Hotel 5-Star di Jiangsu, China

Stayed at Pan Pacific Suzhou recently and had a mixed experience overall. The biggest highlight of the hotel is definitely its beautiful scenic environment within the Panmen Scenic Area. The surroundings are peaceful, picturesque, and give the property a unique charm that’s hard to find elsewhere. The guest services team was generally helpful and responsive during the stay, which was appreciated. However, there were several aspects of the room and hotel design that affected the overall comfort and convenience. The rooms felt somewhat small and dated, and the air-conditioning was not cold enough even when set to the lowest temperature with maximum fan speed. We eventually had to borrow a fan from the hotel to make the room more comfortable. Water pressure from the shower head was also quite weak, and after reading other reviews, it seems this may be a recurring issue for multiple guests. The bathtub drainage was another problem, taking more than half an hour to fully drain after use. Due to the hotel’s layout, getting to the rooms involved a long and winding walk. We were fortunate to be assigned rooms on the 3rd floor with elevator access, but many rooms on Levels 1 and 2 apparently do not have direct elevator access, which may be inconvenient for guests with heavy luggage or mobility concerns. The laundry room was also not accessible by elevator. Additionally, the rooms lacked modern smart accessibility features and could benefit from a refurbishment. Location-wise, while the scenic setting is beautiful, the hotel is some distance away from the more lively areas such as Qilishantang, Pingjiang Road, and the main shopping districts. Overall, while the environment was lovely, the room comfort and convenience aspects did not meet expectations for this category of hotel, and unfortunately I would not return for a future stay.

Hello, this is a wonderful hotel in the very heart of Nanjing. If you want to take a walk in the city center and have an amazing view of Nanjing, this is the place for you! The staff is fantastic, everyone is very welcoming and polite. Special thanks to a wonderful girl, Cora, who was extremely kind to us and will gladly answer your questions and help if you need it. Thank you all so much. This is the kind of hotel they say doesn't just sell you a room, but sells you memories. P.S. Since it was my husband's birthday, they upgraded our room and gave us a very nice cake! Thank you all again

Kemudahan: Peralatannya sangat baik dan pintar. Mod pancuran mandian hutan hujan tropika sudah memadai. Ia hebat dan mempunyai tekanan air yang mencukupi. Kebersihan: Bersih dan baik. Persekitaran: ***a Jepun yang elegan. Perkhidmatan: Sangat baik dan bertimbang rasa. Abang dan kakak meja depan mempunyai rasa perkhidmatan yang baik. Minum petang layan diri untuk dua orang: Lokasi yang bagus di Shilu Pedestrian Street.

If you visit Yangzhou, this is the only hotel I recommend anyone to stay at. It has the gorgeous Chinese garden that spreads out for miles. I stayed in building 3 (the only building offered on the internet when I booked). The hotel is connected (walk over the bridge) to the Slender Lake. Staff were very courteous and helpful. My room was tidied up everyday. Breakfast was not include in the room rate but there is a Starbuck nearby where I had my morning coffee and pastry. The room has a balcony, overlooking some trees and other building. Most of the restaurants/eateries were closed (probably due to low season). However, there are a lot of local restaurants in the old town area and Guan Dong Street; it costs about 10 Yuans to take a taxi to get there.

Yesterday was my 22nd birthday, and my boyfriend made it unforgettable by booking a room at the Shangri-La to celebrate. He even sent a special request to the hotel asking if they could help make me feel extra welcome. On the morning of my birthday, he received a call from the Director of Guest Relations, Angel, who told him they had prepared a gift and asked for my name to personalize the card. The service was incredible from start to finish. We had originally booked a king room, but they kindly upgraded us to a beautiful lake-view room overlooking the Qinhuai River. When we arrived, I was greeted with a lovely cake, a heartfelt card, and a thoughtful gift. I felt truly welcomed and cherished. The attentive service began right at the entrance, where Cynthia Zheng from the valet team welcomed us with warmth and energy. His lively and kind presence set the tone for our entire stay. And when we departed, he was just as helpful and spirited as a wonderful person who added to the experience. Overall, my birthday felt absolutely magical, thanks to the outstanding Guest Relations team at Shangri-La. Thank you for helping create such a special memory.

Very good hotel. We would rate 98 out of 100. Great location (photo 1). Located on top of subway line 1 and line 2. Restaurants, upscale shopping malls and hundreds of local shop line the neighborhood streets. Soft but firm mattress, down pillows, down comfortable feels like sleeping on air in the clouds. Bathroom shower has strong water flow with unlimited hot water. The soaking tub was a real bonus. Safe, quiet & clean neighborhood. No sign of crime, gang tags, homelessness, drug ******* which is throughout Europe and the western hemisphere. Great price. Fast check in and out. Only problems, TV had only CNN for western news, (which is useless) and the sound was so low we could not hear it. Which is the only ways to watch CNN, but we could not hear HBO. The shower had tiles with soap scum (photo 2). We travel the world, and really enjoyed this hotel. We will stay here again in our future trips to Jiang Shu

I lost my way to the hotel and hotel security guard came to fetch me n help me with my baggage. Customer service brot my baggage to my room when my room is ready. Im staying on the 50th level. View is stunning. Train stn is 5mins walk thru the mall. Do note that if u are taking train b4 the mall open, u have to go to exit 14 (with escalator). I will definately stay here again if i ever come wuxi again.

Our stay was amazing! Carrie and Labelle supported me all the time and did a great job helping to surprise my husband for his birthday! They decorated the room very early in the morning and even the room was cleaned up again on our check-out day! This small things matter, and it is a great attitude from the hotel and its management when the employees are willing to do extra for customers comfort! The breakfast was amazing and the lounge also. Great view to the Jinji lake and the Gate of Orient. Kids club is well equipped. We loved Crown Plaza and will come back again.

The room was very big which was nice, the staff was very friendly even barely speaking English they tried their best and were doing very well, well done. The only negative point would be that I have been proposed to participate in an excursion to Zhouzhuang the ancient city, I paid expensive and at the end it was only a bus ride stopping all the time everywhere, very long and uncomfortable. I paid way more expensive than a taxi for this, I felt disappointed about it.

I stayed at this hotel for my birthday and had such a great experience. They upgraded me to a suite, which was clean, beautiful and incredibly spacious. When I arrived, they had a thoughtful birthday setup waiting for me, complete with a cake and a sweet “Happy Birthday” display, which I truly appreciated. They also gave me lovely souvenirs from the city, which was such a nice touch. The staff were warm, helpful and always ready to assist. Breakfast was included and offered a good variety of Western options. The view from the room was amazing and made the stay even more special. The location is also very convenient, right next to a plaza with plenty of food options to choose from. I would absolutely stay here again.
