"This hotel lies very well situated in Corte. We booked a 20m2 comfort room but got a smaller sized room. This room was musty smelling, extremely noisy, had loose toilet seat, loose sink, sticky floor in the bathroom and the shower head was not cleaned. The staff was friendly and accomodating and moved us to another room for our second night which was much nicer (but still had some disrepair). Breakfast was OK. Probably still one of the best options in Corte but the manager should invest in maintainance."

"Great option on the outskirts of town with parking onsite and walkable to the old town. We got a room without balcony or view which was fine as there are stunning views from anywhere in Corte including the hotel terrace and pool. Aircon worked great and the room seemed newly renovated and in good condition. Bathroom had a great rain shower and the room had a safe, fridge and kettle with tea and coffee. It was excellent value at €104 without breakfast."

Les Jardins de La Glacière ★★★

"Quite far out, a long uphill walk from the train station, mostly without pavements and unlit. Lovely pool and outside area, great to access swimming in the stream in the valley. Breakfast was okay but you need to argue if you book with it included in the rate as we did (they tried to charge us). The staff were unfriendly, they left at 8pm, everything closed at that time, the only way of getting food or drink after that was a vending machine but that was broken. Basic rooms with uncomfortable beds, shower took forever to get warm. The next closest hotel (Auberge) has a fantastic restaurant and was very close, but they are closed on Mondays so it was a half hour walk each way to town for food/drink. No taxis seem to be available."
