"The stay at Jingli Hotel (Beijing Heshenghui Dajiaoting Subway Station Branch) was excellent, comfortable and highly recommended. We stayed at the first level room with a courtyard, it was spacious, clean and well equipped. We can see a bit of snow on the floor. The staff were all very friendly, especially 小石，小颖 , they were attentive, and always willing to help. Breakfast is with good spreads. Hotel also provided delicious supper like porridge and fruit every night. Free mineral water, surgical mask, drinks. The hotel’s location is near to the subway, Beijing South Railway Station. The hotel prepared breakfast takeaway when we left at 7am for the high speed train to Hangzhou and this surpised us We were very happy and will definitely stay at this hotel if we visit Beijing again. Thank you."

"The hotel boasts an excellent location within the Second Ring Road, right by the Temple of Heaven Park. It's quiet and safe, which gave us great peace of mind travelling with our child. Situated within a training school compound and set back from the main road, it's particularly peaceful. While the hotel is a bit older, it's impeccably neat and clean. The rooms are a little small and the soundproofing is only average, but considering its prime location, we really can't complain."

MM18735****We come to Half-Mountain at Haiwan almost every winter, and this time the experience was particularly fantastic. The service was incredibly attentive. My butler, Luna, sent me a lot of information about hotel activities in advance. I tried the morning floating sound bowl session in the Mercury hot spring pool with an Indian instructor. Listening to the bowls while focusing on my breath and the sensation of floating was incredibly relaxing. The morning Hatha yoga class, also with an Indian instructor, was very soothing and stretching. The service at Half-Mountain is genuinely excellent; every staff member is friendly and enthusiastic, and requests are met very quickly. The hot springs are as good as ever, the water is clean, and my skin felt wonderfully smooth afterward. During this stay, I tried both the Chinese and Western restaurants. The Chinese food portions were very generous, and the boiled beef and stir-fried eggs with tomatoes were surprisingly delicious. The Chinese meal also came with mixed grain rice, steamed with raisins and red dates, which my child devoured two bowls of! The Western food was also very good. As we were leaving, Luna even gave my child an ice cream, which made them incredibly happy. We'll definitely be back when the weather gets a bit colder, and next time I plan to stay an extra day!

MM58377****Every time I visit Gubei, I stay here. First off, the location is super convenient; as someone who dislikes traveling long distances, it's great that the hotel is close to the Great Wall, hot springs, and the water town. As a family-friendly hotel, it's very clean, and the service is warm and attentive, truly making you feel at home. This time, the changing rooms at the swimming pool were under renovation. It would have been better if this had been communicated to us when checking in. I went down with my belongings, only to have to return to my room to change clothes, which was a bit of a hassle.

GGuest UserWe were pleasantly surprised by the homely atmosphere upon arrival and were warmly greeted by the host (co-owner). We booked a room to accommodate 4 of us but realised upon arrival that it was a little too small to accommodate all of us. The host immediately gave us another adjoining room within the same chalet at a very reasonable rate. The rooms were very thoughtfully designed, for example there were heat lamps above the shower stall so that one did not have to contend with the cold after a shower; and the bathroom lights were motion sensor activated so that one did not have to stumble around in the middle of the night. The place is well-kept and has excellent and personalised service. We were driven by the host to the Nanshan ski park and nearby places for dinner, and on the last day to the train station; all this at no extra cost. The in-house dinner was good and delicious and very reasonably priced. It is a cozy place for families to gather and engage in recreational activities. We were treated to a traditional tea session within the premises by the host, who was extremely gracious and warm. All the co-owners were also extremely helpful and attentive to our needs, making our short stay there a truly unforgettable experience. Thank you! We will return in the near future! :)

HHannah Lauren Bond- The location is excellent. It is just round the corner from Gubei Water Town. A two minute walk to the entrance hall.
- The service was good. The staff added us on WeChat and were very quick to respond to messages and queries. One stand out moment for us was when our food was 2 hours late from a local restaurant. I was struggling to communicate with the restaurant because my Chinese is not very good. Staff reached out on our behalf and sorted the issue for us.
- Cleanliness was OK. The sheets on the bed felt lovely and clean, but the apartment was not spotless. The shower had some black mould, and the floor in the kitchen felt sticky.
- The apartment itself had some pros. My son absolutely loved all the toys and the slides. It made his experience very enjoyable.
- Plenty of towels, toiletries provided.
However
- The shower leaked constantly. Every time we used the shower the bathroom would become flooded - which was a slipping hazard for my son.
- The curtains are very thin. Every morning we were woken up to a bright light streaming through the windows. This meant that my son’s sleep was not great. We did contact the staff about this. They used sellotape to stick up some bedsheets on the windows, but this fell down within minutes! We appreciate the efforts though.
- We would have felt better if there was a stair gate. As this is an apartment aimed at families, a stair gate would be good for safety.
- Limited cutlery is provided. We were given some disposable chopsticks. However very few cooking utensils / no children’s cutlery. Bring your own if you want to cook. :)
- There was only once choice of breakfast - which was not to our personal taste. Would be good if 2 or three options were provided. There is a lovely bakery around the corner and we enjoyed buying our breakfast from there for the remainder of the trip.

