in the air from street, so everything gets dusty very quickly. The room has electric sockets next to the beds and two other sockets, one of them with USB port. The personnel speaks English and very friendly and helpful. The avenue Kalokerinou named after the discoverer of the Knossos Palace is quite busy road so it is nicer to live on higher floors. There is a restaurant serving good continental breakfast. There is omelette, ham, cheese, Greek yogurt, flakes, fruits, on the menu. Just 70 meters from the hotel there is Bazaar and in 200 m is Chalkiadakis supermarket, Lidl in 800 m outside of the city walls. All closed on Sundays. The avenue Kalokerinou has several street food places, and if you walk 400 m to Morosini Lions Fountain you can find even more restaurants there. Heraklion has a problem with great beaches, but in 500 m from the hotel there is a Dermatos Bay, where is a wild beach where one can deep into the sea. The proper beach is in Ammoudara in 2.2 km from the hotel. There is another beach in 1 km in front of Talos Plaza shopping mall, but it is rocky and no sunbeds or lifeguard. Another place to swim is the port mole starting from the Kules fortress in 1.2 km. The mole protects from high waves when it is windy and other places are not suitable for swimming.

Das Hotel wirkt am Eingang recht hochwertig und man fuehlt sich gut aufgehoben. Ich würde sagen es hat kein 5-Sterne Niveau, aber so um die 3,5-4 absolut. Das Zimmer das wir bekommen hatten, hatte leider keine Fenster (in der Beschreibung stand es gibt eins). Kein Problem für uns. Unsere größter Kritikpunkt ist, da es in der Dusche keine Tür gab, weil diese entfernt wurde. Somit konnte man leider nicht richtig duschen ohne Wasser nach außen zu spritzen. Als wir es beim Empfang bescheid gegeben hatten, gab es leider nur ein „wussten wir gar nicht“ und lieber ans klingelnde Telefon gehen und den Gast stehen lassen. Wer soll es dann wissen wenn nicht das Hotel, leider somit weit entfernt von 5-Sterne Service. Eine kleine Entschuldigung hatten wir erwartet, und das man sich dem Problem annimmt. Finde ich wirklich Schade, dass man so viel Geld und dann ein Zimmer bekommt, welches nicht dem Standard entspricht und eigentlich nicht auf dem gewollten Niveau ist um an Gäste vergeben zu werden. Zum Glück haben wir nur einen Tag hier verbracht und vorher in einem richtigen 5-Sterne Hotel die Woche verbracht. Ich kann hier wirklich nur overall 3/5 Sterne geben.

I couldn’t fault it, it is absolutely amazing more than I expected. The interior design is amazing and professionally done, bathroom design gave me ideas for our new home. It’s near shops but having a car is a must, Crete is one large and beautiful island. The restaurant outside is amazing and we also found a great cafe down the road which had great food.

We were so happy that we chose these apartments for our 3 night stay in Heraklion. We were 3 families and chose the one bedroom, one bedroom suite and 2 bedroom. The apartments were very modern and furnished perfectly. The air conditioning worked extremely well and the staff were very happy and helpful. They were available to provide us as many bottles of water as we asked for and provide helpful info on anything. The location was superb, literally walk out the lobby and into the main square of Heraklion. Restaurants, shops and sightseeing right at the steps! Parking for our cars was a couple of blocks down in a parking garage (8 euros per day) with in and out privileges. A quick 5 minute drive to the ferry terminal. I would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely stay again when back in Heraklion.

First of all, l will get the negative points out, which are not alot, only 3 small points. 1 was the bathroom....very small, we had to stand in the shower to be able to close the door when entering the bathroom as there wasnt enough room to move around ! 2nd the tv kept losing the stations, therefore, we could not watch any tv. And lastly, the ”dressing table” had the mirror so high, l had to sit on 2 pillows to be able to see myself (and l am not a short person !) But as for the rest .......The enormous bed gave us the best sleeps ever, it was a spacious room, very quiet as we did not have a seaview, which suited our mood fine ! The breakfast was at the hotel nearly next door, and had a very luxurious breakfast on offer from fresh fruit to fried eggs......fresh bakery items lots of choices. The girl behind the counter l think Constandina was extremely helpful. she even made us a breakfast bag as the day we were leaving was very early, which we found very considerate of them. In all, it was a very pleasant experience

Second time we stayed here. We knew the location ( excellent but a little hectic with narrow lanes). We asked for a balcony as sea view on higher floors and roof terrace. Simple but good breakfast.

Excellent place to stay with great service. Even prior to our stay, Ioanna and Irene were very helpful over email with queries and organising transport and an excursion. The room itself was very well suited for a family, with lots of space and two rooms. The beds were comfortable and the housekeeping service was great. Really appreciated the complimentary water and coffee, the toiletries were also very good. Location was very convenient, with lots of cafes, grocery shops and restaurants nearby. (Would recommend Cozy Cafe, excellent coffee!). Within walking distance to the town and Old Harbour. I would 100% return and stay at Trianon Luxury Apartments & Suites again and could not recommend enough.

Stayed in suite with sea view. The view was amazing. The room was lovely, bed super comfy. There was a nice vanity table to get ready at. Bathroom was big and clean. The service at reception were very helpful. The location was great right in old town but not too noisy - music from restaurant in evening but I liked it and church bells on Sunday. I really enjoyed my stay here and was very happy with the suite. Couple of things to point out: there was no furniture on the balconies and aside from a pouf, no furniture in room to move outside. So meant nothing to sit on to enjoy balcony and it’s view. Also the curtain was only half curtain so to block out light need to shut the shutters which then restricts air. I didn’t mind but if you want darkness to sleep might need to bring eye mask. Like I said only minor things. Overall great place. Hot water - i mention as I know this is important to people :)

Great Room, Deluxe room feels spacious and staff is always helpful

Nice hotel with perfect location near bus station and old town. I really liked breakfast and want especially mention grissini, fresh fruits and vegan cheese. Coffee was from machine but it was good and enough choices. The view from our balcony was on inner ward, where were lots of pigeons, so also lots of pigeon poop everywhere. In the fridge were one bottle of water and two bottles of lemonade free of charge.

