For us it was a getaway with buddies to unwind and enjoy serenity in the midst of a forest, which we did to the maximum. For those who love & value nature, this is a "hidden gem" !! The attractions or our heritages such as the majestic, Sigiriya is a short drive and so are the mature reserves that include the famous Minneriya Nature Reserve, where elephants can be observed in their natural habitat. When we left Amaara Forest, after a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast at their famous "Tree Tops" which is built halfway up a tree on a sturdy platform, we were serenaded by a flutist as well. We soaked in the peace and the sounds of nature with gratitude for having stayed in a wonderous place. We left with the promise of returning for a similar experience in the neat future. "I was invited by a friend to carryout a professional bird trail in Pinthaliya Resort just a couple of days ago. Since the trail going to occupy full day and night i thought of reserving one of the rooms duration of my stay. As i entered the location of the resort i really really fell in love with it, mainly due to the vegetation in an around the resort. Wow. It is superb with the blowing wind that carrying the fragrance of wilderness. Later i came to know the resort is now handled by a new management with a well experienced manager named Faizal who is so polite and efficient to the clientail that patronise the resort. His hospitality experience is par excellence. Also i do not know the architect of the compound and its looks like he is a wildlife enthusiast by looking at the structures built in the midst of tbe vegetation with least damage to any of the unmoved lives which gives us shelter always. Ths rooms are very clean. There are miner issues in some rooms and its no big deal, can be ignored as well. I was so privileged to occupied one room with their busy bookings. The hospitality, room service and the restaurant service i say its over moon. Food is superb, especial the traditional local cousins. Actually i would have reserved a camp from its camping site, unfortunately it is under renovation. Surely, next time i visit most certainly will reserve one of the camps csuse It is so reserved and little away from the main structures as well. This place is AMAZING. I whole heartedly recommend Pinthaliya Resort to anyone who loves nature and wilderness visiting Habarana."

"It was such a wonderful hotel that I would like to stay there again. The grounds were spacious, with cottages surrounded by greenery, and there were monkeys and birds. It's along the lake, so the scenery is beautiful. The bathtub valve was broken so the hot water ran out quickly, the food took a long time to arrive, and there was not much variety in breakfast, but they prepared lunch boxes for us early in the morning when we asked, which was very helpful, and the staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were very kind. "I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Sigiriya Kingdom Resort. I made a confirmed booking at an agreed rate, but later—especially in the middle of the night—the hotel attempted to change the price. This is unacceptable and feels highly unprofessional. A confirmed booking should be honored, not altered under pressure. What made the situation worse was the lack of proper customer support. When I raised the issue, no clear explanation or reasonable solution was provided. Instead, my time was wasted with poor communication and no accountability from the staff. This kind of behavior damages trust and creates a very negative experience for guests. Transparency and honesty are basic expectations in hospitality, and unfortunately, this hotel failed in both. I strongly urge future guests to double-check all booking details and be cautious. I also hope the management takes this seriously and improves their customer service and ethical standards. And I'm traveling from almost 400 km away from their destination. Thats how they treated me. Disappointed and unacceptable"
