There was roaches :( also, at least on the 7th floor, you can hear like all the road noise, including the wackos in the public park right in front of the hotel and the ambulances streaking down 8th ave at all hours of the night. But, the workers were really kind and let us check in at ~10/11 am free of charge. The proximity to 42nd st metro station and port authority was also very convenient.

Room was really small. Very strong stench of ********* everyday in the walkway from the lift to my room. Also, the AC/heater vent is extremely loud and would buzz all night. Definitely not for light sleepers unless you’re fine with white noise in the background. There are four lifts but they’re really slow and there’s always a long queue for lifts especially during peak hours. You might have to wait 1-3 lifts before it’s your turn. Never seen this at other hotels.
Pros were that the TV could connect to Netflix seamlessly. Room had a coffee machine that could double up as a hot kettle. Great Crabtree & Evelyn shower amenities. Room was clean. Reception and housekeeping also rectified issues quickly and were extremely courteous and helpful.

Saya mengembara solo untuk bertemu dengan beberapa rakan yang tinggal di NYC. Daftar Masuk Awal tersedia dengan tambahan $50. Memang berbaloi, kerana saya tiba kira-kira jam 0900. Terdapat bar dan Restoran yang bersambung dengan hotel, tetapi saya tidak menggunakannya. Bilik-biliknya sangat kecil, tetapi saya tidak kisah kerana itu hanya saya dan saya keluar hampir sepanjang hari. Saya tidak menggunakan gim, jadi saya tidak boleh mengulas mengenainya. Saya membawa tikar perjalanan yoga saya; terdapat ruang yang cukup untuk berlatih. Benar-benar menikmati penginapan saya. Hanya berharap ada periuk kopi di dalam bilik. Saya sangat menghargai air botol dan makanan ringan di dalam bilik (percuma). Saya melawat muzium warisan Yahudi, Spyscapes, dan melihat Wicked. Saya makan di makmal sushi, Saar, dan Musytari. Semua pengalaman yang sangat baik. Saya pasti akan tinggal lagi.

This place was fantastic. The rooms are cozy, which is totally normal for New York City, but the location is unbeatable. Everything is central, easy to walk to, and simple to reach by train. The room was spotless and had everything I needed, and the view of the Empire State Building felt like a movie scene, better than any artwork on the walls.
The real highlight was the staff. Easily the friendliest and most professional team I have encountered in the United States. Huge kudos to Tanika and Violet at the front desk for making me feel like family away from home. Absolute keepers. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Great hotel to stay in the heart of Manhattan with amazing city view! Room is not big, but has sofa and all what you might need. Very good breakfast, tea/water is available in the lobby 24 hours. We enjoyed our stay!

The cleanliness was a 10/10 without a doubt!! The room was spotless and like brand new. The only down side I would say is that the bathroom is quite small (you can’t get into the shower unless you close the bathroom door) and the walls are very thin (you can hear your neighbours doing the smallest things such as, opening their door and winding up their curtain).
The hotel had standard amenities like a hair dryer, personal care items and toiletry. However, there was no mini fridge or microwave which made it hard for us to keep our drinks cool.
Location and service was also amazing. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The location of the hotel was also very excellent! It was just a 9 minutes walk from time square and a 2 minute walk from 7/11 which was very convenient.

Location was perfect as it was located in the middle of Manhattan. Convenient to go anywhere really. Room was clean but not spotless. It is the US, not Asia 😂. All in all, pretty satisfied but the price was high during my stay.

Hotel location is around 10 mins walking distance from subway station. The safety and environment nearby is satisfied even when I am alone. The staff is helpful and polite. Just one issue: the room card system was out of service so I was not able to access my room anytime. But the staff are willing to help. Price is at reasonable range with this standard.

Excellente Lage in der Nähe der Pennstation. Bin noch nie so schnell vom JFK zum Hotel gekommen. Fussläufig zum Bahnhof Pennstation 5 Minuten. Das Hotelzimmer war ruhig gelegen, obwohl 30m vom Broadway entfernt. Das nächste Mal gehe ich wieder in dieses Hotel.

