"This hotel is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms are cottages which are very clean and spacious. The staff are warm welcomimh and ever ready to serve you. We were attended to by Lashika and he was our wonderful butler who was pleasant and attentive. There was so much food from the welcome drinks and snacks to dinner and the food was absolutely authentic and delicious. We had a great stay and experience here."

"Absolutely stunning, private, peaceful and relaxing. Our whole stay at Blue Water was perfect, the cabanas are cute, clean and spacious for couples. We couldn’t fault anything. We stayed for my 40th birthday and the team decorated our room, what a lovely surprise on entry. Although there is no air conditioning, the fans in the room are sufficient and the cabanas are designed well with openings for a breeze. Rinos is amazing, he was so attentive and looked after all of our needs. He’s really friendly, a pleasure to meet and an excellent chef. Sudha and Dinosan are both phenomenal, they make sure the whole area around the cabanas are pristine, they take so much pride and leave patterns in the sand for guests. There is a good variety of food, the fresh juices are so tasty. We had breakfast and dinner most days and Rinos catered for our tastes. The beach is private and only a few steps away, most days we were the only ones there, it is paradise. At night we fell asleep to the sound of the waves. Thank you Blue Water you made our stay unforgettable."

"Unfortunately, our stay was quite disappointing. When we arrived, there was no one at the reception, and we had to call the hotel to begin the check-in process. A few staff members arrived later, but the initial lack of assistance left a poor first impression. The Wi-Fi was extremely poor and barely connected throughout our stay. The restaurant was completely closed, so we had to go outside the property whenever we wanted food. There were also no clear instructions about the hotel's policies or amenities. Because of this, we were unexpectedly charged for water bottles we requested to our room, even though the hotel provides 1 liter of complimentary water per room per day. Better communication would have avoided this confusion. The biggest disappointment was the swimming pool. It was dirty, had a strong unpleasant smell, with visible algae and mosquitoes around it. After getting into the pool, I developed a skin rash, which was very concerning. The property itself has a lot of potential and looks beautiful, but it is clearly not being maintained well. With better maintenance, clearer communication, and improved guest services, it could offer a much better experience."

"I have stayed in hundreds of hotels worldwide – from budget hostels to 5-star resorts – and I have never experienced anything this bad. What happened at Paper Moon Kudils is not just “poor service” – it’s a case study in how to destroy guest trust. We booked two bungalows for my family: two small children, an elderly relative, and myself. From the moment we opened the door, it was obvious: We were not in a hotel. We were in a health hazard. This is what we walked into: Mouse droppings across the floor, furniture, and even close to the beds where my children would sleep Dirty, stained bedding – clearly used and never replaced Filthy, wet floor mats with a smell that turned my stomach No mosquito nets, despite being clearly promised in the booking No toiletries whatsoever – not even soap to wash our hands A rooftop terrace that was closed, crumbling, and unsafe to enter Everywhere you looked, it felt abandoned for months, left to decay while still taking money from guests under false advertising. The beautiful online photos? Pure fiction. What you see there does not exist here. Because of our children, we couldn’t leave instantly – but we checked out after just one night. Staying longer would have been irresponsible. We reported everything to Agoda, who repeatedly tried to contact the property. They never replied. No apology. No explanation. No accountability. Weeks later, the only “solution” was a 15% refund for one bungalow – a number so ridiculous it almost felt like mockery. As a German medical specialist and frequent global traveller, I understand both health standards and honesty in service. This property fails at both. It is not just below standard – it is dangerous and deliberately misrepresented. We have photo and video evidence of every detail. Believe me: The pictures speak for themselves – and they tell a story of neglect, deception, and contempt for paying guests. If you value your health, your safety, and your money: Avoid Paper Moon Kudils at all costs. Frankly, this place should be removed from all booking platforms and inspected by health authorities."

