Located just a few minutes walk from the JR Iseshi Station, which is very convenient! Cozy, quiet, spacious guest room. The public bath was nice, however, as we stayed in the guest room in the adjacent building, we had to walk through the public street in order to access the public bath. Overall, it's a really good hotel in Ise!
Room is quite small, and the air conditioner temperature cannot be adjusted from inside the room, which is really inconvenient. However, the reception staff are very friendly and polite, and the location is close to the train station.
Excellent staff service. Although the onsen is not big , it is well designed. The food (if you include breakfast in your booking) served in the restaurant is very nice. The dinner is highly recommended.
Great location!
Waking up in early morning and walked to Meiotoiwa power spot was such a fresh start of the day.
Sea breeze and calm wave brought us a serene mind on our 2nd day of January.
However, room was quite outdate but clean. I was surprised by thin wall that you can heard the person next room singing song when they’re showering lol.
Breakfast line and space as well as private bath is quite limited. Better to arrive and early check in to pre book both BF time and private bath.
•the hotel is very big and it take a long walk from the lobby to the room and the room to the onsen
•the room was decorated simply muji style and was spacious
•the onsens was near the lobby and the water is not hotspring water but herbal/floral water
•although the onsen was spacious but the onsen was dirty; there are hair floating on the surface of the water everywhere
•the onsen outdoor is only lukewarm and there were insects floating
• there are shampoo and shower cream provided but there are no body lotion provided in the makeup room the hairdryer is not good
•you have to make reservationfor the breakfast in the morning beforehand otherwise our choice might not be available
•you can choose to eat breakfast from 5-6 restaurants and there is time slots to choose from
•we chose the 9:00am time slot for the ochazake set it was a traditional japanese breakfast some of is didn’t enjoy it because it has too limited choice
•we walked around the hotel it was huge we went to the organic farm house to shop for local goods and went to drink coffee sarutahiko the cofee and matcha was soo goodd must try!
The hotel is easily reachable by car, but if you are using the train, it’s 30/40min by walk or you should jump on a bus. Nearby there are konbinis and a supermarket, which is super useful if you want to eat at the hotel and take advantage of the microwave (there are not a lot of restaurants nearby). The hotel is clean and comfortable—if you want, you can also book a private bath room for free, which is great.
On top of the usual amenities, you can also find different options for shampoo and conditioner (ex. one for damaged hair, etc..)

Great
GGuest UserThe open-air bath was amazing!
The changing room, shower room, and balcony
open-air bath were all connected, which was great.
The air purifier and the corners of the room were a little rough, but it wasn't too bad.
The staff were very helpful and polite when I checked in!
There were some shops open until around 10 PM, so I could go for a walk even after relaxing at the hotel!
I couldn't go this time, so I'll save it for next time. (T_T)
I was shocked that the room service I ordered was cold.
The room didn't have a microwave, which was a problem! The food was delicious!! There was also a snack and drink set that looked delicious!
Thank you so much!
AAIcyanToba International Hotel Shiojitei was an absolute highlight of our trip. The exceptional service truly stood out, embodying the Japanese spirit of 'omotenashi' from start to finish. This began with the shuttle pick-up from Toba Station, followed by detailed guidance during check-in, and enthusiastic explanations of each dish in the restaurant – every interaction was flawless.
The food, featuring local delicacies like Ise Bay seafood and Matsusaka beef, was undeniably delicious and beautifully presented. While you mentioned the portion sizes were 'rather average,' this is typical of kaiseki-style dining; although there are many courses, individual portions are small. For those with larger appetites, it might feel a little insufficient. The hotel facilities are well-maintained, with both the guest rooms and the onsen area (the Pearl Onsen left our skin sparkling!) being spotlessly clean. Overall, it has no obvious weaknesses; the service, dining, and ambiance harmonized perfectly to provide the best hotel experience of our trip.
TTravelbugXOur stay at Sun Urashima Yuki no Sato was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and impeccable hospitality that made us feel truly special.
The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered breathtaking views of Toba Bay. Waking up to the peaceful ocean scenery each morning was incredibly relaxing. The onsen was equally impressive—immaculately maintained, soothing, and the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring.
The kaiseki dinner and breakfast were exceptional. Every dish showcased the freshness of the local seafood and seasonal ingredients, with each course thoughtfully presented. Dining here wasn’t just a meal—it was an experience.