KKitrynThis hotel is immaculate and absolutely everybody is above and beyond pleasant. Though not directly affiliated with the hotel, Inexpensive, super clean and very easily accessible parking is a two minute walk away at 25 Kent St. We paid $64 for 2 1/2 days of parking. The room was incredible. Exposed brick walls with super high ceilings, the bathroom had a huge tub and a wonderful shower. Pro tip: if traveling with someone that you do not want to see you naked, understand that it is not a one-way mirror over the bar and you absolutely CAN see into the shower While someone is showering. Luckily I was with my daughter, so this was not a real issue. The restaurant within the hotel and the Ramen place directly next-door are both wonderful. I did not make it to the rooftop bar this time but since I absolutely will stay at this hotel every time I come to visit I will check it out next time! The room was extremely quiet, temperature was easy to control. Now, a little too much honesty, I am an extremely “sensitive” person, and resting and hearing so much from the second I stepped into this hotel. I was never scared, as I definitely don’t typically get scared, but I had numerous very genuine and very obvious things happen while I say that this hotel, such as seeing things walk across the hall in both my room and the hallway, in the main lobby bathroom someone walked into the bathroom and into the stall next to me, but never left, and when I looked, there was no one there,and I was in the shower. I could hear several men talking to each other as if they were right next to me. I was definitely not hearing people from another room. I also heard the door to the stair well open, which is right next to our room and I was right next to the door so when I looked, there was nobody there and I pulled it shut again. Just out of curiosity, as to what was there prior to the hotel, on the way home my daughter looked up the history to the hotel. Let’s just say it was very enlightening as to why i was experiencing so much activity in this hotel, especially on the third floor next to what I will assume would have been a fire escape at some point. It also may explain why the first thing that went through my mind when I opened the front door of the hotel and turned to my daughter and said “I’m surprised the hotel gets away with door opening inward. It goes against fire code. Anyway, You can look up the history yourself and understand all that I have said. :-)  either way, a spectacular hotel at a decent price and a very safe and beautiful part of the city. I will definitely stay here again!

MMs. ShaniquaOmgosh ... hotel was really nice! Breakfast was excellent and it lasted til 11a, which is pretty awesome for those that like to sleep late. So many options (hot, cold and dry). They offer bacon, sausage, scrambled/cold boiled eggs and breakfast potatoes. Whole fruit (apples and bananas), sliced fruit (melons and pineapples). Cold and hot cereal (oatmeal). Yogurt and granola. You can make your own waffles or pancakes (such a cool machine). Make your own toast and/or select from many pastries or muffins available. So many options! You can even place an order vs. eating from the buffet. They also allow carry-out and to-go boxes. Drink options at the buffet include: coffee, O.J. and apple juice.
PLEASE NOTE:
There's a separate fee for breakfast if not selected when booking.
Having said this, the hotel does not have microwaves in the room, just a fridge. There are microwaves located on each floor though (along w/ vending machines -both are in same location). Our room was spotless and absolutely spacious (no deviation from website)!
We arrived way beyond check-in and did call once we knew we'd arrive later than expected. Spoke with front desk staff who assured everything would be OK, only to arrive and find that our room (which was already paid in full) had been given away. The hotel was only able to provide us a King and a rollaway bed. Of course we were disappointed, but the next morning the hotel Mgr. made everything right. Having said that, the rollaway bed is THE HARDEST THING EVER. We bring our own everything (e.g. bedding, cleaning supplies, etc.) so we were able to make it work and make it comfortable. So much so, we'd chosen to not to be moved to the room we'd originally booked. It rained our entire stay which is what caused us to arrive late in the first place (that's a whole 'notha story). Anyway, the hotel had a few small trash bins about the lobby catching leaks here and there, but that didn't stop anything. I barely even noticed. Had I not been recording how beautiful the hotel was inside, I would've never noticed. Parking is $30/day, it's NYC what do you expect? 🤭 There's also parking on the street if you can get spot. Careful though, NYC parking signs can cause confusion for those not familiar with the City's play on words. All in all, this was great stay for us and I'd certainly stay again. Oh, I forgot to mention -I did! Yes, I extended our stay another night because the hotel and location was exceptional!
p.s. they also offer a seated bar area.

