"Lobby design and view are very nice and impressive. During check-in, there is also a comfortable air-conditioned area to choose from, which is a big plus 👍 The room layout feels quite small. The balcony pool is rather disappointing—very small and not practical for swimming, more for looks than use. On the positive side, the bed is large, clean, and very comfortable, making the stay pleasant. The location is quite remote, so it is more suitable for a relaxing staycation rather than going out for activities. Breakfast is also good and enjoyable. Overall, it was still a nice and comfortable stay experience."

"I had a wonderful stay at SAii Phi Phi Island Village. The resort is very clean, well maintained, and the service is excellent. The staff are friendly, helpful, and always smiling, which made the experience even better. The location is perfect — peaceful, beautiful, and surrounded by nature, yet everything you need is easily accessible. One of the highlights of my stay was the diving/snorkeling experience. It was absolutely amazing, with crystal-clear water and many different kinds of fish. Truly unforgettable. I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Phi Phi Island. I would love to come back again!"

"Venue is stunning, right on a beautiful beach with incredible sunsets. Staff were super helpful and friendly. All I’d say is be careful if you’re booking an Ocean View pool villa - most of them are along the front with good sized pools and a great sea view, but a few of them are set back behind the others with narrow strips of pool and a very limited glimpse of the sea between two long walls (the first 3 pictures). I was very disappointed to have paid the same as my friends for a villa while they had a beautiful seafront pool (the fourth picture) and I had a narrow ***** with a slight bit of sea I couldn’t really see from inside."

"Overall Impression The resort makes a strong first impression, particularly through its beautiful common areas, pool and outdoor spaces. The drinks experience was a standout, with creative beverages that were well presented and closely matched their descriptions. However, the room condition and overall in-room experience fell significantly below the standard expected from the property. Key Strengths Public areas & pool: Beautifully maintained and among the strongest aspects of the stay. Drinks: Outstanding presentation, creativity and consistency with the descriptions. A particularly memorable part of the experience. Storytelling: Evident throughout the hotel and added personality to the guest journey. Breakfast: Above average, with a good variety of options. The bakery, healthy drinks and juices were particularly strong. Sustainability: Good implementation through refillable glass water bottles, wooden shaving items, toothpaste in paper packaging and larger refillable bathroom amenities. Staff: Generally friendly and welcoming. The Duty Manager who assisted us as walk-in guests in securing a room was particularly helpful. Opportunities for Improvement Guestroom Condition & Maintenance The room was the weakest part of the experience and felt noticeably old and tired. Several issues affected the overall perception: Four of six electrical outlets were not working. The iron was faulty and required replacement after a request. The requested king bed was actually two single beds placed together, which was uncomfortable during the night. The duvet appeared heavily aged and grey and had an unpleasant smell. Blackened areas were visible in the shower corners. A painting was poorly maintained, with visible Scotch tape and the artwork coming away from its frame. While the amenities themselves were well selected and aligned with sustainability initiatives, the overall look, feel and smell of the room did not reflect the quality expected from Sofitel. Food & Beverage The restaurants were outstanding in terms of ambience and service, while the food itself was acceptable but not particularly memorable. Breakfast was stronger, particularly the bakery and healthy beverage selections. Guest Engagement Although the staff were friendly, there was limited meaningful interaction. Managers were visible and consistently welcoming, but the interaction often felt more like a polite greeting than genuine engagement. No one proactively asked about my experience during the stay or at check-out. Beach Experience The beach opposite the resort was disappointing, with visible rocks and a generally unclean appearance. Although guests are directed towards it, there appeared to be limited effort to enhance or integrate the beach into the overall resort experience. Overall Assessment Strong resort facilities and outdoor experience, excellent drinks, good storytelling and an above-average breakfast. However, the dated and poorly maintained room, lack of proactive guest engagement and disappointing beach experience significantly reduced the overall stay."
