"The hotel is very new, and you can smell the decoration as soon as you enter the door. The front desk is very enthusiastic, which is the only enthusiastic service I encountered. The room is not big, but clean. The breakfast is the most unsatisfactory, there are few varieties, and you have to bake the muffins yourself. There are not many breads, and the milk is gone and not added. The coffee is very light and not tasty. I booked it very early, but the price is one thousand more expensive, which is a bit depressing. It is only worth 1500 yuan. Don't stay if it's over 2000 yuan."

Residence Inn Eugene Springfield

"Sorry Marriott, this one needs your attention. As Bonvoy members we stay in Residence Inns all the time and almost always have a good experience. Won't stay at the Eugene property again because: 1) They charged $75 pet fee.....more than we've ever paid anywhere, 2) They charge $10 for parking while they have a huge parking area that wasn't even full, 3) The breakfast was sad & tired to say the LEAST. At 9am there was 1 little yogurt left, stale breads, bad scrambled eggs, etc. We walked out and found a coffee shop (Farmers Union - excellent!), 4) The fridge in our room had not been cleaned out. There was still old food in it from the previous guest. This hotel badly needs a refresh/update. The one positive: the staff was friendly."

"My go-to when I'm in Eugene. This time I got a room in the carriage house which was a little different. No complaints whatsoever, and it happens to be practically across the street from the best sushi in town."

"Beautiful hotel, right downtown, with truly exceptional service and delicious breakfast. I arrived very late after a long travel day, and accidentally left my key in the door, which could be dangerous in the city's downtown as a solo traveler. The hotel does hourly rounds, found my key quickly, and had it at the front desk for me first thing the next morning. The room was immaculate and newly remodeled with really nice details such as custom tile. The breakfast tasted home-cooked with eggs, bacon, and even fresh donuts. The only (minimal) downside was that I did not find a hair dryer in the room. I'll gladly stay here again the next time I'm in Eugene!"
