The sheets are stained There is an unpleasant smell The air conditioner is loud and rattling The location of the hotel is excellent The staff is great I can't say the service is bad Food was brought to the room The Internet is relatively good, video calling, uploading videos to YouTube is fast, there were no problems with the Internet I chose this hotel because of the Internet, purely based on reviews on other sites, the Internet was important for my work. And also the location of the hotel is near the center.

I didn’t expect much from budget hotel, but they didn’t even offer some adds on options like tooth brush kit, shampoo, facial tissue, or iron and hairdryer. I chose to stay here cos the other hotel with direct connection to the Mall was full. If their business standard doesn’t improve, I don’t think I would stay here anymore.  The staffs were friendly and nice though.

Our stay in the Cool Living Hotel was good. The location was fairly central. The building itself was bright and modern and so were the rooms. But the room we stayed in was so so tiny! 2 people with luggage could barely fit into the room - allowing not too much movement. But it worked out somehow. The room got serviced every day but hygiene was just okay, not perfect. After just a short shower the whole bathroom was flooded. Also there was barely warm/hot water. But no problem to the anyways quite warm water in Jakarta. The sheets had stains on them but no animals whatsoever. The Hotel has a nice rooftop where you can also get good food for a reasonable price. All in all we were happy with the stay but wished for a bit more space and hygiene.

A short walking distance to MRT Dukuh Atas station, which has the Surdiman train station, BNI City airport train station, bus transportation hub surrounding it making it convenient to use public transportation in Jakarta. You will find plenty of food stalls and hawkers in the morning as this is the transportation hub with many people do the transfer here at pick hours. As a foreigner or tourist, we got ready with the e-money card either from the Indonesian banks or the minimart so that you just tap on the reading machine to enter MRT, LRT and public buses, very cheap option to get around in the city. Ordering Grab car to airport in the early morning at around 4:30 am was also quite fast in this area. Hotel room was a bit small, but got lift. Receptionist was helpful, we borrowed the hair dryer from him. Driking water, hot and cold is available outside the rooms.

The good: The employees were SUPER nice and VERY helpful! Location was excellent 👍 The bad: Rooms were advertised as ALL Non-Smoking, but my room had definitely been recently smoked in and cigarette smoke permeated the establishment! The room was absolutely filthy! Food, drink and or bodily fluid was splattered on multiple walls 🤮 The floor was covered with long black hairs and short curly ones too 🤢 Bathroom amenities were decent at best, and the ceiling was molded, there was also holes in both the bathroom and bedroom ceilings! Lots of flying bugs too, but never saw a cockroach. Bed sheets, pillow cases and towels were clean. Air conditioner could not be adjusted, one temperature and one speed. Cat urine permeated the hallway. Obviously, I would never stay here again!

Hujung minggu panjang memutuskan untuk staycation dengan suami walaupun sangat dekat dengan rumah. Tetapi semuanya baik-baik saja dari perkhidmatan, bilik, pemandangan, sarapan semuanya okay. Terima kasih Amaris untuk 2 hari🥰
