"The area is good but the only problem is that there are stairs to climb if you didn’t book their loft room. So is quite a down side for people with heavy luggage. The hotel did offer to help carry the luggage up but when you are checking out you are on your own."

Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable — everything felt fresh and perfectly prepared. The staff truly exceeded our expectations. They were incredibly polite, caring, and attentive to every detail. Their warm attitude and impeccable professionalism made us feel welcomed and valued throughout our stay. JJennLOA very beautiful resort, we had a bigger room on level 6 with a small view of the simatai great wall! You can see the day and night view of the great wall, beautiful. Not many rooms they have that can provide the view though. So do be specific when booking. As this hotel is within the watertown gated resort, moving around required you to carry your room card or the yellow booking slip to proof you are residents in order to enjoy free shuttle rides. Breakfast was good with lots of selection. We had free hotspring at another premises. The town became really quiet at night, walking to the hot spring can be alittle .. ehh … just dont walk alone! Hahahaha

YYaroslava G.I would like to express my gratitude to the hotel and its staff for the wonderful experience during my stay in Beijing. I had already stayed at this hotel back in January when I visited alone, and I liked it so much that my husband and I decided to book it again this time. The hotel is clean and cozy, with a very convenient location—three subway stations are within walking distance. The staff are hospitable and always ready to help. The breakfast is excellent and offers a great variety. Even simple dishes like your steamed sweet potato are incredibly tasty. The breakfast buffet always included steamed corn, sweet potato, and carrots; both sweet and savory steamed buns; two types of porridge; side dishes; several hot meals; a vegetable salad; fruits; coffee; milk; toast; and pastries. The dining room staff are sweet and attentive, always creating a positive mood. The room was cozy, with spotlessly white bed linens and towels. During the daily housekeeping, they left a lovely treat in the room: tea, coffee, a snack, a candy, and a milk drink. I also fell in love with the green tea you provide in the room. I've been missing it since January! I tried to find where to buy some, but I couldn't find any that tasted as good. Near the hotel entrance, there's a charming area with bars, coffee shops, and cats. Out of the five hotels and apartments we stayed at in China, we liked this one the most. To provide a balanced review, I will also mention a few areas for improvement: 1. I would prefer a mattress with independent pocket springs. The current one is very bouncy, so when one person tosses and turns at night, it's quite uncomfortable for two people to sleep. 2. The entire bathroom floor gets wet after showering. If one person takes a shower, you can't approach the toilet or the sink for two hours because of the standing water. It would be great to have a squeegee in the bathroom to push the water toward the drain and help the floor dry faster. 3. Smoking in the rooms is officially prohibited, but periodically, someone smokes, and the cigarette smoke comes directly into our room through the ventilation system. Waking up at night because you can't breathe and finding your entire room filled with cigarette smoke is one of the worst experiences. After it happened, we started leaving the bathroom exhaust fan on and the bathroom door closed at all times. Unfortunately, smoking is very common in China, including indoors. 4. The noise from the corridor and adjacent rooms is very audible. Considering that some guests return around 2 AM while others are already getting up at 4 AM, you can only sleep if you use earplugs. Earplugs are available for free at the reception, just like toiletries. 5. Most guests were from China (the staff doesn't speak English), but there were a few European guests who behaved disrespectfully towards the staff and other guests. I felt ashamed on their behalf. I thank the staff for their hospitality and will be delighted to stay with you again on my next trip to Beijing!

PPengguna TetamuGubei Watertown Hotel is the best choice we ever made for Gubei trip! The hotel came with the package of spacious room overseeing Simatai Great Wall, unlimited entrance access to Watertown via face recognition, 1 afternoon tea at QingYe Inn (we were pleasantly surprised with the food that they served!), 1 Chinese tea 禅茶with cookies/ fruits n nuts in TongYuan pagoda. We stayed 3D2N in this lovely serene town during this freezy winter but we were paid off with no crowd and zen feel. Breakfast choice is superb based on the varieties that they prepared. Simatai Great Wall is just walking distance but we go with free shuttle service since we are the hotel guests. Simatai Great Wall ticket with 2 way cable car cost CNY220 for day trip. Simatai Great Wall also has night view with cable car cost CNY200 but if you are the hotel guest then special rate at CNY120. It is the only Great Wall that has night view n it is lovely n touching to see Gubei town at night from top of Great Wall. After night Great Wall, we went to sauna spa (voucher provided in hotel package 🥰) n the pool overlooking Great Wall, lovely isn’t it? I want to specifically thank the hotel staff 冀英杰being super helpful to show us the room, recommended the best food, showing the way of work for Great Wall route n he was the one who highly recommend Great Wall night view and I truly appreciate it. He has also helped me to get the money changing since we are back to Beijing via bus, also helping us to keep the luggage after check out as we are walking around to wait for 5pm bus. Overall, I really felt happy to choose this hotel with full package which cost optimal with quality stay. What a memorable trip in Gubei!

