My Mum and I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton for 4 nights as part of her birthday celebration and it was perfect! The rooms are so comfortable and the bedding is sublime! The team who work there are so fantastic - nothing is too much trouble and ever so helpful. There are beautiful towels by the pool which don’t slip down and you get two as standard so not everything is wet when you get out! There is even suncream at the pool so you don’t have to bring your own! Wifi is brilliant throughout the hotel. Cocktails are beautiful, about 17-18 euros each but worth every penny! Absolutely delicious. My only criticism was the lack of food choices in the hotel by the pool - not a huge amount to choose from, very fish based (I don’t eat fish) and the service was a little slow for drinks but that could be the time of year. But there was fabulous popcorn cones and fruit kebabs which were shared in the morning which was great. When planning you’re trip, just be aware that there is nothing around without a taxi from this hotel - there’s some lovely local places nearby but you will need to get in a taxi. The beach area is incredibly well set up - the little train takes you there, there’s a full bar and restaurant, toilets, suncream and sun loungers. Overall it was a brilliant stay and would recommend the hotel for sure - would be even better once the refurbishments are done and there are a few more pools and the restaurant with a view is open again! Loved the hotel, felt like an old colonial styled placed, great surroundings so green and fresh. Loved that they were very aware of the planet so had refillable water jugs instead of plastic bottles, same with toiletries...balcony view was overlooking the pool with a gorgeous backdrop...Will stay again

Beautiful hotel with wonderful facilities and services including private pools with plenty of sunbeds, a gym, spa, art exhibition room, games room with pool tables and football tables and TVs showing live sports matches. There are also organised daytime activities and evening entertainment. I loved the neutral and mint earth tone colourway theme throughout the hotel which is very calming and relaxing. I also respect the hotel's commitment to sustainability by installing water filleting machines to reuse bottles and refillable soap and shampoo dispensers. My room was warm, cozy and clean with a nice balcony view and a variety of tv channel and movie selections including Netflix. The cleaning lady was kind to remake my bed from two twin beds into a large double bed with beautiful flower petal decorations and chocolate truffle treats which were delicious and I appreciated the additional touches. The breakfast was delicious ans very filling, presented in a buffet style with so much variety and choice of different stations within the dining room (cereal and granola; fruit, salad and juice bar; toast and baguette station; pattessarie station; hot English breakfast station with a section dedicated to different preparations of eggs). Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location with stunning sea and mountain hill views and has direct access to Torviscas Beach which is less than a 3-minute walk. There are also many local shops, bars and restaurants including a mcdonalds by the beach. I really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely revisit in the future!

Had the most amzin holiday in this hotel spotlessly clean , the staff was so lovely and couldn’t do enough for you reception bar staff cleaners all amzing , food was good for all-inclusive and can’t do enough for you . Keeep doin what ya doin because you doing amzin. Entertainment every nite x

A five star experience from start to finish began at checkin on our arrival. Friendly, professional staff directed us to our room which, despite the dark, promised a great view and was well furnished and spacious. We ate at Wok and Zen the first night where the great service continued alongside fabulous food. The piano bar offered live music every night and the group on Sunday were brilliant. If you choose to have dinner at El Faro, and I highly recommend that you do, then choose the croquettes! I have to mention Gloria on reception who went above and beyond to arrange a specialist excursion for me and for her help and compassion in helping my husband on departure. Sheraton have a team to be proud of…

