Kho Chang is a beautiful island covered with trees, mountains and waterfalls. There are perfect beaches on its western shore. On one of these is Coconut Beach Resort. It's scale and architecture suit this island. Some larger hotels there might as well be in overdeveloped cities. Accommodation is in clusters of two-story buildings innThai style, grouped around a beautiful swimming pool and tropical gardens. There are trees on the beach with hanging swings and womb chairs. The restaurant has tables at the edge of the beach. The Thai food is delicious - seafood in red curry, whole fish simmering at your table, grilled prawns - and there are cocktails to complete the holiday treat. Service is friendly and efficient.

Pros: outstanding beach & snorkeling Cons: grounds are NOT accessible, walk ways are uneven, pieces of wood are missing on boardwalks, very unsafe, especially trying to navigate in the dark!!! Breakfast was repitious but good. Water cooler is removed after breakfast?? Restaurant is virtually empty during lunch & dinner; tourists go elsewhere for better tasting, portion sizes & much better prices! Front end staff are friendly but unrecepetive when issues arise Ground and House Cleaning Staff are lovely!! So much potential here. Many more accommodations to choose from. Would definitely look elsewhere in future.

11/25/23 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Friendly ,professional and accommodating staff Very private and quiet location 3 wonderful nights Arrived at 12:00pm . Rooms were available and the wonderful receptionist checked me in early. The room I reserve was older. I viewed the renovated rooms by the reception building and it was magical. Modern, King bed , large tub for two, high ceiling , balcony, rain shower , water kettle , beach and bath towel etc etc . Take my money please !!!!!!! Paid extra , but so worth it( see pics). Breakfast was simple: eggs, pancakes , thai food , instant coffee, tea bags , hot water , fruits and salad. Resort is next to the beach. Fine sand, calm shallow water , very clean and baby elephants playing in the sea. The staff here is what made this resort shine. Always greeted with a smile Plenty of auto and bike parking. Location: 30 min to the ferry/pier 5 minute walk to the main road 5 “. “ to amazing restaurants , bars, live music , massages, cafes , motorbike rentals , ****s shops , etc etc . Best location for all your needs. Lovely stay. Looking forward to my next visit .

Rooms are spacious and have everything one might need during the holiday, however, everything looks a bit worn out. They clean and change towels every day, but you need to ask to change the bedsheets. Wifi connection is good enough to work online. The biggest problem was the air conditioner - it's sooo noisy. The hotel territory and the swimming pool are lovely! During our stay there were always sundecks available either by the beach or by the swimming pool. You can ask for a special beach towel at the reception, which is very convenient. Thai food restaurants, cafes, small local supermarkets, laundry and bike rental shops are within walking distance from the hotel. There's no seven eleven in the vicinity and small shops are overpriced with very limited choice of everything.

This hotel has been operating for over 10 yrs. It was good back then and still a good vibe here. Its got to be the best budget option on Lonely beach for sure. The room I was allocated was so clean, nice and had a new feel about it. Large bathroom and fridge in the room. Good price Restaurant food is not bad. The Cambodians working there are friendly. But I imagine they dont suffer fools. If you treat them well they will treat you well. If I were management I would probably keep a closer eye on them to make sure they are being polite to all customers. If you plan to walk into town at nighttime you need a torch. Its not far but dangerous in the dark with the bikes and cars zipping past. Highly recommend this hotel and restaurant. Right on the stunning beach. White sand and nice water. Cant wait to go back!

