"I've come back to the Eiger Hotel this year 20 years after my last time. I had wonderful memories from the past and am happy to report that this most recent stay has been even better. The hotel has great facilities (indoor swimming pool, sauna, a small gym, massage and relaxing areas), very nice rooms (I've stayed in a junior suite, very ample and well equipped) and the restaurant service is excellent. Great buffet breakfast and 4-course dinner. The staff is very friendly and makes its best effort to make the guests experience memorable. The facility combines tradition with the more recent technologies. I will definitely come back."

"The value for money was poor, the worst hotel I've stayed in during my entire trip. The standard room, costing over 2,257 yuan, wasn't located on the second floor with the hotel sign I'd seen online, but in a small, log cabin-style building at the back. The hallway was dark and narrow, with no lights on until you reached the door, supposedly to save energy. The lock on the first-floor door wasn't working, allowing entry without a card. Fortunately, the lock on the room door was working. The room was small, lacking bedside tables or tissues. The breakfast also didn't compare to comparable hotels in the same location and price range. The good thing was that there was a supermarket across the street, and it was close to the cable car station."

The hotel admitted that some floors had poor signals, but only explained but did not make any compensation, which is ridiculous. I also want to remind everyone that the pose machine is very bad, and domestic credit cards without chips cannot be used"

"This hotel is perfect for a group or family for a couple of nights. The building itself is beautiful and charming, as many of the other reviews state. The hotel and amenities are basic, with simple rooms and spartan restaurant / breakfast buffet. We used the shared bathroom and shower on our floor; very clean and well looked after. In fact it's all that we needed. The hotel is loud in the evenings as groups return from their daily adventures; disposable ear plugs are provided for this inevitability. The location is ideally situated in the middle of town and centred between the gondolas and the train station."

The hotel's exterior doesn't quite fit in with the town of Murren, but the lobby overlooks a row of snow-capped mountains, and the same scenery is breathtaking from the room window. The restaurant's dinner was decent, but the breakfast was unremarkable. The room amenities were acceptable, but the water temperature was inconsistent and difficult to adjust."
