The hotel service was excellent; they stored my big luggage for 4 days, which was a huge help. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for a total of 10 days and took a trip to Weizhou Island – truly the best of both wellness and travel."

Jiajia, one of the staff members, was particularly attentive and offered great travel advice. The hotel even gave us some local Beihai specialties as a gift. The only downside is that the hotel might be a bit old, as many of the facilities are dated. This is especially true for the hairdryer, which is inconveniently placed on the desk instead of in the bathroom and lacks power. I'd recommend an upgrade."

"This trip took me from south to north and back again, a complete loop, and I stayed at Hilton hotels the whole time. I have to say, the one in Beihai was the worst. Elevator: After parking on the basement level, you have to take a freight elevator to get to the lobby. Breakfast: When I went down at 8:30, many dishes were already empty, and the staff didn't refill them. Plus, the selection was very limited."

"I stayed at a hotel that cost over 4000 yuan per night for three consecutive days. The breakfast consisted of only five different items, repeated every day, and on the last day, even those five items weren't guaranteed. The bathroom drainage had problems, and despite reporting it to the front desk, it wasn't addressed promptly. The hotel staff were poorly trained; I saw a staff member eating leftover food from a guest's room while cleaning the room next door. They advertised a complimentary travel photography session, but it turned out to be taken by a trainee girl who looked to be under 20. In every aspect, it was not worth the 4000 yuan price tag. As a 24-year member of Ctrip, this was definitely the worst value-for-money stay I've ever had."

"The room's cleanliness and service were just okay, and the size was decent. The decor wasn't to my taste, and there were some smart features. I wanted to extend my stay for two more nights in the same room, but the hotel refused, which felt very inflexible and inconvenient, forcing me to switch rooms midway through my stay. The hotel is located halfway up Guantouling, and the roads going to and from it were extremely congested. Breakfast wasn't very good, and the pool's hygiene was concerning; there were many floating objects, and even worse, live, wiggling worms, which scared my family and me away immediately. Additionally, Guantouling beach really isn't worth a special trip; the beach area is tiny, incredibly crowded, and the scenery is nothing special."

The room was spacious and clean, the bedding comfortable, and we received welcome fruit upon arrival – thoughtful touches indeed. Special shout-out to Amy at the front desk! She made check-in efficient and smooth, and proactively shared information about island tours, sunset spots, and the hotel shuttle schedule. When we asked about getting to the island, car rental, and clam digging, Amy patiently and thoroughly answered all our questions with a gentle and professional attitude. She was always ready to help and even kindly reminded us about important travel tips for the island. Any small requests were promptly addressed, making us feel genuinely cared for. The hotel also offers pier transfer services, making travel hassle-free, and the breakfast selection was extensive. The overall vacation vibe was relaxed and comfortable. It's a highly recommended resort on Weizhou Island, and we'd choose Dhawa Beihai Weizhou Island again on our next visit. A big thank you once more to Amy for her attentive service!"