We stayed at Secrets Lanzarote in May 2024 and booked Secrets Fuerteventura as a birthday treat for me in July 2024. I was really looking forward to this hotel but unfortunately it hasn’t lived up to the 5 star expectations I had. Room: junior suite sea view. The view is amazing, the bed is comfortable and the bathroom is spacious and offers everything you need. The maids work hard and in general the hotel is kept very clean which is fantastic. However, we, as non smokers, couldn’t sit out on your balcony and enjoy the view as much as our neighbours kept enjoying cigarillos what felt like all the time. The hotel offered us a different room but couldn’t guarantee that there would be no smoke from others again. Smoking: in general I found this hotel off putting for non smokers. As mentioned above, it would be great to have non smoking and smoking rooms to avoid being exposed. When you walk to the main restaurant, you have to walk past the smokers who have their smoking corners outside the restaurant and by the entrances of the pool area. Guests also smoke at the beach and as there’s always a breeze you can’t escape it. Cigarette buds are in the sand due to this. Pool area: there aren’t enough sun loungers so people reserve and don’t tend to use them until late. On the last day of our holiday the hotel suddenly decided to enforce a non reservation rule, too late for us as we have left and we didn’t use the pool due no sun bed availability for several days. The pools itself are freezing and not 24 degrees. They need to be heated as Fuerteventura is a breezy island and it cools down in the evening so the pools will never reach a comfortable temperature unless helped by heat. Everyone I saw in the pool said it’s too cold and it was reported to the pool guy but he can’t do anything about it. Secrets Lanzarote was a bath tub in comparison and I spent a lot time in the pool there. The hotel could also invest in new pool towels, they have seen better days. Food: we only ate at the Buffett, which was great. We tried restaurants in town which were great and reasonable priced. Cocktails: we only tried 2 cocktails from the pool bar and they were very bad. They tasted like they came from a slushy machine, they didn’t as we saw them made in front of us but they weren’t very nice unfortunately. The Cocktails in town for 8€ were amazing. I really wanted to love this hotel and come back again and again but we decided that the price point is far too high for a hotel with freezing pools and sun bed wars.

Booked through British Airways (BA) Holidays and stayed in a fabulous junior suite with sea view (#1308) from 21 - 27 September. We usually stay at the Bahia del Duque next door and in fact, I visited this hotel many moons ago when Mirador and Bahia were still one resort under the Melia brand. We were excited to try something new based on the consistent five star reviews of El Mirador. Safe to say, the countless accolades are more than deserved. The tone is immediately set upon arrival. The main entrance and lobby exude a sense of tranquility, and the check-in process was incredibly smooth, accompanied by a glass of champagne. One of my key bug bears are hotels that just check you in, slap the roomkey in front of you, and send you on your way to find the room without any explanation of the hotel's facilities and/or important timings to keep in mind (breakfast, spa opening hours, check-out, etc). Happy to report that El Mirador went above and beyond here. In the blink of an eye, the wonderful Isabella appeared who walked us through the hotel grounds and gave us a mini tour of the premises. Subsequently, Isabella passed the baton to the most energetic bellboy who accompanied us up to the room with our luggage. First impressions matter, and the Mirador absolutely nailed it. Room - utter perfection, zero feedback or comments. Hugely comfortable bed, wonderfully spacious bathroom and walk-in closet. A request for more hangers and coffee cups was met in warp speed time. Breakfast: ah-ma-zing. Yiorgi swooping in with glasses of champagne from the moment we sat down, the friendly Amilkar preparing the most scrumptious eggs, and the mother of all breakfast spreads laid out inside. Staff here are absolutely top notch. Breakfast, on many occasions, was the highlight meal of the day and really something to look forward to. Pool - the grounds are immaculately kept, service around the clock and they swing by with freebies during the day (freshly prepared cocktails, Aperol Spritzes, ice cream, etc). We appreciated the little digital buzzers by the loungers to call for food / drink - without fail, someone showed up promptly after a few minutes to take our order. We tended to venture out to the beach for lunch, so can't comment on the food offering at Las Pardelas. On occasion we rocked up late to the pool (early afternoon) and there were always loungers available. Dinner - we tried the buffet once. El Mirador restaurant looks magical at night, tables set up beautifully (mood lighting, fresh flowers) but we found the buffet overpriced in terms of value for money (60 euro / p.p., excluding drinks). I was really pleasantly surprised with La Pergola Restaurant however, probably my favourite dinner at the hotel - class all the way and excellent food (try the sea bass!) Cenador was also lovely and the head waiter (sorry, forgot your name!) has a knack for builing rapport with customers. The bar is a great place to have an aperitif before dinner, or a nightca