The location is excellent — right in the heart of the Financial District. Super convenient if you're looking to explore lower Manhattan or have business nearby.
Facilities:
Facilities are quite basic. Don’t expect much beyond the essentials — the room only came with shower gel and shampoo. No frills, no extras.
Service:
Service leaves much to be desired. On two occasions, my room wasn’t made until around 6pm — despite me being out from 8am. It was frustrating to come back after a full day and have to wait in the lobby while housekeeping did their rounds. There’s definitely room for improvement when it comes to consistency and timing in room servicing.

Hit or miss. Service ranged from great to below average depending on who was working. The standout was the gentleman who checked us in during the night — polite, efficient, and welcoming. Others... not quite the same experience.

Great location, but very limited amenities and inconsistent service. Would only recommend if you're prioritizing location over comfort and service.

KKyle TanIt was seamless, from check-in to check-out. I was able to request for late check-out. Upon check-out I left my luggage so I could still roam around. Got my luggage back safe. Breakfast is okay. Not grand. But I was able to eat everything. I normally couldn’t eat breakfast from cheap priced bookings cause it’s normally bad, but here, I was able to make use of it.

PPengguna TetamuMy stay at the Hyatt Grand Central New York was unfortunately below expectations, especially considering the brand. For the price paid, the overall experience felt overpriced for what it actually offers. The rooms and services were adequate, but nothing stood out as truly deserving of the high rates. It was disappointing, particularly because from a Hyatt property one expects a higher level of comfort, attention to detail, and overall quality. While the location is convenient, the value for money simply wasn’t there. In short, a decent hotel, but far too expensive for the experience provided, and not up to the standard one would normally associate with Hyatt.

PPengguna TetamuI think the main advantage of this accommodation is that it is reasonably priced for the location. The space behind the first-floor lobby is also quite charming. The bed was comfortable, and the internet worked well overall, although the connection for the Wi-Fi and TV occasionally cut out. There was no refrigerator, but ice was easy to access, so this was not a major issue for a short stay.
That said, there were also some downsides. First, the front desk staff were generally not very friendly and seemed defensive when responding to guest requests. I understand that they may have been tired due to the heavy snowstorm in New York at the time, but I still felt uncomfortable with the way my request was dismissed without much consideration, even though I was willing to pay extra if needed.
Second, the room was very cold. I was told this may have been because it was a corner room. After I requested additional heating, the situation improved.
Third, the bathtub would only fill halfway. It seemed to be an issue with the stopper, and although I was able to fix it myself, it was still inconvenient.

PPengguna TetamuHotel is in an excellent location but checking in was a nightmare had to queue for over an hour. The lift system is atrocious. The system gives you a lift for your floor and then allocates that lift to everyone else. It takes ages for it to come and then everyone cannot get into the one lift and you start all over again. Could be waiting 30 mins plus for a lift. Everyone complaining about the lifts and sating that it’s the worst hotel because of it.

Cleanliness & Amenities: Not great. The room wasn't really clean. I found hair on the toilet seat and on the bathroom floor. There was no conditioner left in the bottle, and on my last day, I finished up the soap. It's to wonder if they even clean and check the room before the next guests.
Service: Very friendly and welcoming staff. On the last day, I had a tour and asked to leave my luggage in the lobby. It was easy, and I picked it up later without any problems. However, be aware that a tip is expected and pretty much mandatory. The door man said to leave a tip first before I could leave my luggage. I'd have given something anyway, but I'm just letting you know what to expect.
Breakfast: Do not expect much. You get a voucher that allows you to get one drink, one fruit, and one pastry/bread.
