Pengguna TetamuAs a vintage style hotel, it provides most of your needs. Wish there’s a fridge for long stays. The front desk staff is very friendly. Even though a continental breakfast is served, it hass an upgraded food selections including hot dishes, i.e. scrambled eggs, sausages, etc. I’ll revisit here next in town.

BrendanheyuJust wrapped up a brilliant 4-day stay at citizenM San Francisco and honestly wish I'd booked my entire trip there!
The staff were exceptionally helpful, offering a seamless check-in/out experience and happily holding my luggage for hours both before and after my stay.
Room-wise, it was perfectly sized for a solo traveller like myself and would work well for couples too. While the room itself isn't ideal as a workspace, the hotel offers plenty of shared working areas in the downstairs foyer.
I felt completely secure throughout my stay with staff at the entrance around the clock. The surrounding area was notably better than most parts of San Francisco at the moment.
If you're looking for a well-located, hassle-free hotel experience in SF, citizenM is definitely worth considering!

Very expensive for a B&B. Nice spot in the Castro/ Mission district near Dolores Park. Well-maintained & reasonable management. Lots of stairs to go up into main house lobby — wrought iron gates with intercom to buzz to get entry into property. Try to get a room in the older main house to minimize stairs! No AC. They have limited parking spots behind the two B&B houses (access from Dorland St) for US$35./day plus tax which is a steep price. Make sure u book a parking spot in advance. Beautiful garden courtyard in the back. Sadly we never got to use it. Try to get a room that faces the other “house” or the backyard - quieter. We had a front room Deluxe King Room 36 which looked nothing like the sample room photos (only one Room 24 w courtyard view, sofa, coffee table). We got a smaller room approx 290sf vs what we paid for 32sq.m, 344sf, no closet just small armoire to hang a couple of things, no sofa, no coffee table, no balcony. They were kind enough to give us a refund for the price difference between the Deluxe King we booked & the Standard King we got. Had to ask for them to vacuum room. Found tissue under headboard/bed, dusty. Not the kind of room you would want to spend much time in —teeny tiny TV, faced front noisy street with electric bus passing by. No screens in windows so had to close windows at night to keep critters out. Bed was ok. Pillows were synthetic & lumpy. View was of electric lines & school across the street. Beware some electric outlets. One was burnt out. Breakfast was repetitive but nice to eat in a lovely breakfast room or outdoor deck. Hard-boiled eggs, muesli, fruit, muffins/ carbs, American coffee, juices. Fortunately SPRO café was next door if you need a great cappuccino or chai latté! Didn’t get a chance to enjoy their wine & cheese. Contact them on WhatsApp +1 (415) 297-6891 to discuss rooms available.

Pearly9000Everything was wonderful and perfect until check-out. They asked to swipe my Visa card for a $200 deposit on the first day of check-in, which was completely fine.
However, on the day of check-out, they told me the service fees for 3 nights came to $123.60. They said they would deduct it from my deposit and refund the remaining balance within a few days. I thought that was fine too.
But no — they then charged another $200 to my Visa card without even touching my card again and without my permission. In total, they have charged $400 from my card. I honestly feel like crying because I don’t know what to do.
If they don’t refund my money in the next few days, will Trip help resolve this for me? I have never experienced a situation like this before.
This hotel was excellent in every way, but charging a guest’s card without authorization is truly disappointing and unfortunate. Can someone please tell me how I can get my money back?

This Hotel has great customer service all the way through. It is in a prime location basically a block from Fisherman’s Wharf. The rooms are a little small, the bathroom is as well. They have a vanity outside of the room with the only bathroom switch which I thought was weird. I requested a quiet room and I got exactly that so beggars can’t be choosers. All in all it’s a good hotel especially when you are out and about in the City.

Pengguna TetamuHotel is located near the homeless district. We found it quite surprising how many homeless people there were in the surrounding area. Hotel feels a bit dark. But in general meets a basic level. Clean showers coffee table bed etc..

JesKohStayed at Hotel Epik and while the hotel itself was decent, the location is something you really need to consider carefully.
On the positive side, it’s very convenient—pretty central and easy to get around the city from here. The room was clean, simple, and comfortable enough for a short stay.
However, the surrounding area didn’t feel very safe, especially at night. There were quite a number of homeless individuals around, and the streets could feel uncomfortable and a bit unsettling. Because of this, I honestly wouldn’t recommend this hotel for a girls’ trip or if you’re traveling alone and planning to head out at night.
Overall, it’s okay if you’re on a budget and just need a place to sleep, but safety and comfort outside the hotel might be a concern depending on your travel style.