Absolutely amazing. The architecture was beautiful and modern with exotic plants and open spaces. Staff were very friendly and welcoming when we arrived. Large swimming pool with bridges to lead to an island in the middle of the pool (very deep!). Rooms were clean and well appointed - enormous bed but made it feel a bit cramped. Entertainment was provided by singers performing every night (til 11pm so hard to sleep before then if room above). Nice child’s room with a trampoline, table football and air hockey. Upgraded to the preferred club option which gives access to a lounge with free drinks and snacks from 1.30-7pm which we used instead of lunch! Good breakfast buffet. Only used the evening buffet once, was reasonable but not amazing. Some of the other onsite restaurants didn’t appear to have been open all week. The position was outstanding as many good restaurants were nearby and beaches with water sports only down the road. 10/10 would definitely recommend and visit again!

We’ve just returned from seven days of heaven, what an amazing holiday we all had. My husband and I took our adult kids with us, aged 22, 19 and 18. Each one of us said it was the nicest hotel, most accommodating staff and fantastic food that we’ve had in an all inclusive hotel. When we checked in we were given a glass of champagne to welcome us, taken to our rooms, showed how all the gadgets in the room worked and felt very welcomed! We did all three al a carte restaurants and each one was fantastic, you really did feel that you were in a proper restaurant. But the food in the Central Market was lovely too! We were in a swim up room, which is sunny all morning but then goes into the shade. But it was welcomed as the sun can be deceivingly intense. Comfiest sun beds ever! Finally thank you to all the staff. They were all so friendly, professional and as I say just smile! Best smiles and teeth ever! Best holiday I’ve had in a long time - thank you to everyone there.

Having visited Hard Rock in Ibiza, I was disappointed in this hotel as the standard did not live up to expectations. It was my sisters 30th and the hotel did not want to accommodate us as a family party of 10! The service was extremely slow and the staff were rude. The adult only pool had been closed, with no prior warning, due to maintenance and the pool bars were closed. As much as I appreciate that it isn’t fully into the season yet, it has put me of visiting again or recommending to friends!

Loved the hotel. The staff were always really friendly and super helpful. The hotel and grounds always clean and tidy, and there were plenty of areas to relax around the pool. Breakfast was delicious, and the view from 360-degree restaurant and bar was amazing. Really can't fault the hotel in anyway. We had a problem with the tv in our room but reported it via the hotel app, and it was fixed within the hour. We would happily recommend this hotel to anyone. If we return to Gran Canaria, we will be staying here.

