Hotel berhampiran Kuil Nanshan, Sanya

The hotel is beyond expectations. It is located in Xiaodonghai Bay. We were vacationing with our daughter of 1.4 years old. We went for complete privacy, silence and relaxation. The hotel consists only of villas, there are about 30 of them, there are no building rooms, which ensures privacy and silence. The territory is large, incredibly well maintained and very beautiful. Beauty is in the details. The villa itself is well planned and consists of a main house and a small additional one. We had lunch here when we ordered something in the room. The personnel brought a high chair for my daughter and it stayed here during all days of our vacation. Interestingly, they don't just bring food to the room, but also serve the table. It's nice. In general, the staff is as attentive as possible, this is reflected in the little things. The breakfast was included in the accommodation, so we either went to the hotel restaurant for lunch and dinner (only Thai and Chinese cuisine, but there is a children's menu and we ordered something for our daughter), and something Thai for ourselves. Everything is cooked very tasty and of high-quality. It was at this hotel that I first tasted the local Hainan dessert - cold coconut milk soup with fruits and cereals. I'm not a big fan of Chinese food in general, but I really liked this soup! We also ordered food directly to the villa through the Chinese app Elema (饿了么), which is in Chinese. We didn't go to street restaurants. In general, in China, the delivery of ready-made food is incredibly developed, you can order anything and anywhere. If we needed a taxi, we ordered it through the Chinese Didi (弟弟）app. But we didn't want to leave the villa and the hotel at all, we spent most of our time by the pool. Usually we need the sea, but this time it was so good to chill out at the villa that we somehow didn't need the sea). Moreover, we have a little daughter, and so far it has been more convenient to swim with her in our own pool than at sea. We used Alipay to pay everywhere. During our stay, we visited the spa several times, took various treatments (body scrubs, various massages), we really liked everything. They do it efficiently, I recommend it. I also recommend trying small drinking coconuts in Hainan - they are divine! The very taste of a rich bounty)). Look for small brownish colors, no more than 10 cm in diameter, it has a very rich thick sweet taste of coconut. About the sea: if you are looking for active swimming in the sea, the hotel may not be suitable. It's very shallow here (that's okay) and after about 100 meters, where it's still shallow, there's an underwater breakwater. Therefore, if you swim, you will just bump into it. Because of this, there are no waves in the bay. But there are algae growing on the bottom. It may be possible to swim well during a very strong tide, but it was not possible to swim during our visit. That's why we spent the day at the villa, swimming and relaxing there. And after sunset, we went out for a walk along the shore, admired the sunset, played with our daughter in the sand and on the playground, and also strolled along the pier. For some reason, for the first time, we really didn't really want to swim in the sea). In general, if you want to spend your entire vacation in complete relaxation with the chirping of birds, the sound of the wind and the lapping of waves, then I definitely recommend Banyan tree.

We stayed for 4 nights. The hotel was very clean and neat. Breakfast buffet was impressive with extensive choices of fresh food. Our hotel butler Kaylee is super helpful, friendly and responsive. She has been super sweet and even surprised us with a birthday cake when she knew it was our son's birthday.

I stayed at Yalong Bay Earthly Paradise Birds Nest Resort in Sanya. The resort is marketed and priced as a luxury property. While the location, room quality, and cleanliness were satisfactory, the service level was severely below what is acceptable for a hotel in this category. This was not an isolated incident but a consistent pattern of operational inefficiency and lack of professionalism. Service Quality and Staff Preparedness Throughout the stay, many staff members appeared very young and inexperienced. While this is not inherently negative, the lack of visible supervision, structured coordination, and professional training was evident. This may partially explain the repeated service failures, but it does not justify them — especially at this price point. A luxury resort must ensure proper training and management oversight. Dinner Experience The restaurant had very few guests, yet the staff forgot to provide basic cutlery (forks and chopsticks). No one monitored the tables, and water was not refilled unless specifically requested. Even fundamental hospitality standards were not met. Breakfast Management Breakfast operations were disorganized. There was a waiting list based on arrival order, yet guests who arrived after us were allowed to enter before us. We were traveling with a small child, which made the delay particularly uncomfortable. As compensation, staff promised to send fruit to our room. The fruit never arrived. Offering apologies without follow-through demonstrates poor internal coordination and lack of accountability. Checkout and Transportation Failures On departure day, we had to request luggage assistance three times before receiving support. We then waited 40 minutes for the shuttle to reception while several buses passed without stopping for us. During this time, we called reception three times without any effective resolution. Because of this disorganization and delay at checkout, I was forced to postpone a lunch meeting in Sanya with a very important guest of mine who was waiting for me. This was a significant professional commitment. A luxury resort’s inefficiency directly impacting a guest’s business obligations is unacceptable. Communication and Safety Concerns No staff members spoke English. For a resort charging international luxury rates, the absence of English-speaking personnel is a serious limitation for foreign guests. Additionally, there was no visible safety guard near the swimming pools, which raises concerns, especially for families with children. Hotel Environment The hotel’s reserved areas were crowded with external tourists mixed among hotel guests, resulting in noise, confusion, and a complete lack of exclusivity. The atmosphere was chaotic rather than relaxing. The resort does not appear structured to accommodate international travelers seeking privacy and refined service standards. Overall Assessment I have stayed in numerous high-end resorts worldwide where service is proactive, coordinated, and client-focused. At this property, service was consistently inadequate and far below the level expected for the rates charged. Summary: Location: good Room: good Cleanliness: good Service: unacceptable For a resort positioned as luxury, this level of service is indefensible. One of the most disappointing high-end hospitality experiences I have experienced.

