"We are in room 440A and B it said 2 kings on the booking however the bed in A is definitely a queen and was a very hard bed with no topper the bed in B was much nicer to sleep on. I asked for a quiet room and wasn’t too bad however if your noise sensitive there is a bar across the road and you are close to the road and the windows are not double glazed so lots of coins gets through. The place feels like it needs a bit of TLC with some block out curtains for an Oaks brand I expected a lot more. Each room only had sheets and the duvets there are no other blankets so was hard to get termperature right as the kids and I found the duvet too hot and the sheets alone to cold"

"We were family of three travelling by train and looking for a reasonably priced and well located two night stopover in Mackay. This motel fitted the requirements perfectly. Not fancy but perfectly adequate for our needs. Owner was very accomodating of request for late checkout due to a later flight out. Close to mall, riverwalk, town centre and swimming lagoon."

"Motel is centrally located within easy walking distance to several dining options. Room was spotlessly clean. Probably the cleanest room I have ever stayed in. If I had one criticism it would be bathroom was a little small but not a deal breaker. Reasonably priced. Parking on sight, love their key locks. They send you a code to put in to the touchpad on your door, no looking for keys. Would I stay again. Definitely."

"The reception was closed since it was Sunday, but there were no problems with check-in. The room was clean and nice. There was ample parking space, and the staff were kind during check-out. It was a shame that I didn't have time to use the swimming pool."

"A very clean room and nicely presented but... 1. Large amounts of pigeon poo streaked down the very large bedroom window which looked pretty disgusting so I kept the curtain shut... 2. If you stay on a Saturday night, you WON'T sleep as there are teenagers causing havoc in the street below (shouting loudly and swearing and drinking) in the middle of the night... 3. Possibly an honest oversight but there was no washing up detergent or dishwasher tablets and as the office is unattended between 6pm and 9am, I couldn't get this rectified (I left for my work activities before 9 and arrived home late in the evening)"
