"Summary: The best value-for-money hotel I've stayed in this year! Both the facilities and service were excellent. For the price of 200 [yuan], you get a 1000 [yuan] experience.
After arriving at the airport at 1 AM, there was an airport pick-up service, which arrived about ten minutes after I called. There's also a drop-off service at 5 AM, which is great.
Upon arrival at the hotel, a dedicated staff member greeted me. Since I arrived quite late, my room was upgraded for free. There was also a welcome tea and fruit. The handsome guy at the front desk even escorted me to my room and gave a brief explanation of the facilities.
The room's hardware and amenities were roughly 4 to 5-star standard, clean, tidy, and aesthetically pleasing.
They offer a wake-up service, and upon check-out, they thoughtfully gave a practical souvenir.
A really great stay! I left too early this time and didn't get to see the alpacas. I'll definitely stay here again next time I have a layover in Beijing. Highly recommend it, folks!"

Communication was never an issue because the hospitality felt sincere and thoughtful.
One highlight we all loved was the free laundry service. After long days of walking and sightseeing, having clean clothes without extra cost felt like a real luxury and made our trip so much easier. We were also pleasantly surprised by the free snacks, always available and perfect for late nights or quick bites before heading out.
Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained—ideal for resting after busy days exploring Beijing. Overall, it was a generous, caring stay that exceeded expectations. We may not have spoken the same language, but the service spoke volumes. Highly recommended."

GGuest UserWe were pleasantly surprised by the homely atmosphere upon arrival and were warmly greeted by the host (co-owner). We booked a room to accommodate 4 of us but realised upon arrival that it was a little too small to accommodate all of us. The host immediately gave us another adjoining room within the same chalet at a very reasonable rate. The rooms were very thoughtfully designed, for example there were heat lamps above the shower stall so that one did not have to contend with the cold after a shower; and the bathroom lights were motion sensor activated so that one did not have to stumble around in the middle of the night. The place is well-kept and has excellent and personalised service. We were driven by the host to the Nanshan ski park and nearby places for dinner, and on the last day to the train station; all this at no extra cost. The in-house dinner was good and delicious and very reasonably priced. It is a cozy place for families to gather and engage in recreational activities. We were treated to a traditional tea session within the premises by the host, who was extremely gracious and warm. All the co-owners were also extremely helpful and attentive to our needs, making our short stay there a truly unforgettable experience. Thank you! We will return in the near future! :)

GGuest UserThis was my second stay, and it was just as excellent as the first. Our butler, Tracy Zhang Xi, was incredibly responsive and provided thoughtful service. We initially had a different room than what we booked, but she promptly arranged a satisfactory change for us. She even helped us find an Ethernet cable and an HDMI cable, which was a huge plus.
The hot springs at Haiwan Banshan are built into the mountainside, and the beautiful scenery is a definite advantage. There are over 10 different types of pools, each with a great view. However, I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for extreme privacy, luxury, or a dedicated water play area for children.
The kids' play area at Haiwan Banshan is quite large. Among 5-star hotels in Beijing with hot springs, only Club Med, Badaling Jinyu, and Xishan Hot Spring Blue Parrot probably offer bigger and more entertaining options.
The suite was spacious, and the facilities were undeniably 5-star quality when compared to similar hotels. The only downside was the slightly higher price during holiday periods. The Ethernet port on the desk was fake; to get a wired connection, you had to use the port behind the bedroom TV, which was about 5 meters away. The butler could only find a 2-meter cable, which was a bit inconvenient for guests who need to work during their stay.
I didn't get to try the Bian stone sweat steaming at the wellness center as too many people had booked it.
The indoor air dome sports field is also very large, offering basketball, badminton, and table tennis, all of which require reservations. There's also a small outdoor ice rink where you can ice skate or play on ice sleds.

We brought our child to see the Great Wall, experience history, and enjoy the water town culture. It was a happy trip until we left. We'll definitely come back to stay for a couple of days and experience the hot springs!

MM25136****Every year when I travel back to Beijing, I always stop for a night in Gubei Water Town, and I consistently choose the Gubei Water Town Hotel. Everything from the comfort of the environment and the design of the landscape to the staff's service attitude and the dining (both the Chinese restaurant and the breakfast buffet) has always been satisfying.
Since I booked the room through a platform, I couldn't select a room with a view. So, I asked if I could switch to one. The front desk staff (a female attendant on duty that day) said, 'We will try our best to meet your request.' She then called the duty manager to help find a suitable room. Some rooms hadn't even been cleaned yet, but she told me not to worry, assuring me that they would definitely accommodate me.
Eventually, a more satisfactory room was found. The manager even personally helped me take my luggage to the room and pointed out the way to the restaurant. He also had someone bring me two bottles of water (as I use a lot of water). Their service moved me so much that I secretly took a photo of his name tag in the elevator, learning his name was Xing Guangxu. I didn't catch the name of the female front desk staff, but I also want to mention her (she was on duty between 16:30-16:50).

