"We travelled to Surville as an end destination based just on reviews we’d read here. Even though the reviews were great, it exceeded expectations. It’s hard to describe just how warmly welcoming the proprietors, Camille, Hugues and their delightful children were. It really did feel like staying with friends. The hotel is set in beautiful, thoughtfully laid out grounds. We swam in the warm pool, played badminton, cycled and just enjoyed picnicking in the wild flower meadow. The hosts lent us bikes for some wonderful rural bike rides between medieval villages. The restaurant was central to the experience and we enjoyed high quality, thoughtful cooking. Indeed, my daughter commented that she’d never had such posh food and so many courses! The rooms were simple, immaculate and very comfortable. Everything is of such a high standard and so thoughtful. We will definitely come back as soon as we can!"

"Beautiful place to stay - fabulous design and decor has transformed a very old building into a lovely bed and breakfast. The owner Tina is super friendly and helpful and is fluent in several languages. We had the family suite which was very spacious, and enjoyed the breakfast as well."

"Absolutely charming / private hotel experience on the owner's property -- which comes complete with a mini-farm (most of the animals except the horses are rescues -- the horses are the owners' retired animals), on-site/nearby parking, and probably the best breakfast we had while in France. VERY near to Giverny and the Monet Gardens as well as to Vernon (restaurants, bike tours, etc.). The house and outlying buildings seem perfectly suited to on-site weddings (one of the outbuildings looks like it could seat enough for the wedding itself) and in fact the local Lions Club had an outdoor dinner while we were there -- very elegant and thoughtfully appointed. Would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for accommodations near the local tourist attractions or seeking a place outside of Paris that is close to nature and away from the summer crowds."

"My wife and I were delighted to stay here during our Seine cycle trip. The location is ideal... on the Seine with a relaxing garden next to it and a rooftop sitting area for an even better view. The rooms overlooking the river are a must. They are recently updated and very comfortable. We loved our dinner and breakfast. The dinner was one of our better meals on our two week trip. We generally like to explore the area, but this hotel invites you to settle in and relax and enjoy every minute of the stay. As a bonus, the hotel offers indoor bicycle storage with racks, pumps and electrical outlets. A perfect stay for us!"
