Hotel butik ini terletak di 3 baris rumah kedai 2 tingkat yang asalnya dibina pada tahun 1940-an. Tempat permulaan yang indah untuk meneroka Tapak Warisan Dunia UNESCO George Town.
Bilik-bilik di Hotel Penaga mempunyai perabot antik, lantai kayu yang telah dibaik pulih, dan karya seni Asia. Setiap bilik yang luas mempunyai sofa dan TV kabel skrin rata. Bilik mandi peribadi mempunyai tab mandi spa dan pancuran mandian berdinding kaca yang berasingan.
Penaga Hotel berjarak 7 minit pemanduan dari Gurney Drive, tempat yang terkenal dengan makanan penjaja tempatan. Pantai Batu Ferringhi terletak dalam jarak 20 minit pemanduan. George Town merupakan sebuah Tapak Warisan Dunia UNESCO.
"Persekitaran yang sangat ber***a, cantik, penebat bunyi yang baik, sangat kos efektif. Pembersihan sangat bersih dan teliti. Tab mandi belum digunakan Saya membaca ulasan mengatakan bahawa noda tidak disebabkan oleh haus dan lusuh. Hotel ini mempunyai bufet sarapan pagi, yang sangat kaya Pinggan, alas meja dan pemandangan di luar tingkap adalah menakjubkan~ Jenis bilik adalah loteng dan mempunyai balkoni kecil dengan suasana yang sangat a**osfera. Satu kelemahan muncul dalam fikiran. Pengering rambut adalah kecil, agak terlalu antik, dan tidak begitu mudah digunakan.

"New from Ascot group. Took over a UNESO Heritage building where I guess the structure can't be demolished or hack which makes the rooms small. For the price I pay for the garden patio, it is not worth the price. There are many properties surrounding that matches this price. For example G Hotel Kelawi or Prestige Hotel. Location is good no doubt but wanted to emphasise on the car park that is located left side of the building which no access to the rooms directly where you need to walk back out to the lobby to enter your rooms. Lobby main door entrance doesn't have any luggage friendly ramp to push up to the lobby. Something the property needs to consider as well as for wheel chair. Also, I had 2 crickets visiting my room when I was showering. LOL. Overall, the property is new, nice deco and good location. Just few suggestions above for the property to take into consideration."

Guest UserThe room was clean and spacious. The bed was also clean and large. The private pool in the room was clean, as was the toilet and the large, clean bathtub. It was a great stay for families. My room didn't have any Charlie ants. The only downside was the breakfast, which had a limited time slot – only an hour – so it felt rushed to get food. I would definitely repeat my stay.

Lester T WongThe hotel's facilities are exceptional. On a clear day, the sea view is absolutely stunning, with a vast ocean panorama right outside the room window. If the weather is good, you can even catch the sunset.
I gave the facilities five stars because there are two swimming pools: one children's pool with a small slide, and a sky pool more suitable for adults. You can order food by the sky pool, and it's quite good.
Additionally, for families with children, there's a kids' playground with various activities. Children aged five and above can be looked after, allowing adults to go to the gym or do other things, which is a very thoughtful service.
I only gave the hotel's location and cleanliness three stars. The location is quiet but there's nothing else nearby. Typically, beachfront hotels are closer to night markets, especially this one which is quite secluded. The hotel does offer a shuttle service, but when I enquired, they didn't mention the need for a reservation, and there was only one scheduled trip. I arrived 15 minutes early only to be told I needed a reservation, and by then, it was full. Luckily, a 10-minute taxi ride still works.
Regarding cleanliness, the room attendant didn't clean properly. Leftover takeout food was still in the room, which was quite disappointing.

Guest UserOur last hotel in Penang was in Batu Ferringhi. The hotel isn't very large, and the room facilities are a bit dated, but the experience was excellent! First, the resort layout is well-designed; despite its size, the areas are cleverly arranged, creating beautiful views at every turn. There are several swimming pools, including two for children with slides and more. Most importantly, there are staff members consistently present at the slides and by the pools to supervise and maintain order, ensuring children can play safely and securely! Breakfast was also great; although there was a queue during peak hours, the food was delicious and offered a wide variety. The beach bar also had good food, and it was lovely to relax there with the lights on at night.
The best part is that the hotel has direct access to the beach and the sea! And the path from the hotel to the sea looks absolutely beautiful when lit up at night.
We booked a two-story family room with a lovely balcony. The staff service was also excellent. I'm giving it five stars.