The hotel is nice but a little old. It was clean and spacious. We got an upgrade to sea view and which was great. The bed was very comfy. We had great sleep because it’s very quiet in the hotel and outside it. The hotel is located quite far from everything. Every night we heard just sea waves which was very relaxing.10-15 minutes by taxi to the nearest food hall and around 30 minutes by taxi to Sanya city. The taxi is VERY cheap. But it’s also an advantage for some people - it was VERY quiet, beach is great - you can swim everywhere, very few people around, only you and the sea (but there are no lifeguards). The pool area was good, I had no problems finding a sun bed by the pool at any time. Breakfast was great - a lot of food options and the restaurant is open 24/7. Once we came to have dinner at midnight and there were literally zero people and just one staff member. But they cooked for us fresh and tasty food no problem. Overall we enjoyed our stay, the only thing - the rooms need renovations.

Honestly I had read that this hotel was a bit dated and old but I gave it a chance given it was rated one of the top family hotels in Sanya. I purchased a “deal” stay voucher for 3 days which supposedly included vouchers in the package like a performance, bubble party for the kids, petting zoo, train ride, a jungle adventure obstacle course for the kids.  I felt honestly underwhelmed when I got to the resort. Yes it was dated but it felt like everyone who worked there also had lost their will too. The service was poor, I found out all the “vouchers” were for things that were free for all guests anyways. The kids pool with the water slides were under construction, there was zero people to buggy you around the resort and honestly after then needing to “top up” for the days I chose to stay at the resort, I could have easily stayed at Shangrila or somewhere much nicer. It was impossible to get a drink or anything at the resort - being asked to scan QR codes when someone could have easily helped and served, is really disappointing. We then got sold this silly boat package by the bartender instead, telling us that we could snorkel on this boat and there would be equipment for my kids. My kids got on a boat where there weren’t even life jackets that fit them in the end… Location was good and closer to Atlantis and the duty free stores. I would book this hotel only if there is a really good deal ie around 100 a night

We (family of 2 adults and 3 kids) stayed for 5 nights in Palace Resort, the most amazing part of this Hotel is the location, though we rented out car for 5 days but eventually we figured out that other than the special places like Atlantis waterpark, there was no need to go any where else, all the best food, night market, beach is just 5 minutes walk away. By far this is the best location, plus the hotel staff like LUCY was specially very helpful, allowed us to check out late around 3pm, made us felt more comfortable. In addition to hotel’s awesome location, the hotel itself is an amazing place for the kids, kids went crazy in the pool, they could play pool games, boating, slides plus the kids play area is also great. I would definitely come back to this Hotel again, amongst the biggest chains of Hotels around, this was by far the best location you can stay in Yalong bat Sanya. Highly recommend!! P.S great pool, lake and mountain views from the room. Plenty of room amenities provided as and when needed. Trust me, this is best place you can stay in Yalong Bay. The only thing which the hotel might need to improve more is their breakfast, rest everything that you can think of, they are 10/10.

Early check-in was possible. Room was very spacious, although it was not brand new. I found the imperfections in furniture and room garnitures to be quite charming, giving it a South-East Asian touch of a very well aged guesthouse. The outside area is very beautiful and properly maintained with a lot of great scenery and places to chill. Two pools - warm one and natural temperature one - we had a pleasant time swimming in both. Seaside is fine, with sunbeds maintained by the hotel, located under mangrove trees’ shade. It is a pretty busy area for a reason, good for sunbath relax and swimming in the sea, so better come early for the best spots. The service was excellent in every department. Restaurants inside the hotel served good food, especially we liked Thai cuisine. Snack station nearby the beach is also good. They even have a fresh fruit shop with a variety of tropical goodies, reasonably priced for a hotel location. We didn’t try out spa however it seemed decent. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much!