So, where do I start!? I've given them 3/5 as any lower is mean based on the fact they are trying. Sort of. Our (sea view deluxe suite) room was not as described. They have many variants of each room type , but they use a collection of photos from each room to create ”one room”. This means when you arrive your room won't be as you expected it. Our ”suite” was sold with pictures (and description) as being a Thai style house, with separate living area, a sun drenched reading area / lounge, and a double sized outdoor sun lounging terrace. £95 a night (half price apparently, according to ***********). The reality was one large bedroom, one bathroom. No lounge. The far walls were painted breeze block with a TV attached that you cant realistically watch unless standing. No phone. Nothing. Very basic for £95. Sun deck half the size of the photos. My complaints were met with confusion by a teenage reception trainee. I got the distinct feeling I was not the first to complain. The photos sold a wooden panelled Thai house with sun room. We got a very large square largely-empty room. Excitement of a treat turned to disappointment. We eventually got moved to a private pool suite. Nice room (way way nicer then the other) but the pool is on the shaded side, facing the road and a ***** / ****** club. A novelty as you won't use it other than first thing in the morning when it gets the sun ( the pool , not the *******). We subsequently downgraded to a garden view room which was, in fairness, lovely. The beach is superb. Clear water, gets deep fairly fast. Nice swings and hammocks. The bar staff are lovely and could not do enough to help. Always willing to extend happy hour :-) special thanks to Yoyo and his dark haired friend who were a joy to deal with. The food is fine but severely limited. Fried rice 10 ways, or chicken nuggets. It's a crying shame as the beach bar empties before 9pm. There is so much more on offer only yards away down the road. The food offering is cut back and lazy. The top infinity pool is stunning,and often,you are the only ones there. Dec 2022 and they had not filled it completely until a week of being here . One one occasion we went up to find three divers doing their PADI in the pool. Rather cheeky! The bottom pool is unused. Tips: do not let the young trainee take any kind of bookings. I'm going to call her ”smiles a lot”. Smiles A Lot will give you a firm price for extending your stay after being on the phone to her boss, down to the last baht. When you go to move rooms she will deny you had an entire conversation the previous day, smile, blink, smile, and ignore there is any issue. Her colleague said ”she is just a trainee”, we said, ” we now have nowhere to stay.!!”. Useless. After two years of no trade, I get it, they are recovering, but this place is fairly run down. It took a week for large tubs of building materials to be removed from the top pool area. They are getting there though. It improves every day. The family po

DO NOT STAY HERE!! We paid £23 per night, and unfortunately paid in advance, this is a £10 per night room MAX!! Where to begin. Springs were coming through the mattress. Lights hanging out of the ceiling, live wall sockets broken and live wires showing. Live wires exposed on fuse box. The room was smelly with raw sewage, tap and sink were wobbly in bathroom, TV didn't work, and the fridge was rusty inside and smelly. Do not ( and I repeat ) do not go in the swimming pool, it is not filtered or cleaned. Outside roof above our room was falling down, and bits would fall on you when it was windy. Staff were non existent, and room was not cleaned. Also don't expect to get any sleep, loud terrible music until 5 am, basically it's a bar with some dirty rooms out the back. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

This hotel is on a lovely beach and is walking distance to some great restaurants. The room (Sea Fan) is pretty good for the price. The hotel lets itself down on two really stupid things. There are only 8 pairs of sun loungers, nowhere near enough for a hotel this size. If you don't get up at the crack of dawn you have no chance of sitting on this lovely beach that you have paid for - you might as well be inland. Day after day we find ourselves sitting in uncomfortable upright dining chairs, or the concrete blocks around the bar just to get some sun. The other frustration is the loud music that they play at the lovely bar with a loud bass beat which creates a constant thump in your room until very late. We have a riverside view and for the first 2 days 5 boats moored up and played loud music all day - the hotel was great at trying to get them to turn the music down in the day - but still ruined the peace with its own bar at night. Please please please just turn the music down or play music without a heavy bass !! For these two reasons we wouldn't come back to this hotel which is a shame.

The Hotel is very convenient to the beach and night life. The staff are very friendly however, I was a bit disappointed when I asked them to clean up the room they did not change the beddings but generally I enjoyed staying in the hotel.

