"Yabbiekayu is a beautiful way to experience Javanese rural village life. Set amongst the rice fields with a beautiful edible garden, our villa was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Particularly enjoyed the spacious patio and private outdoor bathroom I visited for two nights with my husband and 6-month-old baby... we didn't want to leave. Yabbiekayu's commitment to sustainability is genuine and apparent in almost every detail. The bungalows showcase traditional Javanese architectural designs that promote passive cooling, with plenty of shaded outdoor living spaces to enjoy the fresh air and peaceful ambience. In this way Yabbiekayu manages to create comfort through working with the environment rather than against it. Its staff members are friendly, knowledgeable and professional and create a welcoming, community feel to the resort. The restaurant served a variety of delicious food that tasted "home cooked", leaving us feeling revitalised and nourished. Highly recommend arranging a visit from the village masseuse, who was amazing. "

"This hotel and the mission behind it was the perfect fit for my Village Experience group. The rooms were large and beautifully decorated. The gardens and pool area were immaculate. The restaurant was delicious and an incredibly serene atmosphere. The staff was amazing. We loved the batik textiles and wallpaper and the gorgeous artisan items for sale. I will be bringing many more groups to this hotel in the future!"

Clean sheets, neat room design with old wood nuances, electric mosquito repellent is also provided. I didn't expect the Art Gallery ad homestay to be this comfortable, even though you have to carry your suitcase to your room because it goes through the garden, but recommend it for staying."

"Nature provides the ultimate luxury and Yukke Tembi delivers that luxurious serenity in its peaceful premises. The blissful scene outside the room is perfection. Tastefully designed rooms with traditional touches ensure guests' comfort and all needs are met. Impeccable service and clean environment made this excellent value for money. Communication was prompt via WA and all queries were answered. It may be some distance from the bustling town (about 20mins via Gojek) but it's a lovely respite, fabulous place to recharge and rejuvenate. Must stay for those who enjoy nature, natural elements. Would love to return for longer stay"

"I stayed three nights at Yabbiekayu as a solo traveller and it was a great retreat from Jakarta. Amel and Silvi looked after everything smoothly. I did a trip to Borobudur and a tour around Yogya, as well as the bike ride and yoga on my bungalow porch. It was a great balance of activities. The vegan food was amazing. I’d do it again just for the Yabbiekayu experience."