KK. Kami menginap pada 17 Oktober 2025. Apabila tiba, kami dinaik taraf ke bilik (dari pemandangan taman kepada pemandangan laut) di tingkat 6. Air panas tersedia tanpa gangguan. Makanannya lazat, dengan banyak pilihan, termasuk masakan kebangsaan. Terdapat pacifier, kentang goreng, ubi keledek, jus, teh, susu, susu soya... banyak pilihan untuk kanak-kanak! Wanita pembersih, nombor 16, sangat baik; dia memastikan semuanya bersih, menawarkan petua berguna dan membantu. Bilik-bilik dibersihkan setiap hari dan menyediakan syampu, perapi, gel mandian, berus gigi, sebotol kecil ubat gigi, sabun dan topi mandi. Bilik kami termasuk selipar, jubah, peti keselamatan, TV dan SKALA! Cerek dengan cawan dan teh, peti sejuk (berfungsi dengan baik), dan tiada penyesuai diperlukan untuk kedai! Terdapat tuala pantai (biru) dan tuala hotel biasa (putih). Tandas boleh dilihat, tetapi terdapat tirai jika itu mengganggu anda. Tab mandi terletak di balkoni (tidak kelihatan dari tingkat satu). Pemandangan sangat cantik. Duduk pada waktu petang, makan atau minum, sememangnya indah! Kolam renang dibuka sehingga 11:00 malam di tingkat satu. Ia selesa, terdapat ikan (untuk kaki anda) berdekatan, air dibersihkan setiap hari, dan daun dibuang. Lif berfungsi dengan baik dan tidak terlalu sesak. Terdapat tempat letak kereta untuk moped (sangat mudah jika anda menyewanya dengan harga 50 yuan/hari). Ia terletak di kawasan yang baik dan selesa. Anda boleh pergi ke mana sahaja anda mahu. Laut dekat, 15 minit berjalan kaki jauhnya. Bas ulang-alik percuma beroperasi dari hotel secara berjadual, tidak perlu menempah. Kami menaikinya sekali untuk merasai cara ia berfungsi, tetapi kami menyedari anda juga boleh berjalan kaki untuk mengenali tempat itu dengan lebih baik dan melihat sesuatu. Terdapat banyak kedai kopi, restoran dan pasar raya (semua orang mempunyai menu dalam bahasa Rusia). Semua penduduk tempatan mengelilingi bandar dengan moped! Trafik sangat sesak! Kami hanya memesan teksi dua kali (melalui DIDI, 60-80 yuan untuk kad PREMIUM) pergi dan balik dari lapangan terbang. Meja penyambut tetamu di tingkat satu boleh membantu anda memesan teksi, menambah nilai akaun Alipay anda (ia diterima di mana-mana, tetapi tidak semua terminal menerima kad daripada Bank Pertanian Rusia), menerima wang tunai, memindahkan wang dan ada yang berbahasa Rusia. Ada yang berbahasa Inggeris. (Secara amnya, semua orang di bandar menggunakan penterjemah, dan ini tidak menjadi masalah.) Terdapat juga wakil agensi pelancongan di kaunter penerimaan tetamu yang boleh mengaturkan perjalanan ke luar bandar. Hotel ini bukan baru, tetapi ia dalam keadaan baik. Kelembapan adalah tinggi, begitu banyak perkara (seperti di bandar) mungkin kelihatan tidak sesuai. Sila ingat itu! Walaupun dengan semua ini dalam fikiran, kami menikmati penginapan kami.

Best location on Yalong bay for views and beach! Rooms with ocean view with balcony on 7th floor was superb. Clean and bright room with a super comfy .king size bed. Breakfast was diverse, delicious and bountiful. Western and Asian delights with coffee. Service everywhere was professional and diligent, especially housekeeping with special mention to Xiao Jiao and Xiou Li! They were always cheerful and provided outstanding service! Definitely recommend this hotel for a very therapeutic stay!

Close to the beach and close to the Atlantis water park, but otherwise, far from everything. The facility seemed old. our room's AC was making noise, especially at the night and couldn't sleep well, when we called the service to get it fixed, but later on it was still making noises. The slide in the pool was only for kids :(