Every hotel staff was smiley, friendly and helpful. We received welcome snacks snd message in the room. The room was modern with air condition, high ceiling and nice amenities. Breakfast was buffet-style as and adequate. Location is very close to many shops and restaurants but without the noise. I enjoyed the deep tissue massage at their spa. Enhancement areas suggested for Room 11: shower door does not close; the queen bed was two separate single beds put together instead of one mattress, and with separate bedcover sheets instead of one queen sized bedcover sheet; a kettle would have been useful.

The room was spacious and the hotel was super clean and extremely comfortable. Everything felt brand new and the service was really 5 star. We were happily surprised to learn that the indoor swimming pool is actually just a giant jacuzzi. We spent an hour there on our last night which was super nice. The bed is really comfortable and the place is quiet. There is a valet service for parking your car and we got welcome drinks and snacks on arrival. Thanks again for the free bottle of wine and fruit bowl as a VIP welcome gift. We really enjoyed and will come back to this hotel if we ever visit Chania again one day.

I had a pleasant 7 night stay here at this accommodation while in Heraklion, Crete. It belongs to the Lato Boutique, which is the main hotel. The Annex is right opposite and required card access to enter. Room was the Economy room (15 sq. metres), a little on the small side, but good enough for a solo traveller. The room was right next to the stairwell and the lift, so there were times I could hear people moving about, but at night it was very quiet, and there were no sleep disruptions. Bed was comfy, air-conditioning was also good. The shower was also good, with shampoo and soap provided, though I noticed it was running a little low towards the end of my stay (i.e., no refills were done). I also appreciated that a luggage rack was provided, along with two bottles of water on check-in day. Fridge was big enough to fit lots of mineral water bottles to keep them cold, which would be a great reprieve in the summer time. Room safe was incredibly huge as well, it can easily store laptops securely, if needed. The elevator door got stuck on the day of check-out, but still worked, so not too big of an issue there. Wi-Fi requires a special code that you can get from the reception. My first code strangely stopped working after two days, but was promptly rectified after I informed the reception of the issue. There were no other connectivity issues for me. The hotel location is pretty near to the Venetian Port, and the Rocca Fortress; it is also walking distance away from the main shopping street in Heraklion and lots of good eating places nearby. There are also supermarkets nearby to get water as well. It does get quiet at night, but I did not encounter any incidents that made me feel unsafe. My room came with buffet breakfast included, which is served in the main building. Breakfast starts service from 7 am onwards, and was generally quite crowded at the start. Depending on the crowd level, the staff will occasionally open up a new section of the dining area. Breakfast was generally good, there was a good spread of American breakfast items, to pastries, ham and cheese and even Greek yogurt with a lot of condiments. It varied a little bit from day-to-day, but was generally the same for the most part.

Good location, excellent service and amazing staff. They were very friendly and our room was very clean and tidy. Also it was smelling freshness when we entered the room. Everyday they ask you if you want your room to be cleaned and they are always available to help you. I 100% recommend it and will definitely stay again!

Had the pleasure of staying at Intra Muros. Initially I just came there to settle in, meet some new friends and venture out from there. My first night there I ended up meeting the most amazing people whilst traveling and needless to say I ended up extending my stay with them because the vibe there was so good that I didn’t want to leave. Have to thank the owner of the establishment who was there during the day and all the amazing volunteers that make my stay amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a better time. My first day there I was invited to go on a sunset walk by David which led to me getting to know every one who was there which ended up at an amazing Greek Mexican fusion restaurant. After dinner which we ended up going out around town. David is a volunteer staying at intra muros and does a couple of hikes and tours around the area and around. If anyone needs any food option or advice on the local eating and drinking spots he’s your man. My most memorable moment staying at the hostel was the hike that we did up to the aqueduct and the second hike we did which ended at a winery for a tasting and charcuterie. Safe to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and I’ll definitely be back next year. Thank you again to everyone who made my stay wonderful. Until next time.

Simply amazing decor to match the great history of Crete, particularly the Minoan civilization, clean spaces, and excellent communication for late arrival to the hotel. Perfectly located within walking distance to the Archaeological Museum, yummy seafood restaurants, the bus and taxi stations, if one wants to visit the birthplace of Zeus/cave or the famous monastery. Dimitris, his son, and Mary were very friendly and welcoming. It was wonderful to hear Mary's historical knowledge of ancient Egyptian and ancient Greek civilization-- the friends of the ancient Khmer civilization. Definitely recommended.

Having travelled across Crete on an exceptionally hot day we navigated the often mad roads of Heraklion to find this gem of a place. Brilliant staff, apartment and amenities!! We found the apartment to be very modern with all the mod cons and more! The staff were very locally knowledgeable and generous with their time and assistance. We couldn’t recommend this highly enough. As a family of four it’s often hard to do these kind of trips well and we needed a one night lay over in comfort prior to an early ferry to Santorini. I only wish we’d planned an extra night here to chill in luxury a bit more. The pool Is hilariously tiny but good fun and not to be avoided even if there are others enjoying it’s bijou status. There is a decent sized gym with treadmill and various weightlifting gadgetry too! Just book it!
