"We stayed at this hotel for a long weekend and were very pleased with our choice. The location is perfect: just a 5-10-minute walk from the historic half-timbered center of Wernigerode and the famous town hall. The hotel was a great starting point for a trip to the mountains—we were just a 35-minute drive to the starting point of the hike to the Brocken (Torfhaus). A huge plus was the breakfast! A full, filling buffet with a huge selection, everything was delicious and fresh, the perfect energy boost before a long day in the mountains. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the hotel is quiet and pleasant to relax in after an active day. Cons/Nuances: When booking, the parking was stated as "public," which was a bit confusing at first. In reality, it is a large, closed, and secure multi-level parking garage (Parkhaus "Altstadt"), which is connected to the hotel. Entrance is from Pfarrstraße 43. From the parking lot, you can take the elevator directly to reception, which is very convenient with suitcases. It costs €10 per day and is paid directly at the hotel reception. GPS sometimes confuses the technical entrance with the official barrier, so it's best to enter the parking lot address directly. Bottom Line: Excellent value for money. For those traveling by car in the Harz region, this is one of the best and most convenient options in Wernigerode. We'll definitely be back!"

"Good location for hiking to the Brocken mountain. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is delicious. I bumped my head on the rail above the pillow; it's at an awkward height. There's a staff shortage. Unfortunately, the receptionists are always somewhere else, which is a shame. I've worked in hotels before and know how stingy the owners/managers can be. So, please hire more people. If the hotel had guests all year round, this wouldn't be a problem."

"Usually I would stay at the HKK, but their prices are now very high, so I came across this hotel and was very pleasantly surprised by the hotel and its staff. Nice large room,clean and well maintained hotel with really helpful staff in reception,really made me welcome. Breakfast was good quality with hot and cold choices,great bread rolls. Really liked the sauna,which they get ready for you, just let the know beforehand. Some great little restaurants wright on your doorstep."

"We didn't stay at the hotel, and only had dinner here one evening. Ordered the Brockenschnitzel and the Harzer Wildgulasch, both were actually very nice but we waited well over an hour for it to arrive! We're generally pretty patient and understanding when places are busy, but this seemed excessive, in fact our food arrived so late we couldn't even order a desert because the kitchen had closed once we'd finished eating. The staff were very courteous but possibly there weren't enough of them to cope with the customers."