HHannah Lauren Bond- The location is excellent. It is just round the corner from Gubei Water Town. A two minute walk to the entrance hall. - The service was good. The staff added us on WeChat and were very quick to respond to messages and queries. One stand out moment for us was when our food was 2 hours late from a local restaurant. I was struggling to communicate with the restaurant because my Chinese is not very good. Staff reached out on our behalf and sorted the issue for us. - Cleanliness was OK. The sheets on the bed felt lovely and clean, but the apartment was not spotless. The shower had some black mould, and the floor in the kitchen felt sticky. - The apartment itself had some pros. My son absolutely loved all the toys and the slides. It made his experience very enjoyable. - Plenty of towels, toiletries provided. However - The shower leaked constantly. Every time we used the shower the bathroom would become flooded - which was a slipping hazard for my son. - The curtains are very thin. Every morning we were woken up to a bright light streaming through the windows. This meant that my son’s sleep was not great. We did contact the staff about this. They used sellotape to stick up some bedsheets on the windows, but this fell down within minutes! We appreciate the efforts though. - We would have felt better if there was a stair gate. As this is an apartment aimed at families, a stair gate would be good for safety. - Limited cutlery is provided. We were given some disposable chopsticks. However very few cooking utensils / no children’s cutlery. Bring your own if you want to cook. :) - There was only once choice of breakfast - which was not to our personal taste. Would be good if 2 or three options were provided. There is a lovely bakery around the corner and we enjoyed buying our breakfast from there for the remainder of the trip.

NNgai Ching 826Yanqi Hotel is definitely my favourite hotel in this trip to Beijing. Thanks to Shirley who responded to my request for a lake view room with bathroom also facing the lake. She also took very nice family photo for us. The hotel is located at Yanqi Island and is surrounded by water. Beautiful! The interior design is also wonderful. Just can’t keep my eyes off those paintings and decorations. The corridor and rooms are very spacious. We stayed at the lake view suite, it’s beautiful. Highly recommended. We were lucky to see the sunset view at the entrance of the hotel. If you wake up early, you can also see the sunrise in the room (from the other side if the lake). On a clear day, we saw numerous stars in the dark sky. All staff in the hotel are helpful and friendly. They helped us with luggage, late check out , photos and others. Thanks a lot! Next time I will request a room on the higher floor and some rose petals decoration on the bed 😃

QQMA travelsHotel room was great with ample space even for 3.Directly Connected to the hot spring which we can enjoy all day. Hence, you don't have to worry about cold weather. This hotel is near Daxing airport. Cost around 50 to 60 RMB by Didi app. Hotel breakfast has good selections, esp. The 煎饼 is nice. I also like the Chinese 小菜。Service is excellent , esp the waitress 杨丽彤 wo served our table. Good hotel choice for those who want to stay near airport but away from the buzzling city

TthousandmilesNot worth the price and disappointing - I booked this place after looking at the images on the website, they looked very convincing. So I booked it for me and my wife to spend a relaxing day looking at the peaceful mountains and forest. However those pictures were quite misleading. The hotel is a compound of lackluster buildings build to a mountain side right next to the road. The view is nothing like in the website photos but quite mediocre. The room was quite good and modern. Which was the only plus point. Also the smart toilet and bathroom with the bathtub was nice, but it was evident the hotel staff needs to learn more about housekeeping. It seems like they were penny pinching. The bedsheets had holes in them, no glasses to drink water, only two water bottles and only two packs of coffee. Very very disappointing for the price I paid for one night. Furthermore although it says 24 hours concierge service，after 9 pm they stop responding to messages on wechat. I asked in Chinese to send some water bottles and glasses but they didn't respond. Very unprofessional. The breakfast was also pretty basic. Not even fresh juice, just a typical Chinese breakfast you will find in any low budget hotel. The swimming pool was so so and dirty. Other amenities were for kids, so I can't comment on those. Overall the hotel is very mediocre and not worth the money they are charging per night. I won't recommend this place to anyone as there are better places around this area for lesser price.
