Overall, the property has a pleasant concept, and the surrounding greenery creates a very nice jungle‑resort, exotic atmosphere. The natural environment is well‑designed and enjoyable but my 2 nights stay came with several issues that future guests may want to be aware of. Considering the price, there are much better options in the area that offer a more comfortable experience and better facilities. 1. Privacy & Layout The architectural layout offers very limited privacy. From the balcony, neighboring rooms are directly visible, which made it difficult to use the outdoor space comfortably. 2. Cleanliness & Hygiene Some areas of the room were not thoroughly cleaned. The built‑in storage under the bed had visible dust and dirt, making it unsuitable for storing clean clothes.In the shower area, the pebble‑style floor creates many hard‑to‑clean corners. Before I even used the shower, I noticed hair and even ***** hair trapped between the stones. During showering, water drained extremely slowly, causing the floor to flood and submerge above my feet under standing water. This design makes the area prone to bacteria buildup and was uncomfortable to use, especially for female guests during sensitive times. 3. Bathroom Fixtures The handheld bidet spray had extremely strong pressure and ice‑cold water, which made it uncomfortable to use—especially for women during sensitive days. 4. Safety & Property Layout The property’s terrain is quite complex, with multiple staircases and uneven levels. At night, many areas are poorly lit, which can be unsafe if guests are not watching their step. Some decorative reflective pieces hanging from trees also create a rather unsettling atmosphere after dark.The corridor near my room remained unlit at night, making the area feel dim and uncomfortable. Additionally, during rainy weather, several outdoor areas accumulated water, making certain paths slippery and less safe to walk through. 5. Room FacilitiesvThe room does not have a wardrobe or proper clothing hangers. The only hanging option is a decorative tree‑branch style rack, which is suitable for small items but not for clothing. As a result, clothes can only be placed on the balcony, where humidity and rain make it difficult to keep them dry.vThere is also no bedside lamp or reading light, which makes the room not work‑friendly.vAdditionally, there is no luggage rack or storage space, so suitcases must be kept on the floor throughout the stay. 6. Condition of FacilitiesvMany parts of the property appear worn down and in need of maintenance. In the dining area, several corners and edges show visible deterioration, and I noticed areas with water leakage. Overall, the facilities feel quite aged and could benefit from repairs and updates. 7. Service & CommunicationvThere is no phone in the room, and front desk service ends around 10 PM. Even after I added the property’s contact information, my door was still knocked on at night despite having a “Do Not Disturb” sign displayed. Complimentary water was provided, but only when requested; it was not proactively replenished. 8. Deposit & BreakfastvThe property requires a cash deposit upon arrival, which feels unusual considering the age and condition of the facilities. Breakfast was provided, but the quality was noticeably lower compared to other homestays in the area. 9. Additional Safety ConcernsvI found a sharp, hard plastic piece in a dish I ordered. I pulled it out from my mouth, and I almost swallowed it. The meal was remade, but the original dish was not waived.vThe bathroom door lock also malfunctioned once. There were also quite a few jumping spiders in the room due to the environment, likely because regular insect control is not performed. I requested insect spray from the front desk, and they did respond quickly and helped resolve it.

The room was clean and spacious, and the hotel was also like a gallery. It's near Nimman Road, and there's a market and convenience store right next door, which is super handy. But, it's on a flight path, so you'll hear planes all day and night.