This has been the most wonderful holiday. I'm standing here looking at The Arrecife Gran Hotel and Spa and I want so much to run back in. Its a marvellous hotel but it's the staff that are the heart if it. They are the most friendly and helpful staff that I have ever encountered. The reception is not the old counter style, it is 3 beautiful tables and comfy chairs and there are so many of the reception staff and they all seem to speak English so well. I must give a shout out for Ruth who is just starting her career as a member of the reception staff. She was courteous and friendly and helpful despite being very new to it all. Our room was an Ocean view suite and it was perfect A very large room with a sofa and coffee tables for relaxing and a table and chairs at the floor to ceiling corner glass windows showing the fabulous view of the Bay and harbour, so beautiful. Everything is automatic so when you open your door the curtains swish open to reveal the magnificent vista. Little sensor lights pop on at night to guide you to the toilet and back without all the main lights coming on. There was a bottle of tasty prosecco to greet us, a coffee machine, pods replaced everyday also a kettle but do bring your own tea bags. Two small bottles of still water are provided daily too oh , and chocolates.The bed and pillows were so comfortable and the room was almost soundproof. Could fault it. Now for food. We booked B&B but when we arrived they offered us a couple of deals and we availed of both. One was book some meals at their buffet and the more you book the cheaper it becomes so we booked 4 nights which I think worked out at about €22 each per night. Then they offer a clever deal where you agree to pay a certain amount in advance to the hotel, to spend in the hotel and they give you a little credit incentive on it . For example, we paid €130 and they added €10. Brilliant idea. Breakfasts were fabulous, everything you could ever want. Warning , if like me you don't like much salt then tell the chef ' sin sal, por favor ' they use rock salt and its very strong. One of the Breakfast chefs was a wonderful lady called Anna. She was so lovely and also helped me with my Spanish every morning that she was there . The buffet meals are themed but it was all beautiful, plentiful food and not a bun fight, plenty of room. The Sky bar Blue 17 on the top floor is a must. The view are incredible and the food is very reasonably priced for such a fancy place. We didn't realise they had entertainment up there and sadly on the two occasions we went up there we missed it but never mind there is always next time. The sun lounge terrace was lovely but being lined up on beds on a terrace is not for us or the beautiful but small indoor pool when you have the beautiful sandy beach and clear sea just outside the hotel. We travelled as a group of 3 families in a group of 10 and were sadly really disappointed with the level of service experienced during my recent stay at Dreams Lanzarote Playa Dorada from 23/07/2024 to 30/07/2024 and despite upgrading to the ‘preferred club’ experience unfortunately, the experience was far from a dream and was in fact totally unsatisfactory. We actually decided to book at the recommendation of our friends that we travelled with to resort, given that they had a wonderful experience staying at Dreams Playa Dorada in August 2023. We booked this holiday as a group of 3 families with 10 people arriving together in total. Had we have received a better level of service we could have been a group that would have returned every year and raved about your beautiful hotel, to all of our friends and family. Upon arrival, my family and the other two families we travelled with as a group waited for 30 minutes to check in, with no welcome or acknowledgment from the staff. This lack of hospitality set a negative tone for the rest of our stay. Additionally, despite a member of our party specifically requesting that our rooms be located next to each other, and in block 1 next to the preferred family pool back in February, our accommodations were not arranged as requested and essentially told by reception staff that they had not been able to plan for this despite our requests 5 months prior to arrival. This although a minor inconvenience caused unnecessary hassle and was dissapointing not to be in the part of the hotel our group would have made best use of proximity wise despite forward planning. Furthermore, the restaurant service at the hotel was incredibly slow. Preferred club guests are not prioritised or able to book tables for a specific time and wait times for tables were far too long, on a number of evenings we had to take our children to the buffet restaurant as they could not wait this long to eat, which meant our a la carte experience was completely diminished. We had to wait for extended periods to be seated on numerous occasions and even after being seated, again we waited for extended periods to place food orders, and the cocktails we ordered took a staggering 40 minutes to arrive from the bar located about 20 metres away. This unacceptable delay significantly impacted our dining experience and left us feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. It was very clear to us all that the staff although working very hard which was very much appreciated they were under resourced and therefore under pressure, and this reflected in the service and manner in some cases. Moreover, the behaviour of some staff towards guests was concerning. We witnessed staff, lifeguards and guest services aggressively removing towels from sunbeds throughout the day (not just the AM) creating an uncomfortable atmosphere and ruining the feeling of the relaxation we were promised as preferred club guests. We have just had a wonderful couple of nights stay at Suites 1478. From the moment we arrived we received a very warm welcome from Lucia who showed us where to park. She took us to our suite and I cannot recommend attic suite 9 enough - it has its own terrace with sun beds, lounge chairs and sitting area. The perfect place to sit in an evening and there is an honesty bar so you you can have a drink while enjoying the view of the Cathedral. The position of the hotel is perfect for visiting the old town. The breakfast is very nice with a lovely selection of breads, cheese, meats, fruit and pastries. All the staff are friendly but Lucia is exceptionally hospitable and I highly recommend this hotel.