Old, dated and Mouldly. Thos place is such a disaster not even a sewerage rat wouod want to stsy here. As the pictures can attest this is probably the worst place to stay oj the island. The pool is dirty. Broken dirty deck chairs. No wifi. Noisy aircon. No HOT water rubbisglh piled everywhere. Even in reception.... 🤯 Broken wooden walkways dirty and Mouldly bathroom. Greasy bed linen. Checked out promptly and found cheaper and more comfortable accomodation 1 block away. Much better places just a few steps away. The pictures on their hotels. Com agoda and Expedia are old and dated. Noisy kids in the dirty pool. The receptionist is the cleaner as well. Infested with insects mosquitos crickets and 🦎 geckos

We were able to check in early which was nice for us, Villa Garden room. It shared a deck with another room with a view of the garden and ocean. The deck also had a regular sized table and 2 chairs, great for working on a laptop, visiting or playing games. The room was clean, had a large king bed (2 doubles pushed together), choice of soft or hard pillow, nice. Fridge, coffee, kettle, TV (Thai), 2 bottles of water provided. Bathroom with nice shower, separated from rest of bathroom by short wall. Good wifi. No problems with noise bothering our sleep. Breakfast buffet was a selection of Western and Thai, all good. They varied everyday. Also egg station, bread for toast, fresh fruit and salads also. We loved their pool. It was large with a view of the water and deep enough for swimming but shallow enough to stand in and visit. It had lounge chairs around in the shade and sun and some had umbrellas. There is a separate small pool for the little kids. Nice vegetation around and a bathroom close by. The restaurant is next to the pool so handy to order food and beverages. All along Khnong Prao the beach, it is getting smaller over time. Nature is taking the sand slowly and since we started going there several years ago, several metres of beach has disappeared affecting all resorts along that beach. Chai Chet has a large shaded area that opens onto the beach and had loungers for sitting. When tide is out, the loungers can be taken onto the sand for the sun lovers. We enjoy the shade and had ample room for that while enjoying the view. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We've stayed there several times in the past and will stay there again in the future.

Une honte! Nous sommes arrivés à l’hôtel Suanya pour passer quelques jours au calme et dans un cadre idyllique. Malheureusement ce ne fut pas le cas…. À la découverte du cadre nous avons été enchanté cet enchantement s’est très vite transformé en déception puis en colère. En effet la chambre qui nous a été proposé se trouvait être insalubre! Elle ne se situe pas dans le complexe de l’hôtel mais à l’extérieur dans un bâtiment qui ne donne aucune envie d’y entrer! Aucune fenêtre, un « balcon » donnant sur les égouts! La salle de bain était le pire de cette « chambre » présence de saletés de moisissures et de rouilles sur la porte et la robinetterie! L’aération donnant sur les égouts des vagues d’odeur immonde imprégnaient la pièce, de plus la présence de trous laissaient tout le loisir aux divers insectes d’investir notre « chambre ». Le lit n’avait pas de couverture nous en avons demandé et nous avons eu le droit à un plaid et une serviette… Nous avons demandé au personnel de changer de chambre mais pour seul réponse nous avons eu « c’est complet! ». Le personnel n’a eu aucune considération pour notre bien être, peu aimable dans toute circonstances. Nous avons donc quitté l’hôtel plus tôt pour trouver meilleur et dans des prix similaires! A fuir!

It was a 3-day-and-2-night trip with my friends and my 9-year-old daughter so we booked 2 villas with a private swimming pool. The villas are not new or super neatly cleaned but all are okay and kind of acceptable. The best thing is the resort staff. They are super nice, fun and friendly. They are ready to drop everything they are doing just to talk to you and answer your question. No matter how silly it is! They make me feel like they are ready to solve all the problems in the world for you, if asked! My daughter loves fishing there (even though she didn't get any fish lol). We borrowed the fishing rod from one of the nicest (probably) front desk staff who didn't seem to be bothered spending time teaching my daughter how to safely use the equipment. Wish I could ask for his name before we left. So I could give him better compliment. The view is just magical. Kayaking is also super fun. The Food is ways, ways better than we expected. The night bartender is a super cool & funny guy. He hosted the funniest Hermit crab racing in the world!

