Hotel Romantik di Tokyo

This review will be hard to write, it's a very nice hotel but I also find it hard to recommend to tourists. Room: The Tokyo Tower view room is very pretty at night. The bed is comfy. I don't like having the closet on the opposite end of the sleeping area though, I find that very inconvenient when packing/getting ready. And for a hotel that opened in 2016, that TV is tiny and needs to be larger. The Aesop products are nice, and come in big bottles with pumps (which I prefer over tiny bottles). They also have the coolest slippers! Service: Concierge helped me reserve dinner, and had confirmation letter ready at check-in. Check-in/out was fast and easy. They offer free HH in lounge, I was pleasantly surprised to find live performance! Food offering during HH is pretty basic, but that's ok because I'd rather be eating in the city anyways. Evening turndown service could be enhanced a bit, may need to borrow a page from your colleagues at Grand Hyatt ;) Location: This is the one thing that truly sucks about this place for tourists. Toranomon Hills is a very business-heavy area, a ghost town after 6 p.m. There's no department stores, no shopping, only two convenience stores nearby, barely any dining options after 9 p.m. To do anything you'll need to get on a subway/taxi from hotel. The walk to the subway station is frankly a little longer than I like, but it's indoor underground which is nice for cold and rainy days. Overall, I would recommend a stay here if you're on a work trip and your office is in the area. Or you just have to check this place off your bucket list because of its design or the room with Tokyo Tower view. As a typical tourist in Tokyo who values convenience and accessibility to restaurants and shopping, I probably won't be back. It's a shame because this place has so much potential if it was in a better area, but I guess you can't have it all!

Getting there Getting to the hotel from narita airport, you can take the keisei skyliner to change at Nippori at the Yamamote line to change and stop at Takanobaba and change to another train Seibu Shinjuku station. It will be a few minutes walk to the hotel from there. Very convenient. To go back to the airport, book yourself an express bus directly at the lobby entrance (QR code is there) with a screen on the departure timing to various airports so you don’t have to lug your luggage. Stay Luxurious hotel right smack in the middle of all the action, eateries, shopping, etc. I stayed for 7 nights at the premier suite which I believe had one of the best views around this area. Room is spacious for Japanese standards. And the 2 toilets and 2 bath is something we really appreciate. Amenities are all given, and you have everything in the room, including a Marshall Bluetooth speaker. Staff are friendly and eager to help during check in etc. I did not have much chance to interact with them since I also did not book one with breakfast. One tip is the enter the hotel through Starbucks directly downstairs, instead of going one round to enter the lobby. Just cut through Starbucks and go down the stairs immediately and make a left turn to the lobby. Afterthoughts Good and new hotel in an excellent location. Some things will need to be improved, out of the 7 nights, I only request for rooms to be cleared twice. The first time, housekeeping forgot to refill my towels after removing them, forgot to refill our drinking waters and even left a dirty tshirt in my toilet that don’t belong to me. I believe that could be used by them to clean the toilet, else no reasons someone’s dirty tshirt is found and left in my toilet. Should have definitely used a cleaner rag to clean up the toilet. I did not crate a fuss about it but just took the tshirt out of the room since it is a new hotel that just opened for one week and all staff are new too. But this should not happen next time again, especially since this is a suite booking. P/S check out Ichiran 3 mins walk away and the 24 hours Don Quixote too.

A new hotel that is clean, has good Wi-Fi, a nice onsen and a great place to break up a trip before you fly or after a long day of flying. Connected to the Terminal 3 (international terminal) it is build on top of a small shopping mall with a few restaurants. The hotel has pushed for self check-in and check-out and has a row of these machines with a very small face-to-face area. Some people might not like this. For me the check in machine didn’t work properly and the staff helping me took 4 tries before it would scan my passport. Check-out was fast though and took under a minute. My room had its own air conditioner so in winter the room wasn’t boiling hot which for me is a very major plus point (if you’ve travelled in Japan in winter a lot you will know what I mean!). I’d be very happy to stay here again

The room is super big and with king size bed 🛌 We can view the Tokyo tower in our room balcony 🗼 Must order in room service breakfast the night before 😍most of the staffs in Japan do not speak fluent English but this hotel do! Staffs are helpful and polite The bathroom got a jacuzzi 😍 super nice Skincare set is available !

Initial Room Issues: Upon settling into our room, we were immediately disturbed by a persistent cracking sound coming from the windows. It was loud enough to wake us up multiple times throughout the night, occurring every 5 to 10 minutes. This was incredibly frustrating, particularly after a long day of travel. Response to Complaints: The next morning, we reported the issue to the front desk and speculated that the noise might be coming from one side of the building. We requested to switch to a room on the opposite side before heading out for sightseeing. However, upon our return later that evening, we were given a room on the same noisy side, just one level up. This felt dismissive of our concerns and came across as a lackluster attempt to resolve our issue. It seemed as though they thought we were merely seeking an upgrade rather than genuinely wanting a quiet place to rest. Final Room Change: After expressing our dissatisfaction once more, the staff finally moved us to another room on the opposite side of the building. While this room was slightly larger and had the benefit of not placing the bed right next to the window, the cracking sound persisted. Although it wasn’t as disruptive as before, it was still disappointing that the initial concerns hadn’t been fully addressed. Culinary Highlight: On a positive note, the food at the hotel’s restaurant was excellent. The dinner was delicious and a highlight of our stay. Conclusion: While the restaurant offered great meals, the room issues and lack of effective communication left much to be desired. I hope the hotel can improve its responsiveness to guest complaints in the future.

