To be honest, it was really great and better than more expensive hotels in Beijing. I was so happy that I found the shopping street is exactly beside and also a mall is located under hotel. There are a lot of good restaurants around. There is smart toilet in the room. The staff were really kind and supportive and respectful. I would like to thank Yulia and Susan for their help. They are so well-behaved. Generally everything was great. I just hope that they can improve the quality of breakfast. 😊

Location was excellent, just a short walk from the metro station. Room was very spacious and spa was excellent. The bed was comfortable. Service was great. We found the room too warm, and the staff helpfully arranged for the top window vents to be opened (we had to sign a waiver of liability), switched off the heater. Would be great if amenities included a shaving kit and wifi was more stable. Given that more affordable boutique hotels are already providing guests complimentary access to video streaming subscription services on their TVs, a 5-star hotel like this should be able to do so as well. Overall, a very comfortable stay.

I have absolutely no regret staying at the Peninsula Beijing. Every US dollar spent here was so worth it, from bell services, check in, to the solid dining menus, to personal care, to the shopping options, to its prime location. We were minutes away from the abundance of malls, snacks, restaurants and the large pedestrian outdoor walking mall. The amenities here are amazing plenty and well staffed. Do bring your swim gear to take advantage of the pool. The staff at the pool and the spa were so friendly and extremely professional. Additionally, the check in staff were professional and patient as I was brushing up on my Mandarin skills. It felt extremely calm and welcoming. The restaurant staff were kind and definitely our superstars. Their breakfast menu covered authentic Chinese breakfast to western options.

I have stayed at many highend hotels around the world. Puxuan Beijing is absolutely one of the best one. Everything is almost perfect. Very new, super clean, very tasteful artistic design, beautiful lobby, and superb location. The service staffs are also super friendly and have been very helpfully from luggage service to all room services and also very flexible providing a little late checkout to accommodate my schedule. Will definitely stay again next time.

Very fancy hotel in great location. Our room was high up and we had amazing view of the city, as well as the sunrise. We enjoyed the happy hour deal as well, but unfortunately weren’t able to see the sunset as clearly because of the windows. The food provided at the hotel was not good, but atleast looked pretty.

This hotel is a small germ if you consider your stay at Beijing. Yes, it is a bit outside of the main city but the traffic connections towards the inner parts of Beijing is still reasonable. It is a rather quiet place to have a couple of days with the focus on relaxing when you have only a few things to do in Beijing. The set-up with a kind of traditional house structure - only two floors, square shaped outlying of the building, provides a rather friendly and easy to go feeling. The facilities are well maintained and the fountains in the central yard provide a nice addition together with the hot spring tubes. The surrounding of the artificial lake provides a nice atmosphere. Some visitors may regret that the area surrounding the hotel does not offer much. The stuff are well trained and carry out their tasks with the friendliness expected from a hotel at this level. I summary, I do not hesitate to recommend this hotel for a couple of relaxing days if you have to stay in Beijing and do not have a busy schedule at the same time.

PPengguna TetamuOur stay was wonderful. We went during the week and the overall experience was perfect. The location is quiet and tucked under a small hill with direct view to the great wall which is amazing. The room is super spacious and minimally decorated while totally functional, plus it features a scented steamer to give it a spa feel. The hot spring in the room is golden (best after a day of hiking and walking).
The hotel décor isn’t brand new, so there may be some small marks on the wall, for example, behind the mirror or by one door (speaking more about hosts who don’t take care of the facilitates than the hotel management itself). That said, everything is quite clean, and tidy, comfortable and warm. There may be one or two chilled bugs (tree bug or a small bee) visiting your room…it is the mountains after all. But they are harmless and if you cannot or prefer not to deal with them, the reception is happy to help you.
The service is excellent, plus they were so kind to gift us a warm white mushroom soup (sweet warm delicious drink/dessert-y local delicacy) to warm us up the first night. And the next day when I asked what it was, they were kind enough to offer another cup 😊
Their coffees are excellent! They have a small bar offering simple cocktails and a fridge selling other soft or alcoholic drinks like soda, juice, beer and wine (simple). The hotel set meals are honest and simple, not home-style or farm to table but rather “continental”. However, they are super flexible and accommodating with options and somewhat late orders which is very appreciated on trips when you are not 100% sure you will make it in time for dinner, etc.
They did have a local driver and offered a one-free trip from or back to the train station or another place around the area. He’s quite nice. However, if you are on a tight budget, better check with other drivers for your paid trips and compare with the hotel one to make sure you get the best value for $.
Recommend 100% yes! Foreign and Chinese customers we all seemed quite happy.
Do they speak English? I am not sure sorry. But Trip.com staff are very helpful in cross-communication and the ladies are young so they might!

