JJan VrtdzWe had a great stay at the hotel. Everyone staff member was very attentive and helpful. One of the best service I’ve received in a hotel in China.. the hotel was close by to all of the must see sights. There are plenty of restaurants and shops around the the hotel. The hotel offers free shuttle pick from the airport. We weren’t able to be there during breakfast time but they made sure to pack us breakfast for our early tour. We loved our stay here and would definitely stay here again.

PPengguna TetamuI went with my sister. To a place that is remote and strange to us. We did not expect much but we received lots of warm memories. From the airport pick up to arriving. They offered afternoon tea once we arrived hotel as it was very cold. We were taken care of well. The following days were nice breakfast, warm regards, constant reminders to wear more as it is cold. When the food rider could not find the hotel, the boss went out to find the food rider, asking me to stay back as it is cold outside. The constant reminders felt home and warmth, genuinely care for their guests. Amazing and soul enriching trip at this place. They offered more than they advertised - depending on the situations, which is beyond my expectation. Finally they sent us off to the railway station, this is not in the package but they only said they had the car, they can bring us there, like family sending off their guests. Find a place like this, rest for a few days, the world feels warmer, the soul feels grateful.

JJulz d’traveller*The staff are nice to accomodate us.
*The place is close to the scenic spot (few minutes by car).
*The breakfast is not too bad. Few choices but it will fill you up.No drinks (juice or coffee).
*The accomodation was nice to drop and pick us up at the scenic area.They dropped us off to the bus station going to Datong city.
*Problem was the bad odour coming from the toilet. We think it’s from the drainage. We can’t even open the door for few minutes for air to come in because it is freezing. It’s negative degrees.
*The room was nice and comfortable. I can’t find photos or video of the interior. The size of the room is perfect. It has a long bench.Table with 1 small chair.Tv, closet, slippers,toothbrush, hair dryer,kettle and 2 bottle of water.

Ee.l.linaThis is an amazing place to stay. People in Datong are very friendly. And the friendliest ones are in this hotel!!
I stayed here for two nights and the staff helped me with a lot of things like ordering food and booking the tickets for museum. They even gave me a present as I left the hotel which I’m very thankful for.
The room is pretty nice and has everything you need inside. It’s convinient to get around from this spot.
Some people spoke English but WeChat translator was more than enough to have communication.

AalemilaThe room and the building are really nice and the manager of the hotel was really kind to let us check out late. They provided us with everything we needed. Only thing we didn't really like is they don't provide regular towels but single use ones, which do not dry well and is not really good for the environment.

PPengguna Tetamu- The location is a bit far from the ancient city. However, they have a pickup service to the train station.
- The room is big and very illuminated. The bed lining was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The floor has many stains, and looks old.
- There is no separation in the bathroom of the shower from the toilet bowl, and no carpet...
- The cleaning was questionable: there were many hairs in the bathroom!
- The staff is great, they don't speak English, but they do their best to help you with what you need.

PPengguna TetamuThis hotel is really really beautiful - maybe even more than the photos show. Even though the style is traditional, everything inside the room is new, and there's even an elevator to take up bags. The location is amazing too, inside the old city wall, and I walked everywhere except the out of town attractions I visited. I think anywhere you stay in Datong you might have some communication challenges if you don't speak Chinese, but the owner here was very helpful once I put wechat on my phone to be able to talk with translation help, and he was able to arrange a last minute taxi out to the hanging temple after I had given up trying to get one. However, even though he was very helpful, he wasn't always around, and checking in was a bit difficult because there was nobody at the desk. I think this is only a problem if you don't speak Chinese though.
Unfortunately, the wifi didn't always reach to my room on the 3rd floor well, and I could only get a trickle of hot water out of the shower. Overall though, I was super happy with this place and would recommend it!

PPengguna TetamuAjummah at the front desk is very accommodating. I arrived at 6:30am and they were able to provide me a room at 8am. Very close to the railway station. The downside is room smells tobacco. The common bathroom is extremely dirty and smells like urine. There were even poop left is there without flashing down. I had to go up to the 3rd floor and use the bathroom there instead of the one in our floor.
No towels, toiletries, slippers, hair dryer. If you just need a day to rest that is near the railways station, you can book this, otherwise look for other hotels in the area.