What stood out most was the attention to detail. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, from the seamless check-in to the thoughtful service throughout our visit. You can genuinely feel the pride they take in providing outstanding hospitality.
If you’re looking for an authentic luxury ryokan experience with amazing food, stunning views, and unforgettable service, Sun Urashima Yuki no Sato is absolutely worth the visit. We left feeling refreshed and already looking forward to returning someday.
GGuest UserIt's a clean and nice hotel. However, the bathrobe-style loungewear is easy to come undone, and the knot hurts when you lie down, which is annoying. It's quite stressful for someone who has come from far away and is tired and finally arrives at the hotel. I look forward to the future.
The staff's service is polite and elegant, and the location is very close to the station, so I would like to use it again in the future.
Personally, I don't think it's necessary to serve customers with masks. I remember that the WHO also announced that masks are not effective for either coronavirus or influenza. Japan is the only country that is lagging behind in wearing masks, and it has become part of the etiquette at work, but it's scary to serve customers without seeing their faces.
KKennyDuring my recent stay at Hotel R9 at Yard Tsu, I had a mixed experience, resulting in an overall rating of 3 out of 5. While the hotel was generally acceptable, there were some notable drawbacks.
One major issue I encountered was the cleanliness of the rooms. I was disappointed to find a significant number of insects on the walls, which was quite unpleasant and off-putting. As a result, I had to deduct points and give it a rating of 3 out of 5 for cleanliness.
Additionally, compared to my previous stay at another Hotel R9 location, the price at Yard Tsu was slightly higher. However, it was still within an acceptable range considering the overall quality of the hotel.
Despite the drawbacks, I must mention that the hotel's staff were courteous and attentive, providing decent service throughout my stay.
In conclusion, while Hotel R9 at Yard Tsu has some room for improvement in terms of cleanliness, its reasonable price and satisfactory service make it an acceptable choice for a short stay. However, I would recommend management to address the cleanliness issue to ensure a more pleasant experience for guests.
Sshao daoLovely licatiin just connected to Pacific seasude at Yosino ise national park via overbridge .. enjoyed beautiful Sunrise and seranity Moon light evening.
Just two minutes walk from a local train station Adawa.
Hitel staff was kind enough to search transportation from hotel to Nagoya airport with multiple options. Thus part is truly impressive and attendant of service quality.
Was no issue for meaks as jyst walking 3 mins Supermarket and restaurants.
Will stay again next trip.

GGuest UserThe outdoor unit of the air conditioner was extremely noisy...unfortunately, my stay was not satisfactory.
I consulted with the staff, but because the outdoor unit is located next to the bed (by the pillow), the noise from the outdoor unit continues when it's turned on. Also, although my room was on the 8th floor, I could hear people talking in the parking lot. Is this due to the location of the outdoor unit? Perhaps there's a small gap? In other hotels, you shouldn't be able to hear conversations from the parking lot from an 8th-floor room.
When I turned off the power because the noise from the outdoor unit was bothersome, the room temperature dropped very quickly...
The staff responded quickly and changed my room from the 9th floor to the 8th floor, but unfortunately, both the 9th and 8th floors were plagued by the noise from the outdoor unit and the cold.
CCOCOSK8I stayed without meals to watch sports. It's about 15 minutes walk from Ueno City Station, but it was very helpful because the rental car was nearby. There were plenty of restaurants such as Sukiya and Komeda Coffee in the neighborhood, which was more convenient than in front of the station. The room is an old building, but it was nice to be clean and clean.
TTianjiaThe hotel is very overpriced for an old facility. We booked an oceanview room but the windows are blocked with bars and can barely be opened. Our room on the second floor could barely see the ocean. Furniture and decoration scream OLD.
Most front desk workers are not Japanese. They claim to have an ”international crew” but the problem is they don't know much about Japan. When we asked the doorman about taking trains, he didn't have a crew because he just got to Japan from another Asian country. On the other hand, the restaurants only have Japanese workers and no one speaks English. We booked an 8-course dinner. The chef was going around to explain the dishes to guests but just left us when he found out we don't speak Japanese. The menu is in Japanese only.
This hotel also charged us at 135:1 foreign exchange rate while all other hotels charged 142-144:1 JPY-USD. It's not a foreigner friendly hotel and way overpriced for what it is.