PPengguna TetamuThis hotel is perfect. I stayed there during the Summer with eight friends, staying in one of the cottages, and had the best weekend possible.
And since then I’ve now taken by family there for Christmas Day. Just as good in Summer and Winter. Easy walk up to the Great Wall from the cottage. Hotel hot tub with a view of the Wall.
Christmas themed decorations, and most importantly staff were faultless. Still my favourite hotel in Beijing after years living here.

MMikeJMJonesI went for a small mini-break to escape the hustle of Beijing. I have been here before with friends. With friends and some wine this place is great. On your own it is great too... but only if you love the Hot Springs. I do. The hotel would be pointless if you don't like Hot Springs / Swimming.
My only disappointment was that, because it was mid-week, the breakfast range was tiny compared to when I came with friends on the weekend. Both the hotel and Hot Spring were much cheaper... so that was good... but I felt that they over-simplified the breakfast buffet. Somethings they had before (like jams and preserves) are sealed and have long sell-by dates... so why not put them out? Likewise, why offer only one juice... can't you offer a range but put them in smaller containers if you are worried about waste?
The Hot Springs are the clear highlight. I highly recommend going after dark. Tickets seem valid for 24 hours, so I went for a few hours daytime, then back to the room, then again after dark. At night it was so peaceful.

QQuin56Review: Stay Home
This trip was like an encounter with prehistoric man and a case study of a failed business combined.
If you book a standard room, you will be taken away from the five star reception area to another building which has the decor and standards of a thirty year old hotel. Faded carpets, peeling walls, smelly interiors, uncleaned floors and rooms which are impossible to heat. But it was just about liveable, in that it had a bed and hot water. What totally failed to impress were the amenities. We'd come for the children's stuff, the little zoo, water park and others. The price of these are not included in the hotel, and for each experience they charge adults and baby to the tune of 80rmb, meaning you will spend quite a bit to use it all. As soon as I saw the children's rides I became depressed, they were rusting and looked murderous, as if the nuts and bolts would be dislodged and explode fatally in all directions if a kid shook too heavily on the things. To even use anything suggested you'd become unclean as well. Then you attempt to ask staff something but stop when you realise how futile it would be to address someone with one eye in its forehead and the other in its chin, with their peers boasting similarly fascinating facial misalignments. An hour of that and we wanted to leave, including our baby. She would have been much happier at home playing with her toys, or rather just happy at home doing anything than being at the Nirvana resort. Anyway, the swimming pool is not free either, they will charge you 58 a person including child. When I went to ask about a swim, staff were downright stunned I'd walked in to ask such a question, watching as I entered and left with hillbilly intensity and incomprehension.
You can see the park had a lot of money invested in it before, way back in the misty past, but I can't see them recouping their losses. The resort is a grab money scheme with separate interests taking care of, or neglecting, what is on offer. I can't see them attracting a moneyed middle class without a total overhaul.
On the plus side, my wife and I did have a good laugh about how bad it was and the fact we'd packed for a few days in expectation of a holiday, but found ourselves cancelling after an hour. The reception was helpful with this and refunded our money. The staff are well meaning in a vacuous kind of way, going about their duties as the whole place drops about them, broken lifts, falling plaster, water leaks and all. But to be sincerely positive, the gardens are pleasant along with the lake and ducks.
TTathiMy husband and I had a lovely stay at the resort as it was our wedding anniversary, the hotel provided us a big bouquet which was very gentle. The communication was quite challenging as they only speak Chinese but Feng Bo, which was the person doing our check-in, was very patient and tried his best to understand and please us. He showed us few options as we were considering upgrading to another room and there are some huge ones, in the end we decided to stay with the ”mountain view” and just asked for an upper floor. Breakfast was quite good, many Chinese options (fried noodles, fried rice, a variety of Chinese buns, porridge, vegetables) also toast with jam, fruits, juices and iogurt, we liked it.
There are reduced hours for lunch and dinner so you should plan in advance and menus in Chinese (which again Feng Bo offered to explain and translate if we needed help).
We felt very welcome, the hotsprings are great and both resort and hotsprings are fully staffed with caring and friendly people. Nanshao subway is maybe 15 minutes from there, you can get a Didi.
The room is just like the pictures.

VValerie GailThe hotel room was very basic with no coffee machine and a crappy hair dryer. I tried to use the clothes line in the shower to dry the kid's swim suits, but it didn't reach the other side of the wall and just snapped off in my hand.
The staff in the hotel are polite and helpful, but the staff in the hotsprings aren't so nice. I actually chose this hotel because the outside pools looked fun for kids, but it turns out it's part of a separate hotsprings area which isn't free for hotel guests. My husband and 2 month old had to buy a ticket to accompany my eldest and I even though they weren't using the facilities. Then, we only stayed outside for 30 minutes because we were eaten by mosquitoes. Avoid the outdoor hotsprings this time of year unless you don't mind mosquito bites. Extremely disappointed.