After soaking, you feel completely refreshed. The relaxation area thoughtfully provides free drinks and fruits, perfect for quenching your thirst and re-energizing.
The room was clean and tidy, and the heating was ample, making for a cozy stay in winter. The staff were warm and attentive, always ready to assist, which made us feel very comfortable. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options, setting us up for an energetic day.
What was most surprising was that the hotel offers skiing. After hitting the slopes, you can then relax in the hot springs, and all your fatigue melts away. Whether you're traveling with family or friends, this place is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserHere I am again, staying at this hotel. It's spotlessly clean, and the facilities are brand new. It's only about 200-300 meters from Gubei Water Town. My kids absolutely loved the family-themed room and started playing as soon as we arrived. A big thank you to our butler, Xiao Wang, for the thoughtful service and for arranging a room with a direct view of the Simatai Great Wall and the Water Town scenery from the window. It was a fantastic experience!

GGuest UserThis hotel is absolutely fantastic! I was traveling with two elderly people in Beijing, and our days were packed. We'd usually get back after 8 or 9 PM. The hotel's service was incredibly attentive; they provided so many amenities, all individually wrapped, so there was no 'you use it, then I use it' situation. They even offered foot-soaking tubs, and delivery food could be brought right to our room, which was a huge relief. The front desk is staffed 24/7 and they even offer wake-up calls. Housekeeping cleans daily, and the snacks and drinks on the table are complimentary. I think the most comfortable aspect of this place is the service; the staff are neither overly enthusiastic nor overly cold—they're just right, making communication feel incredibly comfortable and stress-free. I'm not usually one to leave reviews, but this place is genuinely excellent!!! Right before my flight, I realized the yogurt I bought wasn't sealed! But I was about to head to the airport! I asked the front desk if I could buy a roll of cling film to seal it myself for checked luggage. The front desk attendant went to check for me and gave me a huge roll! 🥹 I absolutely love this place! Every word I've said is true, no exaggeration!

MM47222****Our stay at Longxi Vienus International Convention Center was fantastic. The room was impeccably clean. We were also treated to a complimentary fruit plate. The kids especially adored the large balcony, which offered expansive views of the pool and lush greenery.
Breakfast in the morning was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options that the kids absolutely loved. We'd like to specifically commend Ms. Gan Jingxuan for her incredibly thoughtful service.
We also spent a significant amount of time enjoying the Longxi Hot Spring Water World. The water was pristine, the service was great, and there was an impressive array of hot spring pools to choose from. The children had a blast, especially with the bubble machine experience.
Manager Wang Fang also deserves a special shout-out for her exceptionally attentive service. We definitely plan to return!

MM43357****Traveling during the New Year's Day holiday, I absolutely have to give a special shout-out to Emily from the Guest Relations Department at this hotel! The hotel was packed with people during the holidays, and there was a constant stream of guests checking in, asking questions, and needing assistance. Yet, Emily maintained her full enthusiasm and patience throughout, without a hint of slacking off. We were staying with our child, and she proactively and thoughtfully took care of us, offering convenient services for children. Her responses to our inquiries were prompt and detailed, and her attitude was exceptionally good.

MM2g8s1kue****1️⃣ The hotel's location is truly unbeatable. Subway Line 2 is right at the entrance, and Tiananmen Square is only about 1.5 km away by bike, making it very convenient for sightseeing. Although it's a bit far from the Summer Palace, the location itself is genuinely great.
2️⃣ Now, about the service. On the night of the 30th, perhaps because the hotel is older, the soundproofing was exceptionally poor. Why do I say exceptionally poor? It was to the point where you could hear conversations from the next room crystal clear. This wasn't a huge issue until a man checked into the room next to us on the night of the 30th. His snoring was so incredibly loud that it was impossible to sleep. It was already past midnight, so I called the front desk. It seemed to be an intern who answered, and they very pleasantly moved us to another room, which was an upgraded room with an outer window. However, after the switch, the upgraded room was actually a bit smaller than the original one we were in. Since I had a 30-inch suitcase, it was quite cramped and difficult to move around once opened. Also, the room lacked an air purifier. All in all, the upgraded room was significantly less comfortable than the original one. I asked the intern at the front desk if they could offer a complimentary breakfast as compensation, but perhaps the intern didn't have the authority, so they didn't agree.
A few minutes later, the lobby manager called, explained the differences in the upgraded room, apologized, offered a complimentary breakfast, and arranged for housekeeping to deliver an air purifier and a humidifier (they initially sent the wrong item, so comrade Jianjun from housekeeping had to make two trips at such a late hour, which I felt very bad about, but comrade Jianjun's attitude was consistently good and not impatient at all, and I really want to praise him for that).
(The room was a bit warm, and I asked the front desk several times if there was a way to alleviate it. One reason was the central air conditioning, and the other was the in-room AC. Even after turning off the in-room AC, it was still very stuffy, and no other solutions were offered. However, the lobby manager on duty on the night of the 30th suggested bringing a humidifier, which felt very thoughtful. Overall, the solutions were very comforting).
The room is a bit old, given its age, but most of the staff are very enthusiastic, and transportation is convenient. I would still choose this hotel next time I visit Beijing.