It’s lovely to have a fully vegan resort. The property was very clean, the food was excellent, and I absolutely loved the breakfast. The breakfast buffet chef is fantastic, as is the chef at Moreganic, the main restaurant. I genuinely enjoyed all the food and loved feeling safe knowing everything was vegan. What could have been better was the overall hospitality vibe. Many of the staff we interacted with felt quite disinterested and not particularly warm or welcoming. There were some standouts – Orn, Kham, and another staff member who was always smiling (I didn’t catch his name) – but most others felt lacklustre. On several occasions we went downstairs and were not greeted at all, even though staff were sitting at the desk. There was also background music on repeat – a very short piano loop (around 15 seconds) that played continuously from around 6am until night in the breakfast and common areas. It became quite overwhelming over time and is unfortunately very memorable. The room itself was lovely and very clean, however housekeeping was inconsistent on two days of our six-night stay. One day, when we had the eco card on the bed (meaning no fresh sheets), the beds weren’t made at all. Another day, my kids’ beds were only half-done with a quick fold at the end. Generally housekeeping was good otherwise. Different housekeepers rotating I think. The air conditioning units had visible mould on the flap, which I wiped off myself. This raised concerns about whether there may also be mould inside the unit. There was a slightly musty smell in my room (we had two rooms). Luckily, as it was winter, we mostly used the fan, but this does need addressing. English proficiency among staff was quite limited overall. Orn was great, but in general communication was difficult. I noticed this at another hotel in Chiang Mai as well, so it may not be specific to this resort. On the positive side: the small gym was excellent and open 24 hours, with clean air conditioning. The bathroom had a great toilet bottom-wash-hose with good pressure, clean towels and sheets, bathrobes, a chain lock on the door for extra security, and a filtered water station. Would we stay again? Probably not. The main reason we chose this resort was the vibe – friendliness and feeling taken care of – but it felt more like a serviced apartment where you provide your own hospitality, apart from the restaurants and generally good (but inconsistent) housekeeping. That said, it is aesthetically beautiful, and being able to eat anything without concern was a huge plus. It would also be great to have hotel transport available during the day, not just for airport transfers, so guests can move around in a trusted vehicle. The airport pickup could have been more welcoming and smiling and the wai. The food is exceptional. Moreganic is often empty, likely because prices are around 60% higher than local restaurants, but we really enjoyed our meals there, at breakfast, and via room service. The app-based room service worked very well and delivery was fast. I noticed the pool-access rooms and feel they lack privacy, as other pool guests can sit right outside. My jacuzzi jets also didn’t work. I don’t enjoy giving critical feedback, but I didn’t receive a post-stay feedback email, so this felt like the appropriate place to share it. With staff warmth improved, housekeeping consistency tightened, the music changed, and maintenance issues addressed, this would easily be a full-star stay for me. A fully vegan resort is truly special and unique, and the concept is wonderful. We stayed about 26 days after the Queen’s passing, which may have influenced the atmosphere. P.S. There are some lovely temples nearby, including Wat Mahawan, and others just across the road. All are about a three-minute walk from the resort. There’s also a great jewellery store close by called “I Do I Design.”

Walking distance to shopping mall, many money changer around. 100 baht shop is just outside. Near to airport with nice mountain view. Need to improve on breakfast menu. Big room for family. At night can eat and drink at roof top bar.

We stayed here to celebrate my partner’s birthday and our anniversary and the hotel made our trip even more special with a thoughtful room setup. It was such a lovely surprise and meant so much to us❤️ The service from every team member was exceptional. The facilities were excellent, the location was perfect, and everything exceeded our expectations. We’ve visited Chiang Mai many times but this is the first hotel that truly made us want to come back. Thank you for making our stay so memorable!

Stay in Villa Mahabhirom was fantastic from the rooms to the service. We were greeted with smiles and warmth by the staff as we arrived at the villa ....special mention to Driver (his name), He is very informative and speaks clearly , The staff including hotel manager Yaya were so pampering. After the checked in we were surprise with 2 birthday cakes, beautifully decorated with fruits and flowers and presented by all the staff of that day with birthday song .. They were so thoughtful and the gesture really touches us. The villa has the most beautiful garden, very well kept with healthy plants and trees. We were always greeted with smiles and cares as we go in and out of the villa, All the staff are very well trained....good job, Yaya, Driver and Eye. We will definitely come again.

This resort is so green! I enjoy the paradise atmosphere with plants all around me. The staff are so welcoming. This resort has comfortable design and a lovely pool deck. The garden is perfect for morning routines. I am happy to have a room close to the rooftop balcony. The room is clean and the service staff are friendly to help me. The Lush Café is too cute. My favourite place is sitting in the gazebo and listening to the water ambience. Location is accessible Shops nearby for lunch and coffee ** Vegan options for all day dining within walkable distance!! ** Breakfast is delicious with plant based salad bar I’d recommend this stay for travelers with holistic mindset, mindfulness practice and smooth aesthetics. Staff: Mostly friendly and professional, except few. I asked the female staff for early check-in and left my luggage at the designated place. Then, she said, “No, you have to wait until 14:00”. Immediately after her response, the male staff approached me and processed it. He also allowed me to change room without any charge and to store my luggage in the room, instead of the designated area. Room: For those who like 80s-90s vibe, this is for you, and me too. The AC is loud and cleaned. The ceiling, on the other hand, has strains from water. The curtain has a strain that looks like either blood or coffee. The wall looks unpolished, creating a running down impression of the hotel. The socket, TV, lift, and fridge are functional, fortunately. 2 bottles of water are set by the hotel standard. Please clean up those strains and walls. Bathroom: It contains dusts on the ventilation fan’s cover. There is mold strain on the wall that could be mistaken as black mold initially. Please clean up it as it could evolve to such in the future. Location: Not far away from the pubs, so music can get loud inside the room as it has poor soundproof. Unless you don’t mind the sound, or want to stay away from the city centre, go for it.

If you want a room with good price located inside old town then you should consider this place. However there are some pro and con for your information. Pro: reasonable price. Great location. Friendly staffs swimming pool. Con: room should be a bit more clean than that. AC was really loud.