__WeChat264139****Affordable prices, a pleasant environment, and numerous hot spring pools are why we return every year. This visit brought a mix of pleasant surprises and some disappointments.
The hot spring section, in particular, delivered exceptional service. Attendant Han Xuejuan noticed me sitting and proactively offered a fresh, dry towel and a bottle of water. Another male attendant also came around with a tray, offering complimentary tea. Attendant Wang Fang checked in with guests, asked for feedback on our experience, and even gave a small gift to my child, who was absolutely delighted.
However, the dining service within the hot spring area was quite disappointing. We arrived at 4:40 PM and were told ordering would only begin at 5:00 PM, so we had to wait. We ordered two rice bowls (donburi style) and a bowl of noodles. As my child was nearly done with her beef rice, she pointed out a hair in my bowl—a very thin, small one. Given we were almost finished, I didn't see the point in complaining, and honestly, even when cooking at home, such things can happen, so I decided to overlook it.
What's more, the bowl of noodles still hadn't arrived after more than 40 minutes. When I inquired, they said a large pot of water hadn't boiled yet. There was no prior warning when we ordered that preparing it would take over 40 minutes due to the need to boil such a large pot of water. My child was already hungry and restless, which was incredibly frustrating.
I was seriously considering giving a low rating for the dining experience, but the outstanding service from the hot spring staff deeply impressed me. Ultimately, I decided to let it go; a little mutual understanding goes a long way.

GGuest UserGubei Watertown Hotel is the best choice we ever made for Gubei trip! The hotel came with the package of spacious room overseeing Simatai Great Wall, unlimited entrance access to Watertown via face recognition, 1 afternoon tea at QingYe Inn (we were pleasantly surprised with the food that they served!), 1 Chinese tea 禅茶with cookies/ fruits n nuts in TongYuan pagoda. We stayed 3D2N in this lovely serene town during this freezy winter but we were paid off with no crowd and zen feel. Breakfast choice is superb based on the varieties that they prepared. Simatai Great Wall is just walking distance but we go with free shuttle service since we are the hotel guests. Simatai Great Wall ticket with 2 way cable car cost CNY220 for day trip. Simatai Great Wall also has night view with cable car cost CNY200 but if you are the hotel guest then special rate at CNY120. It is the only Great Wall that has night view n it is lovely n touching to see Gubei town at night from top of Great Wall. After night Great Wall, we went to sauna spa (voucher provided in hotel package 🥰) n the pool overlooking Great Wall, lovely isn’t it?
I want to specifically thank the hotel staff 冀英杰being super helpful to show us the room, recommended the best food, showing the way of work for Great Wall route n he was the one who highly recommend Great Wall night view and I truly appreciate it. He has also helped me to get the money changing since we are back to Beijing via bus, also helping us to keep the luggage after check out as we are walking around to wait for 5pm bus. Overall, I really felt happy to choose this hotel with full package which cost optimal with quality stay. What a memorable trip in Gubei!

OOlga aka AmyI travelled together with my family on the first day of the year. A perfect location, favored for a couple of years. You never notice the amount of travelers and tourists here, it’s always quiet and pleasant experience! Perfect place to unwind and relax. We visited the park, the farm and the hot springs.
Hot springs outside are something! They look magical at night! Take into account there will be no one around you and you’ll get a brand new experience of soaking in steaming hot fragrant water under the stars…
Breakfast options are widely available for everyone, even a peaky eater.
Check-in and check-out procedures are easy, take little to no time. With registration in the hotel, one of the service members will give you their personal number, and they will be available for your call or request 24/7.
I wanted to say special thanks to Ms Little Housekeeper ( 小李管家). She helped me out a lot during the whole trip, and assisted with arranging flowers, food and my other special requests. Thank you , dear!

11580339****The hotel has been open for a while, and it shows. The wallpaper in the hallways is peeling, and some of the room designs are impractical. For instance, the row of power outlets below the TV is right next to the desk, making it inconvenient to plug in a kettle or a mosquito repellent. There are also very few TV channels available (a common issue with Time Walk hotels). The in-room game console that uses game cards has connection problems, leading to a poor experience. The only thing I was satisfied with was the service. Both the front desk staff and the housekeeping team were very polite and promptly attended to guests' requests. Thumbs up! 👍

GGuest UserThis was our first time at Club Med Yanqing, and we absolutely loved it. The environment is fantastic, and there are so many activities, perfect for families with kids. A special shout-out to Sherly, who took such wonderful care of us from the moment we checked in until we checked out. She even gave my daughter a gift! During the evening activities, she helped my daughter join in games with other children, and everyone was so welcoming and inclusive towards her 🎉. What's more, Sherly and many other Club Med staff speak excellent English, which makes it very convenient for international guests 👍👍👍. We also really enjoyed the buffet here; they have everything you could possibly want! We will definitely be back in the future.

Mmenqs001The location is fantastic, right outside a subway station. It's only about a 10-15 minute ride on Line 2 to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. Plus, Guorui City and New World are just a 5-minute walk away, making shopping and snacking super convenient! The room was clean and odor-free, and the bed was so soft I didn't want to get up. The staff, both the guys and girls, were incredibly warm and welcoming. I even forgot my charger, and they actively helped me borrow one! The *youtiao* (fried dough sticks) and *doufunao* (tofu pudding) at breakfast were incredibly authentic. There's also a Huguosi Snack bar downstairs, perfect for late-night cravings. It's an established hotel, and it feels reliable. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Beijing!
