"The perfect location in central Wernigerode for your stay. An easy walk to the castle, the steam Brockenbahn and the main railway station from here, as well as all the local cafes and restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful, although little to no English is spoken here, so brush up on your German before travelling. Breakfast is plentiful and first class, the rooms are comfortable with nice bathrooms and there is a fridge in each room. WiFi is excellent. I'll be staying here again on my next trip to Wernigerode."

"The breakfast service was superb. There was no place to stay in the evening, for example, as the hotel did not offer dinner. If you have not eaten dinner somewhere in town, you are stuck. The service at reception was not very friendly. The beds were much too soft and there was a deep hollow in the middle. The hotel is getting old and in desperate need of renovation. The radiator in the bathroom is very rusty. There was no fridge. It looks as if they are only renovating bit by bit. It is only OK for an overnight stay, but not 3 stars."

( more I don't remember at all ) For people who like absolute rest, after the stress in the daily life, it is more than more than perfect. The parking is just in front of the house. Who likes the simplicity, it is suitable for him. Of course there are dreamers who expect 5 stars... who go to Hilton or Kempinski and live there, please, your prosperity facade. "Usually I would stay at the HKK, but their prices are now very high, so I came across this hotel and was very pleasantly surprised by the hotel and its staff. Nice large room,clean and well maintained hotel with really helpful staff in reception,really made me welcome. Breakfast was good quality with hot and cold choices,great bread rolls. Really liked the sauna,which they get ready for you, just let the know beforehand. Some great little restaurants wright on your doorstep."

"We had a bean in the room. The boss pointed us to be here on the countryside and the problem is known for a long time. There we had luck again, there are also leaves and leafs on the countryside. The rooms are awaiting. The staff is very friendly and premature. At breakfast buffet everything you need is available. But according to my taste, the breads were just baked and no baker breads. The night buffet is not worth €28.50, but from the taste it's okay. Unfortunately, the second restaurant is closed on the site because of disease. In short there is for the boss, not for the staff."

"A nice hotel in a very nice old city. Directly located in the middle of the old city. Parking was easy on the location. The hotel has an old part and a newer part, and we had a room in the newer part. The room was large, clean and had a not so good view over the parking space and not over the city. The room had room bar and wifi. Breakfast was good and with all options you wanted in the morning. In the evening the same area was a restaurant with very good food. The bar in the same area is open in the evenings and are a nice place to recap what you have seen during the day."

"The sauna costs €6.50 because of the increased energy costs. It would be OK if it was included in the booking and the infrared cabin worked. The breakfast food is nothing special. Well, I got a roll that was from the day before. The breakfast service is friendly, but they wander around aimlessly. They walk past tables that need clearing, preferring to clean tables or set them instead of refilling food and drinks. You stood in front of a half-empty buffet, even water bottles were not replaced. The room was simply furnished and the bed was comfortable. If you wanted a made bed and the trash can emptied, you had to hand in a card at reception. Only then did you get room service. The room itself was clean, but the cleaning lady apparently didn't know the corners of the ceiling and floor because there were cobwebs there. After I asked them to remove them, they got rid of them."

Electric outlets on both sides of bed. Quality breakfast with plenty of variety. Pleasant staff w/ modest but sufficient English. On market square, convenient to food, shopping. Walkable to train. Some accessible rooms. Hotel connects several buildings and there are 3 or 4 steps at points along the corridor. Rooms 301-307 require ascending a full flight of stairs. Be sure to check with hotel if you have mobility issues. Suggestion for hotel mgt: Keurig style coffee/tea in room, or in lobby would be a plus."
