Great check-in - quick, professional and friendly. Clean, fairly-large, and quiet room, equipped with a larger than usual safe (can handle a 16” laptop), bar-refrigerator, and desk for work. Well-located if you have a car; otherwise, not close to much. No sidewalk until you get to the major street (only 1 minute walk). About 1 mile (1.4 km) from the Metro (subway) - if you time it well, you can catch the free # 360 bus from Montmorency Metro, a 5-minute bus ride to the corner near the hotel. The continental breakfast included various breads, eggs, and cereal. Everything was edible :)

We had a wonderful stay at the Sheraton, so much that we returned within the same month! First off you can’t find a more perfectly located hotel in Laval. The lobby area was recently renovated, with a café section offering coffee and local products. The restaurant was a bit of a disappointment to us, as we tried to visit in the morning and no one seemed to want to serve us. However, the front desk staff was incredibly helpful and nice. We booked the Residential suite, which was on a newly renovated floor. The amenities were spotless, gorgeous room with everything you might need. The shower was fantastic and the bed very comfortable. The kitchenette area had a table, and they provided a high chair for our baby when we requested it. After our awkward experience at the restaurant on our first visit, we ordered room service for breakfast the next time .The price is outrageous for the quality of the food and I would not recommend. The pool area is newly renovated and absolutely gorgeous. There is a hot tub, a dry and a hot sauna, and a perfect heated pool in a relaxing setting. We enjoyed both of our stays and will definitely visit again.

Recently stayed at this hotel - Suport staff were rude, condescending and unwilling to open up common areas for friends and family to converse. They have a full breakfast area that remains locked unless during breakfast hours. They have a common area above the pool which is locked off and the hotel claims it’s do to structural integrity!? Like, *** - so you’re telling me the floor above the pool may collapse? The common space next to the pool is ribboned off. This hotel claims to be family friendly, yet it isn’t. Cleaning staffing were taking videos of kids playing so that front desk staff could harass guests. Everything from No fun in the pool, to no sitting around. Some ppl were tailgating in the parking lot.

Overall this hotel is outdated but seemingly undergoing some minor cosmetic upgrades. We were told upon arrival that we were being upgraded to a ”corporate suite”, like this was a good thing. Upon walking in we realized our room was a conference room with a tiny bedroom attached and the smallest shower I've ever seen (you could not even lift your arms in it)...and it was old, dirty and gross. New carpet had been recently installed in our conference room and the smell was so bad it made your eyes water. I complained and their solution was some sort of machine from the 1970s that they plugged in for two hours and did absolutely nothing. The smell was so bad that when I got home all of my luggage and clothing smelled. In addition to our strange, strange room (which we were told we could not switch), the bedroom TV did not work. They said they would send someone to fix it but no one ever showed. So this meant our only place to hang out was sitting around a conference table in office chairs to watch the other TV. Not really acceptable or comfortable. There was also no functional temperature control within the bedroom itself or a window that opened so it was uncomfortably hot all night. The bed so squeaky you couldn't move a muscle without waking yourself up. The bathroom sink leaked water everywhere when you turned it on. There was not a full length mirrors like normal rooms. The fitness center had no towels, very limited weights and lacked any open floor space or mats. Most of these things alone are minor details that we could have accepted but all together this made for a less than ideal experience and very disappointing and frustrating stay. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Laval for one night, during a short business trip. I essentially made this choice because of the price, since, for this trip, the location what not important. The Hampton Inn brand is part of the Hilton chain and the stays allows collecting Hilton Honors points. The property This hotel is located in the town of Laval, north of Montreal, but far from the large shopping centers, but still in a commercial area where one can find several stores and restaurants. This is a small property. The hotel hall is small, but there is a large room next to it where breakfast is served. The room My room is spacious with a king size bed. A nightstands is placed on each side of the bed and on one of them, there are many power sockets. The ground is covered with a very dusty carpet that needs a clean-up real bad. What stricken me, when I got in to the room, was a strong displeasing odor. The air is very dry and you can smell dust in the air. I would go as far saying the environment is unhealthy and hard to breathe. There is a small work desk with a wheeled chair. There is only one power socket available on that desk. A coffee machine with pouches is available, but placed in the bathroom, which is unusual. An iron and its board are also available. There is no other equipment provided in this room, no fridge, no microwave oven. The closet is closed. HDMI and USB plugs are accessible behind the TV. The bed sheeting is worn out, but the bed is very comfortable and gave me an excellent night of sleep, if it wasn’t for the air quality in the room. The bathroom The bathroom is not very spacious. The counter area around the sink is sufficient. Everything is clean. The shower is in the bath. Services The personnel at the reception desk were cold and not friendly. At my arrival, the registering process was long and complicated. There were documents to sign and they took photocopies of my proof of ID. Breakfast was included in the room fare and served in a large room by the entrance hall. Free coffee was available all day. A little counter near the reception desk offered a small variety of snacks and cold beverages. The hotel has an interior pool and a large well equipped gym. Internet access (Wi-Fi) is free and works well. An exterior parking is available and is free. The devil is in the details: - Worn out sheeting. - Vitiated air in the room: dry and dusty. Suffocating. - Very dusty carpet. - Staff not friendly at front desk. Pros - Good price. - Free coffee all day. Cons - Room not well equipped, no fridge.
