JJayjeejayThe hotel is very professional, nice and clean. The staff is all attentive. The location is just a couple minutes from metro and 5 mins from hip area, Zhongshan, and in walkable distance from the famous night market. Will definitely be back when going to Taipei again.

PPengguna Tetamu1. Misleading Entrance Signage
Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable.
2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance
When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside?
3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior
After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues.
As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight.
We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of:
- Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance
- Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival
- Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior
We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future.

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel automatically upgraded us to a significantly more spacious room during check-in which was a nice gesture. The room was spotless and while Taiwan law does not allow hotels to proactively provide single-use toiletries, shampoo and shower gel are still provided through dispenser bottles. The hotel also has a water dispenser so guests do not have to worry about buying bottled water everyday from convenience stores. Without having to request for it, hotel staff automatically changed the pillowcase when they saw that it was soiled which showed their meticulousness when cleaning the room.
In terms of location, the hotel is within a mixed-used building just outside exit Z2 of the Taipei Main Station so it was very convenient to get around and explore the city. While some reviews complained about the long waiting time for elevators, I found that it was generally acceptable. There were two elevators at the front lobby that served all levels of the building and more elevators at the back of the building serving specific levels.
At this price point, the only drawback was the shower head in the toilet. Due to the small size of the shower area, you would be standing very close to the shower head. The shower head holder is non-adjustable and angled almost horizontally forward rather than downwards. This meant that when you turned on the shower, the water would be directed at your face and head and it would be difficult to direct the water at anything below the neck level. As such, most guests would have to resort to holding the shower head in their hands rather than enjoying a hands-free relaxing experience, which I guess was a small compromise to make.
Overall, I enjoyed my short stay at this hotel.

MMJ FERNThe location is super convenient—just a short walk from Taipei Main Station, which made getting around the city and to the airport so easy. I always felt safe even when coming back a bit late, which is a huge plus when you’re traveling alone.
The place itself is clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The rooms are simple but comfortable, and the common areas are nice if you want to relax or meet other travelers. What stood out the most was how accommodating and friendly the staff were—they’re always ready to help with directions, recommendations, or anything you need.
As a female solo traveler, safety and comfort are everything, and Main Inn definitely delivered. It has a welcoming vibe that makes you feel at home while still being budget-friendly.
Highly recommend this place if you’re planning a solo trip to Taipei 💛

Sebabnya biliknya luas, bersih dan comel! Suasana industri menjadikannya sesuai untuk foto.
Selain itu, lobi dan ruang istirahat sangat comel!
Ia juga bagus bahawa terdapat sebuah bar di hotel (saya mahu pergi lain kali)
Perkhidmatan di kaunter penerimaan tetamu juga baik dan mereka meninggalkan bagasi saya untuk saya, tetapi kawasan itu dipisahkan oleh tali dan hanya kakitangan di sana supaya ia selamat.
Mereka juga menyediakan seterika dan kakitangannya sangat ramah.
Walaupun harganya rendah, ia didatangkan dengan bufet sarapan pagi yang mewah dan lazat! Nampaknya ia memerlukan tambahan 2,500 yen untuk menambahnya di Jepun.
Ia juga mudah untuk Rich kerana hanya kira-kira 5 minit perjalanan Uber ke Stesen Taipei.

Merokok tersedia di kawasan antara bangunan hotel ini dan Mitsukoshi. Terdapat Family Mart di tingkat satu dan kedai khemah di hadapan bangunan. Saya membeli beberapa buah Shakazu dan kesemak kering di kedai buah-buahan dan memakannya!

Ia sepatutnya sangat bagus (cadar yang selesa dan bersih, peti sejuk, TV, Wi-Fi, bilik mandi peribadi). Bilik ini menunjukkan usianya, terutamanya cat (banyak tanda/calar, dll.) dan beberapa tompokan lembap di bilik mandi. Terdapat bunyi bising yang berterusan dari saluran pengudaraan atau penghawa dingin di siling, cukup kuat untuk mengganggu tidur. Dan akhirnya, terdapat bau yang mengerikan di dalam bilik... campuran hapak, kelembapan, dan kulat, atau sesuatu seperti itu. Walaupun pengudaraan bilik mandi dan penghawa dingin dalam mod penyahlembapan, bau itu tidak akan hilang. Sudah tentu, sebaik sahaja anda berada di dalam bilik, anda akhirnya berhenti menghidunya, tetapi sebaik sahaja anda keluar, anda membawanya bersama anda... ia meresap ke semua pakaian saya, jadi saya membasuh semuanya selepas saya keluar, walaupun yang bersih... ia benar-benar tidak menyenangkan. Sayang sekali kerana dengan masalah ini diselesaikan dan lapisan cat yang baru, bilik itu akan menjadi hebat.