Well, after a lot of searching we finally found a place on the beach, away from the bigger resort areas, within our budget, and overall, we weren't disappointed. The good The location is ideal. Right on a stretch of gorgeous sand with a shallow stretch of sea protected by a shelf of rocks a hundred metres offshore. With young kids, nothing could have been better. Crystal clear waters, clean beaches, and just what the doctor ordered. The staff were very welcoming, and the resort provides free masks and snorkels as well as skiffs for up to three people to paddle out over the shallow sea. There are plenty of fish to see so it's definitely worth taking advantage of these. There's a great collection of tables, sun loungers, swings, and hammocks for you to use, and most have umbrellas to protect you from the harsh May sun. It was incredibly hot at this time and I don't think we were quite prepared for that. The staff were very responsive when we asked for some things to be fixed in the room, such as a missing towel rail from the bathroom, an iced-up fridge, a broken remote control. and these are were resolved within a day or two. Perhaps the best thing about the resort is the restaurant and bar. The food was, we thought, exceptional value and of really good quality. My daughter couldn't eat enough of the spaghetti with pork and tomato and the spaghetti with bacon and chilli is excellent. Also good value is the barbecue set which we had for lunch at least twice. There's enough for 3 or 4 people with just one set. The bar is a great place to relax in the evening though I wish they were a bit more imaginative and varied with their happy hour cocktails. The not so good I've mentioned the problems with the fixtures and fittings in the room. What I find annoying is that guests need to tell staff that a towel rail has been removed, and that the fridge is so iced up as to be unusable. For the price, these things should be checked at least between guest bookings. The wooden laminate flooring in the bungalows has been pretty badly warped and there are gaps between the ends of the boards. This doesn't give a good first impression but perhaps the most annoying thing about the room was the design of the bathroom which seems to have been done by someone with no sense of what should go where. When you open the door to the bathroom, it brushes the side of the toilet seat, which inevitably means the toilet seat is constantly loose. Mad idea to put a toilet just inside a door. I don't think I've ever come across a design like that before. The shower location and the way it's attached to the wall means that anything near the sink gets totally soaked unless you want to remove the shower from the fitting and hold it while you shower. I think a bit of care and effort when designing the bathrooms would have paid off. But perhaps the worst thing of all is the breakfast. Considering the main restaurant food is pretty good, you'd expect breakfast to be along similar standa

Сравнивали с 5ю другими вариантами по такой-же цене, этот лучший. Рядом много кафе, есть аренда байков прямо в отеле. В 3х минутах на байке самый недорогой массаж на острове. До пляжа 3 мин. на байке.

Все было замечательно. Идея с санузлом под открытым небом- скорее интересно чем удобно. Что же касается самого места: все бы ок, но видимо тайцам норм то, что пляж- за счет которого собственно они и живут, закидан мусором, в воде у берега плавают пакеты и пробки. По итогу ( а мы были на нескольких ресортах на острове) появляется эко развлечение- отдыхающие сами чистят воду и пляж от мусора, складывают его в одном каком то месте, а персонал улыбаясь наблюдает за этим…… видимо это особенность местная.

Nous avons choisi ce lieu sans trop connaître l’île de ko mak. L’hôtel est très agréable, environnement verdoyant, les huttes sont jolies et propres, la piscine est un grand plus et agréable. Le seul souci est qu’il faut louer un scooter pour se déplacer, ce qui a été fait en passant par l’hôtel.

Le Baan Suan possède quelques chambres de différentes tailles et différents prix dans une maison en briques d'une jolie proprièté à l'écart de la route et à 5 min de la plage paradisiaque de Bang Bao. Très bon accueil de notre hôtesse Lily, à l'écoute et très souriante qui propose des activités (resto à l'extérieur, bateau,...) à ses hôtes. Chambre très propre, terrasse commune avec quelques transats, bonne literie et très bon petit déjeuner. Une meilleure connexion wifi et un petit frigo seraient bienvenus.

