The hotel boasts a fantastic location in a bustling area, offering convenience for guests. The reception desk is exceptionally helpful, and the restaurant staff, particularly during breakfast, are outstanding. Wish the breakfast had more hot food variety and also better coffee options (only had filter coffee), neverthless still a great breakfast spread.The hotel comprises a modern half and an older section, but both segments provide all necessary amenities. Easy access to taxis and the nearby bus stop, which is ideal for convenient Iceland tour pick-ups. Overall, a comfortable stay with excellent service and accessibility.

The location was convenient and the room was clean and tidy. The wifi in the room was a bit slow and the shower had some signs of usage. Overall, our stay was good and would definitely recommend thanks to the good location.

The staff, accommodations, and location at the Reykjavik Residence Hotel were exceptional! We traveled with 3 families from the USA to Iceland with our elderly parents as part of our dad's 80th birthday bucket list. We corresponded with the hotel staff via email before our trip and they were very prompt and helpful in answering questions. You never know when you're emailing a hotel operation if you'll even get a reply. Imagine our delight when they replied quickly and were extremely helpful, even with offering restaurant suggestions or to call taxis for us. We organized the airport pickup car service which made our arrival very easy. With 6 people and lots of luggage, the car size was adequate and driver very professional. The driver took us to the hotel reception desk. We'd taken a red-eye flight and the hotel staff greeted us with a very warm welcome. They offered us coffee, a place to sit, and use of bathrooms. The reception area was comfortable and the bathroom even had a full-size luxurious tiled shower if needed (definitely not a truck stop shower here!). Our rooms weren't ready so they stored our luggage at no charge and were very accommodating when we needed to retrieve items. Upon check-in, they called a taxi to transport us and our luggage and to the building. It was only a few minutes walk, but this was very thoughtful considering it was a cold and windy winter day. Our building was newly renovated and was very clean and fresh. We had rooms on the basement level, the main level, and the top floor. Each room was spacious, had a large kitchen, and clean and comfortable bathrooms. The basement room had a full-size sliding door that walked outside. The top room had a mini balcony that overlooked the harbor. We'd read some reviews about a sulphur smell in the bathrooms or the water supply. We didn't experience this at all. In fact, we routinely filled our water bottles with the tap water in the rooms and it was perfect to drink. They performed daily housekeeping service automatically and we left laundry one day which was returned within 24 hours with no problems. Definitely take the breakfast option. The bread is baked fresh, filled with air pockets and crusty outside. Hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt (skyr), meats, and cheese. This was a great way to start the day. Coffee was included in the room and the kitchens also had mini-fridges which included a supply of milk and apple juice. The beds were very comfortable and rooms were well-heated. Wi-fi was fast and included. We spent one week at the hotel and highly recommend staying here. It was the size and layout of an apartment, with the amenities and service of a 5-star hotel. Things to watch out for: If you're traveling with others, try to arrange to be in the same building. The buildings are definitely spread out and are a far distance from the reception area. If we'd been in separate buildings, it would have been much more difficult t

This hotel has a lot going for it, but it's held back by the fit and finish of many of the hotel's spaces. Overall, the hotel just feels dated. The red carpet in all of the halls is faded and stained, the wood floor in the room had a lot of damage, and the spa is way past its prime. On a positive note, the furniture in the room has been updated recently and the pieces were nice plus I found the bed to be very comfortable. Also, breakfast was really good! The service at the hotel was also great. But that spa, ugh. It's a perk of being a gold/diamond member, but the spa is just not in good condition. Most urgently, something needs to be done about the steam room, it smelled awful while we were there and even made other parts of the spa smell. But overall, the spa was just not in good shape with damage everywhere. Also, the location of this hotel isn't great if you're looking to explore Reykjavik but, if like us, you want somewhere with free parking for you to explore the rest of Iceland, then this is a great location for you.

The location of the hotel is wonderful. It's very convenient to get on and off buses. Especially for the Tour Buses. A lot of restaurants, bars, and souvenir shops around there. I highly recommend travelers to stay there.

酒店有兩個門，一個正門，一個後門用於各種預訂活動的接送（在預訂極光或出海等活動時，最好和旅行社確認一下地址，攜程上面的地址是sigtun28，但是接送是在sigtun38，應該就是後門地址）我們第一天晚上的極光，就一直等在正門，打了電話給旅行社，才知道司機一直等在後門，跑到後門去，司機又已經開到前門來了…折騰了一下… 酒店有很大的免費露天停車場，對自駕出行很友好，不用費腦子去找停車場。離大教堂等景點大概5-8分鐘車程，步行就要15分鐘左右，在大冬天裏就不怎麼友好了。 早餐中規中矩，符合冰島當地一般水準（和之後住的希爾頓差不多）有自己動手現榨的橙汁，挺好喝的（可能是因為是自己榨的吧…） 酒店餐廳掛了很多獎牌，應該在當地是一家出色的餐廳吧。但是由於時間上的安排，沒能去吃一餐，現在還是比較遺憾的，如果有時間的話，可以嘗試下。 房間大小能接受，床品也相對舒適（可能因為時差和太累了吧，睡得好得不得了）衞生間有浴缸和淋浴房。暖氣是裝在窗台下的暖氣片，拉上窗簾的話，效果就不太好了。對了，這個酒店有一次性拖鞋，就直接放在房間抽屜，這在歐洲比較少見。

We stayed here for 5 nights during a trip to Reykjavik. The interior of the hotel is modern and extremely well decorated. It felt as though great care had been put into the presentation of the hotel. The rooms were nice and the bed was super comfy. The food in the hotel was extremely good. A nice selection of quality foods for breakfast and the dinner we ate at the hotel was some of the best food we ate in Iceland. The location of the hotel is also amazing - it is close to the downtown area meaning lots of choice for shopping, restaurants & cafe's as well as being a few minutes walk from the harbour and right next to the tourist bus stops where you typically get collected from for any tours you have booked. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Super disappointing experience from one of the nicest hiltons in Iceland. I have been a loyal diamond member for several years and this hotels service is seriously lacking. We specifically chose this one because the other Hilton in town had mediocre reviews regarding their service and this one was significantly better, but our experience was not the case. Starting from check in, no upgrades available. This is fine as I believe they were close to sold out. It was my husband's birthday and the front desk person handed me a piece of chocolate and that was in honor of his birthday??? Wild. Surely there was something small but nice they could've done but that was insulting. No help with bags and parking was a nightmare trying to find. Initial thoughts was that the room was so cute and we had the cutest balcony, which was a plus. They also offered free drinks in the lounge from 5-6. We went to dinner for three hours and came back to our room untouched. We thought maybe it was because they don't offer turndown service, which turns out they do. Housekeeping service is atrocious. No turn down service on any of the days we were there, nor housekeeping service. We asked the front desk if this is something we have to request, to which he said they are supposed to come twice daily without a request. We were shocked our room was purposely missed at least 3 times during our stay. Not even towels were replaced and front desk had sent them up along with waters. Nothing else was offered to rectify the situation which is not what we want to see or hear after hiking and sightseeing for 12 hours. We were out of the room from 8am until 9pm I am a loyal Hilton enthusiast but this one significantly missed the mark. We stayed at the edition last year and wanted to try something new. If you are looking for service, go to the edition. You won't get that here.

We stayed for a total of 5 nights in one of the lake view rooms. The rooms were spacious, very clean and enjoyed a fabulous view out over the lake (brilliant for watching the Northern lights on a clear night). Staff were super friendly & helpful and the hotel location allows for easy access to either the city or to access national routes to Vik, Golden Circle etc. Would highly recommend.