The hotel is centrally located and I think that’s basically the sole reason I may consider staying at it again. Checking in was smooth (thanks to the HK colleague seconded from Ritz Carlton HK), and other than that, I think your hotel staff needs re-training, especially the concierge team! Terrible service and clueless! My friends who were also traveling were not as lucky at check-in. One wasn’t able to get his room at 6pm and was asked to wait (20 mins), and when he finally got his key, he went into the room where someone was already in it. Who could expect this kind of mistake happened in a “modern luxury hotel”? My other friend nearly traumatized trying to check-in with a staff who can’t really speak English and don’t understand what “confirmation number” means. To me, the only disappointment was no upgrade at all even I was a Titanium member then. But well, I of course understand it is “subject to availability”. Hotel itself and its location is superb and definitely create a modern luxury feeling. But I’m staying in a HOTEL and HOSPITALITY and SERVICE should be the most important. And Edition Tokyo fails in all aspect, and maybe this is how you want to create a “lasting memory”? The short lady at the concierge was rude and impolite. When I was trying to ask about the timetable of the airport bus and where the stop is, she simply said why don’t you check it online cos you need to use your credit card and book anyway! I cannot believe this kind of service in Japan, let alone at a 5-star Marriot managed hotel. In the end I let my friend to handle it and she told me she talked to 3 different concierge colleagues and each gave a different answer, in the end it had to escalate up to the duty manager to get a concrete response on how to take the airport bus to Narita. Crazy! Then on separate occasions we went to the lobby bar. We requested to sit by the window and the waiter there said “it is reserved” on every occasion. In the end of course the sofa by the window was empty (and on one occasion it was empty till the bar was closed). I got annoyed and asked for the restaurant manager and I said “if you need a minimum spending just say so, why you have to put us at the bar table?” She said she would look into it and of course no one has yet to give us a good reason why is it the case. And service at the bar was appalling and to a certain extent I would even use “racist” to put it. As a Titanium with Marriot Bonvoy and a Globalist with World of Hyatt, I must say I made a terrible mistake staying at Tokyo Edition. I am sure I would receive better treatment and a better holiday experience if I stay at Andaz Tokyo which is across the street!

Best word to describe the hotel PERFECT! Location is near to the train station(few different station) all by walking. If U don’t have a picky eater in ur family it’s food heaven there. Extremely clean . All staff extremely friendly. Oh room kind of small. But enough for us . 2 kids 2 adult 4 luggage. Only one huge luggage the rest cabin size. Oh and the projector u need ur phone to cast on the canvas. Love love this hotel. Definitely will be back here again! Look at the bar area!

Saya menempah bilik pemandangan laut seluas 23 meter persegi Bilik yang saya diberi pada mulanya tidak dapat melihat laut langsung . Bilik seluas 23 meter persegi di hotel ini tidak boleh melihat laut untuk datang ke hotel ini untuk melihat Tokyo Bay, biliknya mestilah bilik deluxe ke atas, dan ia adalah di kawasan awam. Pemandangan dari mata air panas di tingkat atas juga sangat bagus, jadi cubalah apabila kurang orang. Sarapan pagi mempunyai lebih sedikit sashimi, tetapi selebihnya hampir sama dengan hotel biasa. Hiasan keseluruhan adalah milik Samsung, dan nisbah harga/prestasi adalah purata. Lokasinya agak teruk daripada Toyosu, dan anda perlu menaiki Seagull Line untuk 2 perhentian Anda boleh melihat hotel di sebelah kanan selepas keluar dari stesen. Bas Limosin Lapangan Terbang Narita Haneda, saya tidak tahu di mana untuk membeli tiket atau jika saya perlu menaiki kereta api bawah tanah dan JR untuk ke lapangan terbang. Pasar Toyosu adalah sederhana dan kedai-kedai pelancong tidak berkualiti. Selain itu, sarapan yang anda pesan adalah makanan Barat yang ringkas Jika anda ingin makan secara bufet, anda perlu pergi ke kedai untuk mendapatkan tambahan 110 yuan untuk melihat pemandangan laut, lebih baik pergi ke Yokohama kembali ke hotel ini!

Nice location, can see sky tree through room window. Nearby train station is TX Asakusa (not JR train station) 2 stops to Akihabara. Lawson and Donki 24hrs nearby. 2 mins walk to Asakusa Temple. Free Ramen from 21:30 to 23:00 and free ice cream night / free yakult morning at onsen level (B1). Checkin at 3pm but there is luggage storage service if you come earlier.

What a wonderful stay in this hotel! Mainly it is very convenient and accessible to everywhere in Tokyo because it is just a few minute walk to Shimbashi train station. Also, the surrounding of the hotel is very quiet and comfy, not crowded but after one minute walk, there is very busy with traffic, convenience stores, cafes and restaurants. Therefore l really enjoy staying there for 3 nights. Next time to Tokyo l do stay in this hotel again! 👍🏻💯😍
