"The hotel staff are friendly. Note that the hotel does not accept cash for payments, including the tourist tax for your stay. The hotel itself is nice, modern, and equipped with a lift. The hotel focuses on minimalism, so you won't find a closed-door wardrobe. Both the room and toilet are equipped with a heater. The bed and latex pillows are comfortable. They also provide branded Nuxe shampoo and handwash. Complimentary bottled water and coffee drinks are provided only on the first day of your stay. However, there are a few areas where the hotel fell below my expectations: No free slippers or toiletries (e.g., toothbrush and toothpaste) are provided. The water flow from the shower is weak, although still bearable. No fridge in the room. You need to request an electric kettle from the receptionist. (How much would it cost to place one in each room?) The most disappointing factor is that the air conditioner did not allow me to select ”cold” mode during my stay in mid-April—it only had ”heat” mode. Seriously? Also, if you plan to store your luggage overnight at the hotel, it won't be possible as they do not accept overnight storage. Location note: The hotel is located about 500 metres from Bruxelles-Midi / Brussel-Zuid station. It can be quite scary walking from the train station to the hotel at night, as the surrounding area is occupied by African shops and residences. This may not be convenient for female travellers. If your budget allows, I suggest staying at the Pullman, which is adjacent to the train station, especially if you need to catch an early train the next day. Otherwise, consider staying near Grand Place."

"excellent service, reception staff were very helpful and responsive, even offering a room upgrade for us due to some faulty issues with the sink/door latch. location is also rather convenient, and hotel rooms were very clean and spacious! would definitely consider again if ever in Brussels"

"Location is generally good and a just few steps to Metro from where you could connect to Brussels Midi in around 20 mins. Near shops/small restaurants. Around 15-20 mins away from Grand Place which is my favourite historical attraction in Brussels, surrounded by many eating places and shops. The lounge smells so nice, inviting. Staff are friendly and helpful. Clean, fresh-smelling simple room/toilet. Felt like Japanese themed. Good water pressure. Water may spill out of the cubicle as it is half open.You need to move to the left of the shower cubicle to ensure water wont splash outside. Nespresso machine provided for coffee lovers like me. 4 pods free then buy the rest that you’d need for a fair price, I think. The table is quite small but they provided an extra stool. Has a properly working air-conditioning system. Green-coloured wall panels, quite relaxing to the eyes. The space is adequate. Bed is quite comfortable. Ensure to put the “Do not disturb sign” as you may be awakened by staff cleaning the other rooms which happened after the first night. Windows couldnt be opened. Had a bit of sneezing during day 2 but room was serviced which helped a lot. A tablet was provided where you could request for extra amenities. It was very useful. Was quite pleased to have stayed here. Will recommend."

"The location might be close to the train station, but I was not comfortable with the people in the street in front of the hotel. Great value and if you’re with friends and family, for the price, it’s worth it. I would say though some rooms have poorer noise cancelling than others but overall, clean and firm bed which I appreciate."

"I was impressed from the moment I walked into the hotel. I especially liked the self-check-in process using the self-service check-in machines.It's very easy and quick. It would be great if all hotels did this. The room was very large, spacious, and well-organized. The air conditioning was very cold, even freezing. The bathroom is well-divided and spacious. A housekeeper will come to clean every morning. There is a dining area, a small kitchenette (cook and clean up afterwards), a ping pong table, and items for sale in a display case. If you have any problems, there is a staff room located behind the check-in/check-out area where you can ask for assistance. Excellent location. Close to shopping areas, carreful (Grocery store )and the train station. It's an 8-minute walk to Louise Station And you can connect to the main Bruxelles-Zuid MIDI station to easily switch to other cities.. The tram station (Line 2) is right outside the hotel. If I ever return to Brussels, I will definitely book this hotel again. I hope my review is helpful. 🙏"

"We stayed at The Standard in Brussels for Valentine’s Day and it was honestly the most perfect romantic getaway. From the moment we walked in, everything felt effortlessly cool yet luxurious — the interiors are stunning, with bold design touches and the kind of atmosphere that makes you instantly relax. Our room was beautiful: super stylish, incredibly comfortable, and with amazing views over the city. The bed was huge and dreamy (we didn’t want to leave), and every little detail felt thoughtfully done. The vibe throughout the hotel is chic but not pretentious — lively in the evenings, especially around the bar and restaurant, which made Valentine’s night feel extra special. Cocktails were incredible, the food was delicious, and the whole place had that modern, romantic energy without being cliché. If you’re planning a couples’ trip to Brussels and want somewhere that feels five-star but still fun and vibrant, The Standard is such a good choice. We made the best memories there and would go back in a heartbeat. ❤️"

"location could be better but after acquaintance of city spots found it good enough when you know the way towards (rainy days didn’t helped either). service (friendly staff) and amenities good even not having breakfast (water and coffee complementary offer and pool room unexpected but appreciated). city tax less than in other previous cities passed by so didn’t matter as much…"

"Hotel at a great location, mins to tram, metro stations. Train station is only 10min walk away. Carrefour express is opposite too. Room is very spacious, with huge bed. Interior design  visually was so so but practically comfortable. Staffs were friendly and helpful."

"Location was pretty good, right outside rogier station, room was clean, big and comfortable. However, there are some points that detracted from the overall stay. First, the shower was scalding hot / cold, difficult to tune to acceptable warmness, seems like safety hazard as the water was super hot. Second, housekeeping inconsistent, occasionally not refilling towels/amenities. Third minor point, some of the artwork a bit odd, example painting with 3d hands and a glow in the dark UFO scene, slightly uncomfortable vibe at night."