We were welcome very nicely by the Filipino guy at the reception who speaks perfect English. We forgot to ask for his name but we say hello. This property is beachfront and having stayed a total of 9 days on the island let me tell you that the beach at Lazy days is one of the nicest on the island together with ko kham(the islet in front of ko mak). Pure paradise, crystal clear turquoise water with coconut trees near the beach. Very relaxing place with free kayak use. Rent a golf cart if you stay in Ko Mak if you re 3 people or more, it's very convenient to go around. We rented it from another property (hanoii house which we also 100% recommend)as we split our stay due to everything being full for new years but I'm sure Lazy days has it too. The bed is one of the biggest I have ever seen. Room is rustic with sunbeds on balcony facing the sea. In the review I wrote on Agoda I forgot to say how big the included breakfast is , simply amazing choices. Beautiful!

Pros: outstanding beach & snorkeling Cons: grounds are NOT accessible, walk ways are uneven, pieces of wood are missing on boardwalks, very unsafe, especially trying to navigate in the dark!!! Breakfast was repitious but good. Water cooler is removed after breakfast?? Restaurant is virtually empty during lunch & dinner; tourists go elsewhere for better tasting, portion sizes & much better prices! Front end staff are friendly but unrecepetive when issues arise Ground and House Cleaning Staff are lovely!! So much potential here. Many more accommodations to choose from. Would definitely look elsewhere in future.

This hotel is on a lovely beach and is walking distance to some great restaurants. The room (Sea Fan) is pretty good for the price. The hotel lets itself down on two really stupid things. There are only 8 pairs of sun loungers, nowhere near enough for a hotel this size. If you don't get up at the crack of dawn you have no chance of sitting on this lovely beach that you have paid for - you might as well be inland. Day after day we find ourselves sitting in uncomfortable upright dining chairs, or the concrete blocks around the bar just to get some sun. The other frustration is the loud music that they play at the lovely bar with a loud bass beat which creates a constant thump in your room until very late. We have a riverside view and for the first 2 days 5 boats moored up and played loud music all day - the hotel was great at trying to get them to turn the music down in the day - but still ruined the peace with its own bar at night. Please please please just turn the music down or play music without a heavy bass !! For these two reasons we wouldn't come back to this hotel which is a shame.

Une honte! Nous sommes arrivés à l’hôtel Suanya pour passer quelques jours au calme et dans un cadre idyllique. Malheureusement ce ne fut pas le cas…. À la découverte du cadre nous avons été enchanté cet enchantement s’est très vite transformé en déception puis en colère. En effet la chambre qui nous a été proposé se trouvait être insalubre! Elle ne se situe pas dans le complexe de l’hôtel mais à l’extérieur dans un bâtiment qui ne donne aucune envie d’y entrer! Aucune fenêtre, un « balcon » donnant sur les égouts! La salle de bain était le pire de cette « chambre » présence de saletés de moisissures et de rouilles sur la porte et la robinetterie! L’aération donnant sur les égouts des vagues d’odeur immonde imprégnaient la pièce, de plus la présence de trous laissaient tout le loisir aux divers insectes d’investir notre « chambre ». Le lit n’avait pas de couverture nous en avons demandé et nous avons eu le droit à un plaid et une serviette… Nous avons demandé au personnel de changer de chambre mais pour seul réponse nous avons eu « c’est complet! ». Le personnel n’a eu aucune considération pour notre bien être, peu aimable dans toute circonstances. Nous avons donc quitté l’hôtel plus tôt pour trouver meilleur et dans des prix similaires! A fuir!

It was a 3-day-and-2-night trip with my friends and my 9-year-old daughter so we booked 2 villas with a private swimming pool. The villas are not new or super neatly cleaned but all are okay and kind of acceptable. The best thing is the resort staff. They are super nice, fun and friendly. They are ready to drop everything they are doing just to talk to you and answer your question. No matter how silly it is! They make me feel like they are ready to solve all the problems in the world for you, if asked! My daughter loves fishing there (even though she didn't get any fish lol). We borrowed the fishing rod from one of the nicest (probably) front desk staff who didn't seem to be bothered spending time teaching my daughter how to safely use the equipment. Wish I could ask for his name before we left. So I could give him better compliment. The view is just magical. Kayaking is also super fun. The Food is ways, ways better than we expected. The night bartender is a super cool & funny guy. He hosted the funniest Hermit crab racing in the world!