Guest UserShangri-La Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa is an ideal choice for a vacation in Penang. The entire resort is enveloped by lush, tropical gardens and boasts a private beach. From your window, you'll see swaying coconut trees and the Andaman Sea, with the evening sunsets being especially therapeutic. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the bedding is soft and conducive to a good night's sleep. The resort's pools and relaxation areas are well-maintained. Breakfast offers a rich and diverse selection, with plenty of Southeast Asian specialties. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the hotel environment is tranquil and relaxing. There's no need to rush around; simply strolling through the gardens or enjoying the sea breeze by the beach is incredibly destressing. It's perfect for a slow-paced, relaxing getaway. I highly recommend staying here in Penang for a wonderful seaside experience.

love holidayWe stayed at this hotel for 3 days. The check-in process was smooth and fast, which gave us a good first impression.
The breakfast staff were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our stay. The food was decent, but it did not meet the standard I would expect from a 5-star hotel.
I had requested a simple birthday celebration for my husband before our arrival and even reminded the hotel twice during our stay. Unfortunately, nothing was arranged, which was disappointing and made the special occasion feel overlooked.
The room also needed better housekeeping, as cleanliness was below expectations for a hotel of this category.
Overall, while the staff at breakfast were outstanding and check-in was efficient, the lack of attention to our special request and the room cleanliness left room for improvement.

BingTaoI had an excellent stay at G Hotel Gurney in the Executive Suite. The suite was spacious, modern, and beautifully maintained, with a comfortable bed and a great view. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Penang.
The hotel’s location is fantastic, right next to Gurney Plaza and within walking distance of many popular eateries. The staff were professional, friendly, and always willing to assist, making the entire stay even more enjoyable.
The Executive Lounge was a great addition, offering a quiet and comfortable space to unwind with complimentary refreshments. Breakfast was also excellent, with a wide selection of local and international dishes.
Overall, everything from the room quality to the service exceeded my expectations. I would definitely choose G Hotel Gurney again on my next visit to Penang and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay.

Guest UserOverall, we had a pleasant stay. The room was comfortable, and we really enjoyed the hi-tea that was delivered to our room. The breakfast was also tasty with a good selection of food.
However, one concern was the security of our room. The room we stayed in could be accessed directly from the swimming pool area, and it didn’t feel secure because it couldn’t be properly locked from the outside when we left. We felt that anyone could potentially enter from the poolside, which was quite worrying.
Another area that needs improvement is the breakfast service. While the food itself was delicious, the service at the breakfast area was noticeably lacking and could be more attentive and efficient.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but improving the room security and breakfast service would make the experience much better.

DafeiyangThe room isn't huge, but it was perfect for two people. When I checked in, I asked for a sea-view room, and the view was absolutely stunning. The hotel having a gym and a swimming pool is a huge plus! It's super convenient with a mall next door, and it was so easy to visit all the nearby attractions and try out local food spots – everything was about a 20-minute walk away. Getting to the airport takes about 30 minutes if there's no traffic. I highly recommend this place! There are water dispensers on every floor, which is great for refilling bottles. The bed isn't huge, but it's comfortable enough to sleep on. If I come back to Penang, I'd definitely choose to stay here again.

LeleeThe entire hotel features British colonial-style architecture, with very spacious and well-designed rooms.
However, the service was perfunctory. During my three-day stay, despite frequent comings and goings, the doormen were rarely at the entrance. Even when they were, they generally didn't bother to open the door and looked expressionless. I believe this falls short of the service standards expected from a hotel of this price point. The turndown service was also a disaster; the duvet was wrinkled, the slippers weren't properly placed, and my charging cable was simply tossed onto the bed. Housekeeping was also very poor. On the second day, the toothbrush wasn't neatly arranged but rather haphazardly placed on the vanity. However, the housekeeping staff on the third day did a proper job of organizing the countertop. The toothbrush provided was a cheap, hard, brittle plastic one, typical of a budget guesthouse, and very unpleasant to use. Other amenities were acceptable.
Overall, the hotel's biggest selling points are likely its scenery, historical significance, and location. Don't expect much from the service.
