"Had a really pleasant stay at Su Xuan in Datong. The location was excellent — right inside the Ancient City, making it very easy to walk around and explore the beautiful streets, temples, and night atmosphere.
The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with all the right amenities. Everything felt very well maintained and relaxing after long sightseeing days.
What stood out the most was the hospitality of the hotel staff. They were extremely welcoming, patient, and helpful throughout our stay. They even arranged pickup for us from the train station and kindly gave us an early check-in.
They also helped us arrange a driver for our next day visits to the Hanging Temple and Yungang Grottoes, making the trip much smoother and stress-free.
Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend Su Xuan to anyone visiting Datong."

"- The location is a bit far from the ancient city. However, they have a pickup service to the train station.
- The room is big and very illuminated. The bed lining was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The floor has many stains, and looks old.
- There is no separation in the bathroom of the shower from the toilet bowl, and no carpet...
- The cleaning was questionable: there were many hairs in the bathroom!
- The staff is great, they don't speak English, but they do their best to help you with what you need."

The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Even though we stayed for a night only, they helped to carry our luggage up, escorted us to our car and personally brought us to the Main Street to explain to us how to explore.
The breakfast was also very simple and clean with veggies eggs and noodles which I appreciated after many oily meals in China.
Highlight? The themed hotel design that brings you back to the dynasty era! The hotel facilities were superb too with 小度 and heater. We felt warm even when outside is negative!

"An absolute gem of a boutique hotel in the Datong old town. The room I had was stunningly beautiful, and the services was top-rated. Everyone was so kind and accommodating: there was no breakfast menu as they offered to cook whatever I’d like to eat 😄. The free mini bar was pretty well-stocked with refreshing seabuckthorn juice and plum juice, amongst others, in addition to fresh fruits and a range of delicious local snacks in the room. There was also complimentary freshly-brewed coffee and herbal tea provided in the cozy reception area. I had a great time staying there and will certainly return next time I visit Datong again."

"the place was quite convenient. obviously for the price you’re paying u cant expect luxury but its really value for money. the place itself is comfortable the only bad thing is that the air con is not very cold. the projector is working fine tho. Maybe this place is more suitable for winter as they have many windows so it will feel much cooler during the winter but apart from the air conditioning, the place is really decent"

"雲端酒店，大同之旅的温馨驛站
剛從大同遊玩歸來，雲端小築酒店給我留下了超棒的印象！它位置超優越，就在北城門處魁星樓西側，出行便利，還有寬敞的停車場，自駕遊的我毫無後顧之憂。
走進酒店，環境優雅宜人，客房舒適整潔，裝修風格簡約又不失格調，感覺至少有三、四星級的水準。前台服務人員熱情周到，從入住到退房，每一個細節都處理得十分貼心，讓人有賓至如歸之感。
最讓我驚喜的是酒店提供的茶飲，正山小種紅茶香氣馥郁、口感醇厚。我不過隨口誇讚了幾句，工作人員竟大方地多給了我好多。
這次入住雲端小築酒店，讓我在大同的旅途更加完美。無論是環境、服務還是細節，都無可挑剔。以後再來大同，我還會選擇這裏！

"過年期間去大同旅遊去之前呢，選了好幾個酒店，收藏了好多個，包括什麼大同最好的呀，還有大同的嗯，市政府旁邊的，還有什麼商務那種酒店，最後陰差陽錯點到了這家店，從它的外觀看我覺得挺有意思哦，不過發現這個酒店的角度就在華嚴寺的側邊，而且從2樓咖啡的位置上是可以看到華嚴寺的那個地宮樓的。果斷下單，價格不貴嗯，可能過年期間有提升，但是還是能接受800多吧。住了一晚，第2天本來想走就要開車了，去看了個懸空寺又回來了，在想訂酒店，訂不到位置了這家店才知道超級火爆，而且老闆娘是一個寶藏人才經常一些茶點，小小的閣樓還有兩層，很有特色。雖然沒有五星級酒店的那種頂奢的享受。但是出來以後就能看到華嚴寺，還可以旁邊吃百年孫記，離鳳臨閣超級近，反正我覺得就特別好，還有一些美好的回憶。我把美好的回憶都放在那兒了，它一直在那裡。對了，停車老闆娘還幫我停好，然後她主動報給我報銷了車費、停車費。等下我還想重温那些回憶的時候，我就再去趟大同，那時候就還住這個酒店，就能看到美好回憶了。 誰知回憶裏的過客，成為了記憶中的常客。

涵雲・下午茶:下午茶是什麼？我也沒吃上，不過看着他們弄的那個很好吃，我一個男的不是很在意這些東西，現在想想一定要瘋狂的去記錄生活，這樣我們才有來過的樣子，有一天不在了或消失遠去的時候，還是可以找到當時的樣子，看到文字可以想到當時的心情。"

Pengguna TetamuIve just left the Inn and on the train to the next destination. I wish I could stay longer as this was such a pleasant stay. The boss lady was so nice. I booked just a basic room but got upgraded to almost a studio flat with separate bedroom in the mezzanine and lounge downstairs. Everytime I come back from sightseeing, all hot tired, the boss lady gave me a bowl of delicious melons. It was sweet and juicy. The best melons I have had. The second time she also gave me bananas. It was so much needed.
The hotel is in the perfect location. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
1. From Datongnan station there are buses 608 or 61 which takes you directly to Huayansi stop, less than 1min from the hotel. However, the hotel frontage is a jewelry shop, I didn't know so ended up walking up/down the street for 10mins before the boss lady realised and came out to tell me I have arrived.
2. If you want to go to Yungang Grottoes. From the same bus stop take bus 38, then change to bus 3 to get to the Grottoes. Journey time about an hour in total. And cost 4RMB (2RMB per bus). However, you have to set up some kind of public travel app from Wechat to get the QR code to pay the bus fare. I didn't know this. Fortunately, some nice people helped pay my fare, then another lovely girl helped set up the app enabling me to use the bus from then as when I arrived and took the bus from the train station to hotel Wechatpay didn't work. Fortunately the driver let me ride for free as I guess he realised Im foreign and don't have this app. Only when I took the bus to Yungang Grottoes, the girl told me I need to set up the travel app etc and helped me set it up.
3. The hotel is also right opposite to the Huayan temple. A beautiful ancient temple. Deffo can't be missed.

It was a very pleasant stay in the hotel. I stayed for three days and I enjoyed the comfortable and spacious room with its soft floor, the adjustable illumination and the goodies which I received daily as well as the breakfast buffet, which included a variety of Chinese food, salad, fruits, toast, cornflakes, little cakes and freshly made noodle soup.