My Mum and I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton for 4 nights as part of her birthday celebration and it was perfect! The rooms are so comfortable and the bedding is sublime! The team who work there are so fantastic - nothing is too much trouble and ever so helpful. There are beautiful towels by the pool which don’t slip down and you get two as standard so not everything is wet when you get out! There is even suncream at the pool so you don’t have to bring your own! Wifi is brilliant throughout the hotel. Cocktails are beautiful, about 17-18 euros each but worth every penny! Absolutely delicious. My only criticism was the lack of food choices in the hotel by the pool - not a huge amount to choose from, very fish based (I don’t eat fish) and the service was a little slow for drinks but that could be the time of year. But there was fabulous popcorn cones and fruit kebabs which were shared in the morning which was great. When planning you’re trip, just be aware that there is nothing around without a taxi from this hotel - there’s some lovely local places nearby but you will need to get in a taxi. The beach area is incredibly well set up - the little train takes you there, there’s a full bar and restaurant, toilets, suncream and sun loungers. Overall it was a brilliant stay and would recommend the hotel for sure - would be even better once the refurbishments are done and there are a few more pools and the restaurant with a view is open again! We’ve just returned from seven days of heaven, what an amazing holiday we all had. My husband and I took our adult kids with us, aged 22, 19 and 18. Each one of us said it was the nicest hotel, most accommodating staff and fantastic food that we’ve had in an all inclusive hotel. When we checked in we were given a glass of champagne to welcome us, taken to our rooms, showed how all the gadgets in the room worked and felt very welcomed! We did all three al a carte restaurants and each one was fantastic, you really did feel that you were in a proper restaurant. But the food in the Central Market was lovely too! We were in a swim up room, which is sunny all morning but then goes into the shade. But it was welcomed as the sun can be deceivingly intense. Comfiest sun beds ever! Finally thank you to all the staff. They were all so friendly, professional and as I say just smile! Best smiles and teeth ever! Best holiday I’ve had in a long time - thank you to everyone there.

Having visited Hard Rock in Ibiza, I was disappointed in this hotel as the standard did not live up to expectations. It was my sisters 30th and the hotel did not want to accommodate us as a family party of 10! The service was extremely slow and the staff were rude. The adult only pool had been closed, with no prior warning, due to maintenance and the pool bars were closed. As much as I appreciate that it isn’t fully into the season yet, it has put me of visiting again or recommending to friends!

Ignore negative reviews, I don’t know what hotel they have been to.. my first time here end of sep to 7th October .. with two young boys, they made us nothing but welcome Every staff member greeted us everytime we passed “Buenas dias, holaaaa” Bell boys, cleaners, waiters and waitresses. I couldn’t book a restaurant at first but reception soon helped with this and booked us three restaurants in advance! Italian was the best food of the week! Highly recommend New sprinkler and water slide really makes children’s area as do the children’s club activities and sports hub! You don’t actually need to leave the hotel there’s that much to explore. We did and we went los Gigantes the next town on and seen amazing natural sea pools, highly recommend taking a masca boat trip to Dolphins and landscape views are unreal this was recommended by staff member jabbie and he really did help make our trip with his recommendations and local knowledge, spent a good half an hour talking to us, I really hope his manager knows what an incredible worker she has in him! Room very clean and cleaned every day to high standard, comfortable beds and pillows ..provided with shaving kits, toothbrushes, slippers etc We can’t wait to go back my 7 year old son said he misses the nice staff soon as we got home Thank you for amazing stay

This hotel is one of the best places we have ever stayed in, every inch of the place is perfect, immaculately clean, quiet, beautiful and relaxing. The interiors (which I believe have been designed and installed by the owner herself) are outstanding, personal touches everywhere. The staff are amazing, the food is beautiful, the swimming pool area is clean and there’s a lot of choice as to where you sunbathe around the main pool or around the roof pool area overlooking the golf course (we’ve spent our summer getting up early to snag a bed each), it’s just a fantastic place and I cannot recommend it enough, we’ve had a river villa with our own pool which we’ve used every day, we had an amazing bbq here last night around the pool with a lovely Spanish guitarist and singer, very romantic. The spa is amazing and the signature massage and facial was one of the best we’ve ever had, 10/10 from us and can’t wait to come back