Well, after a lot of searching we finally found a place on the beach, away from the bigger resort areas, within our budget, and overall, we weren't disappointed. The good The location is ideal. Right on a stretch of gorgeous sand with a shallow stretch of sea protected by a shelf of rocks a hundred metres offshore. With young kids, nothing could have been better. Crystal clear waters, clean beaches, and just what the doctor ordered. The staff were very welcoming, and the resort provides free masks and snorkels as well as skiffs for up to three people to paddle out over the shallow sea. There are plenty of fish to see so it's definitely worth taking advantage of these. There's a great collection of tables, sun loungers, swings, and hammocks for you to use, and most have umbrellas to protect you from the harsh May sun. It was incredibly hot at this time and I don't think we were quite prepared for that. The staff were very responsive when we asked for some things to be fixed in the room, such as a missing towel rail from the bathroom, an iced-up fridge, a broken remote control. and these are were resolved within a day or two. Perhaps the best thing about the resort is the restaurant and bar. The food was, we thought, exceptional value and of really good quality. My daughter couldn't eat enough of the spaghetti with pork and tomato and the spaghetti with bacon and chilli is excellent. Also good value is the barbecue set which we had for lunch at least twice. There's enough for 3 or 4 people with just one set. The bar is a great place to relax in the evening though I wish they were a bit more imaginative and varied with their happy hour cocktails. The not so good I've mentioned the problems with the fixtures and fittings in the room. What I find annoying is that guests need to tell staff that a towel rail has been removed, and that the fridge is so iced up as to be unusable. For the price, these things should be checked at least between guest bookings. The wooden laminate flooring in the bungalows has been pretty badly warped and there are gaps between the ends of the boards. This doesn't give a good first impression but perhaps the most annoying thing about the room was the design of the bathroom which seems to have been done by someone with no sense of what should go where. When you open the door to the bathroom, it brushes the side of the toilet seat, which inevitably means the toilet seat is constantly loose. Mad idea to put a toilet just inside a door. I don't think I've ever come across a design like that before. The shower location and the way it's attached to the wall means that anything near the sink gets totally soaked unless you want to remove the shower from the fitting and hold it while you shower. I think a bit of care and effort when designing the bathrooms would have paid off. But perhaps the worst thing of all is the breakfast. Considering the main restaurant food is pretty good, you'd expect breakfast to be along similar standa

Отличное место в центральной части острова, удобное расположение, ухоженная территория, приветливый персонал. Номера просторные с хорошими кондиционерами. Сравнивали с 5ю другими вариантами по такой-же цене, этот лучший. Рядом много кафе, есть аренда байков прямо в отеле. В 3х минутах на байке самый недорогой массаж на острове. До пляжа 3 мин. на байке.

Все было замечательно. Идея с санузлом под открытым небом- скорее интересно чем удобно. Что же касается самого места: все бы ок, но видимо тайцам норм то, что пляж- за счет которого собственно они и живут, закидан мусором, в воде у берега плавают пакеты и пробки. По итогу ( а мы были на нескольких ресортах на острове) появляется эко развлечение- отдыхающие сами чистят воду и пляж от мусора, складывают его в одном каком то месте, а персонал улыбаясь наблюдает за этим…… видимо это особенность местная.

Le Baan Suan possède quelques chambres de différentes tailles et différents prix dans une maison en briques d'une jolie proprièté à l'écart de la route et à 5 min de la plage paradisiaque de Bang Bao. Très bon accueil de notre hôtesse Lily, à l'écoute et très souriante qui propose des activités (resto à l'extérieur, bateau,...) à ses hôtes. Chambre très propre, terrasse commune avec quelques transats, bonne literie et très bon petit déjeuner. Une meilleure connexion wifi et un petit frigo seraient bienvenus.