Pengguna TetamuAll of the staff seemed really nice. From the moment we arrived and had a friendly greeting from the valet parking worker, to the ladies that we interacted with in reception.
The room was nothing special, but by that I mean it had no outstanding features, or any distinguishable traits that would separate it from other hotels
The concierge was friendly and helpful, and was very useful in helping us to plan our activities.
And the hotel is in a good location to get to the pier or do the 'big bus' tour.
But here's the downside. The gym is small, had no steriliser, or wipes, even though one of the rules stated in the gym is to wipe down the equipment after use.
And the overall impression of the gym is that it could do with a really good clean from top to bottom.
Added to that there's the washing machine and tumble dryer located in the gym.
Yes that's right, in the actual gym.
Now we were very happy when we read about the hotel having washing machine facilities, but we were slightly surprised at it's location.
Another thing was the air con. We stayed in September and although the weather for the season was just starting to cool down after the summer, it was still fairly warm.
The air con looked as if it had been fitted in the seventies and made a sound as if it had been running non stop ever since then.
It was so noisy that we had to turn it off completely at night time and at different times during the day.
On a final point we received news regarding the death of my partner's daughter, which meant that we had to cut our whole vacation short including this leg of the trip.
We informed the front desk that we would be checking out one day early.
We were not expecting a refund, for that day, but after being told by the member of staff that the 30 dollar a night 'destination fee' would be waived for the night that we were not going to be there, we later found out that this fee had still been added to the final bill.
We still have no idea what a 'destination fee' is, but to be charged it when we weren't even at the hotel was extra galling.
And what was also strange was the fact they didn't even ask why it was that we had decided to cut our stay short?
Would you not be interested to know whether something was wrong with your customers stay, and to know why they had cut their visit short??
A bit of a poor end to a otherwise 'ok' stay at the hotel.

I had booked a single deluxe room; it was very spacious and I loved how there was hanging space and plenty of drawers. I was there for a week and so it was nice to be able to properly unpack and have my things organised. The room would be comfortable even for two people. The room did not have air conditioning but had a ceiling fan which I actually prefer to aircon; it was July yet the room never became too hot. The window was able to open and there was a screen mesh to prevent bugs entering. I asked for and got a kettle for the room to heat my own water. Stable free Wifi.
There was a shared bathroom thus is was appreciated that was a sink in the bedroom (had toiletries, flannels and towels provided). The shared toilet and shower facilities were always clean and even though I was there a week there was never a time that I had to wait/they were occupied when I wanted to use them. The shower room had a curtain separating the wet and dry areas and there was plenty of hooks to hand items. Everywhere was always clean. It was very quiet except for sometimes being some noise from outside.
There is a small basic kitchen area if you want to prepare some simple dishes ( I never used it), and a laundry where a wash and dry is very reasonably priced.
The hotel is in a very good location and I found it ideal for exploring San Francisco. Powell street BRT is a direct line to the train station, there is a streetcar (F) which goes directly to the piers, and a bus (7) which goes along Fell Street to Golden Gate park and if you went to the end of the line it goes to the other end of Golden Gate Park/coast/beach. I walked to other areas. It is ideal if you plan to go to any concerts, and the International Art Museum of America (free entry) is only a couple of mins walk. There are many eating places in the surrounding streets including a food court with reasonably priced food – included an Ikea restaurant where hotdogs are one dollar.
The hotel felt safe and secure. The front door is always locked and there is a key card to enter the hotel and the rooms. I appreciated that not once did the key card become desensitised. The hotel is in the Mission District and thus the area does have some homeless people around; you would not notice much during the day, though many more during the evening. I am a female travelling solo and I never had any problems with any people in the area and never felt unsafe. Evening during the evening the streets are so busy that you don’t feel vulnerable as there are so many people around. I could see from my bedroom window that through the night large crowds would congregate at the corner opposite the hotel, sometimes could be noisy, and they made lots of rubbish, however, everything was cleaned up and by the next morning there was no trace of it…that is a sign that the area is taken care of.
Staff always friendly and helpful. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would have no hesitation in staying again. There was no false advertising , and the facilities were what I expected based on the description, in fact, when considering the reviews, the hotel was better than I was expecting. If people want comfortable, clean basic accommodation you can’t go wrong with this.