"Although it is just outside Arugam Bay, this is a little piece of paradise. The staff are incredibly friendly, the food delicious and the chef allows flexibility of choice. Although there is a pool, the ocean is a stonethrow away and the swimming, body boarding and surfing was amazing. The rooms were beautiful with a lovely outside shower. To get to Arugam Bay is a short tuk-tuk away and the hotel arranges and we had a father and son (Laferr and James) who not only took us but gave their what's app details so we felt confident and safe for all the journeys, at any time, and a known fixed price. The reason this a 4 * not a 5* was that certain expectations (room cleaned, bottled water provided daily) had to be requested and, unfortunately, following a local power cut, the internet was down and the pool generator failed, but these were fixed within 48hours."

"Pretty boutique hotel in east coast. We've stayed 2 nights in the Garden Bungalow with plunge pool, rooms are nice and chill. The hotel situated in a village facing the ocean, where the surroundings are very rural and quite. Feb is not a busy season there, no disturb at all, and get the chance for stargaze in the night. 20min drive to Arugambay Town, as we go for self drive so no probs at all. Food is fairly ok since we only had breakfast. Did our Kumana National Park Safari during our stay. Didn't spend much time for beach though."

"I stayed at Wild Edge Panama Kumana Safari Lodge for four nights in July 2026 and had a wonderful time. It’s set in a quiet rural area in Panama within a 40 minute drive to the entrance to Kumana National Park. The rooms are very clean with comfortable double bed and mosquito netting, aircon and fan and plenty of storage and plug sockets. There is a terrace to each bedroom with outdoor seating. The en suite bathroom had an excellent shower and all the modern amenities and plumbing and toiletries. There is a stylish main entrance/reception and communal dining area and the lodge is surrounded by small ponds/water features. The beach is a short walk over the sand dunes and is clean and quiet. The local bird life is excellent. There is fast wi-fi throughout the property. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Samitha and his wife own the lodge and live adjacent and were kind and generous hosts. Samitha is an expert wildlife photographer/videographer and I had the privilege of several all day safaris in Kumana National Park with him. He is extremely knowledgable and has a real passion for the flora and fauna. I would not hesitate to recommend this lodge and hope to return again."

"Myself and my partner had the best stay at De Pearla resort. Farah the host was the best. He cooked us the most amazing meals, helped us with anything we needed assistance with and made our trip so special. He even showed us how to cook biriyani! My girlfriend became ill with a fever on one of the days and Farah went above and beyond to make sure that we were all ok and looked after. It really felt like we became part of the family. His son was also very helpful and kind to us. De Perla is a tranquil slice of Paradise that felt like a home away from home. It was always so amazing to come back to after a long day surfing and the craziness of Arugam Bay. We hope that we come back here again one day. Thank you Farah. We hope we meet again!"

"Had a great and very relaxing week here. The cabanas are comfortable and stylish, all with great sea views. The beach is stunning and empty. Niaz and his team were very attentive and did everything to make us feel welcome. The grounds are constantly maintained and kept immaculate. The small restaurant served up great food, and always with a smile. Special mention to Rinos the chef and Bari here for their good service and friendly manner, the same goes for the rest of the staff. This is a place to come and relax, away from the hustle and bustle of Arugam Bay. Highly recommended. "

"I stayed 3 nights at Paper Moon Kudils, and it was a wonderful beach escape. The cabanas are clean, cozy, and just a few steps from Whisky Point Beach perfect for sunrise views and relaxing vibes. The staff were very friendly and helped arrange a boat safari at Pottuvil Lagoon, which was an unforgettable experience with crocodiles, elephants, and beautiful birds. "We had an incredible stay at Wild Edge Panama safari lodge. We were very fortunate to have the owner Samitha, a wildlife biologist and filmmaker be our naturalist guide during our two-day safari. The lodge is in a lovely setting just behind the dunes. The rooms are basic and very comfortable, good bathrooms, good bed and very clean. Nice outdoor seating. The food was incredible. We booked full board and had an amazing sit down lunch brought out to the national park for us. Sam, Kanishka, Madhusan, the cooks and the team at Wild Edge took very good care of us. We have such special memories of our time there. Truly an unforgettable stay."
