NNiNi_Bo_BeenieThis place is the most amazing hotel I've ever stayed at and I truly believe all hotels should be modelled after this one. The place is clean and spacious both in the lobby area and the room itself. I stayed in the superior queen room & opted to add the breakfast option (yummy btw). I forgot to take pictures of the actual room but trust when I say it looks exactly like the provided photos. The bed is soft & has both a firm & soft pillow options. The comforter is clean & fluffy. The tv is huge and of great quality though forewarning it only provides Chinese tv/apps but it still worked out for me because they were airing the 2026 fifa matches for free. There is a switch board next to the bed that controls the lighting and curtains. There are several types of lighting that range from dim/ comfortable to fully bright. There's both heavy set curtains and gauze curtains that allow light through while maintaining privacy. The tea set up next to the window is cute/quaint though tbh I didn't use it since. There is also an iPad next to the bed that you can use to contact the front desk or control the room with but it only understands Mandarin so I didn't use it. The room not only has an A/C unit but also a dehumidifier which is great for escaping that hot humid Shenzhen weather. The ac you do have to turn on manually (located next to door) but it runs great and works quickly. Moving on, the toilet area has a switch for the exhaust fan just outside the door which is very nice that it's not connected with the light switch that way it can stay running even if the lights are off. The toilet itself is a cool modern bidet that flushes automatically, with the remote, or with the button at the bottom that u tap with your feet to flush. Now the shower is my favorite part of this whole room. It has 4 different faucets all with great water pressure, and of those, 3/4 had different ”modes”. The shower water gets hot almost immediately and stays hot too! Water never got cold on me even once and I take long showers (45 min- 1hr)! The controls to the shower may look confusing but actually it's really simple. The right hand lever pulls out & that will allow water flow. The right hand lever can also be adjusted up/down to control water temperature. The buttons on the left hand side control which faucet the water will come out of so just fiddle with it & see which one you like best. They do provide soap/shampoo/ conditioner & certain toiletries but I opted to buy some different shampoo/conditioner as I have long wavy hair that wasnt compatible. The sink area had a large mirror with led lights inside which was great for make up. There was also a large body mirror as well directly next to the sink.
Moving on, they had great amenities such as a laundry room (not free fyi and you need to buy your own detergent) with an ironing board and a steamer, a gym, yummy breakfast, free wifi, cute cats that live at the hotel, and an AMAZING location! Seriously the location could not get any better. I was literally a 2 block walk from nantou ancient city, a musuem, and 2 different rail way lines. In addition to this there are conviemce stores, small grocery stores, street food, fast food, coffee, and more just within walking distance (less than 5 min). There's even a fancy highly rated restaurant attached to the hotel itself. This was my first time visiting china and having such a great home base to stay at was such a pleasure and a relief. Lastly the staff was friendly and helpful and while none of them really speak fluent English that's okay because this is china and I really wasn't expecting them to in the first place so with that in mind make sure y'all got yalls translator apps on deck because once that language barrier is out of the way they really are so helpful/kind and always greet you when you're walking in too!
I highly recommend this hotel and honestly miss it now that I'm gone. Hope this review helps anyone who's on the fence! You won't regret it!

6. Can do laundry and detergent is provided
7. There's a small exercise area with a walking pad, steps and dumbbells if you wanna work out
There's a porridge supper from 8pm-12am
There's a lot of food options nearby
Negatives:
1. Not a major problem but there's no drop off/pick up point for cars. Need to watch for traffic when crossing to get to the didi. But I realize it's quite common in China for mid range hotels.
2. Room soundproofing was ok, mostly quiet when we stayed. Day time can hear the car horns, but night time is nice and quiet, great for sleep

位置離地鐵很近，出行吃飯超方便，小區安保嚴密，出入密碼鎖，晚上回來也安心。全屋打掃得很到位，衞生間沒有異味，床品更換及時，床鋪乾淨清爽。每個床位都有遮光簾、獨立插座和帶鎖櫃子，拉上簾子就是私人空間，不會被打擾。
公共區域配備洗衣機、熱水、桌椅，日常簡單做飯、辦公都沒問題。老闆人實在，有需求迴應很快，還會分享周邊通勤、吃飯好去處。同住的大多是安靜靠譜的年輕人，作息互不幹擾，性價比拉滿，短期過渡首選，下次來深圳還住這！

PPengguna TetamuMarriott memang tak pernah mengecewakan saya. Kemewahan warisan yang ada pada lokasi yang sudah lama ini sentiasa mengagumkan, dan pengalaman keseluruhan tetap memukau. Walaupun sudah beroperasi bertahun-tahun, ia kekal seperti baru, tanpa sebarang tanda usang. Perinciannya halus dan di samping itu ia mempunyai sejarah yang menarik, suasana mewah yang sederhana membuatkan seseorang ingin berehat dan tinggal lama di sini. Ruang hotel dihiasi dengan teliti, seolah-olah berada di koridor masa, dengan suasana yang sangat memukau. Selain itu, yang patut dipuji ialah layanan kakitangan yang mesra dan selesa, perkhidmatan sepanjang masa yang teliti dan penuh perhatian, menjadikan pengalaman ini sangat hebat. Satu-satunya kekecewaan kecil ialah sedikit kekurangan dalam perincian pembersihan, beberapa sudut tidak cukup bersih, sedikit mencacatkan pengalaman. Namun, kualiti keseluruhannya sangat baik, kekurangannya tidak menjejaskan keindahan keseluruhannya. Ia tetap menjadi tempat berharga yang patut dikunjungi berulang kali, dan saya berharap agar perinciannya dapat diperbaiki lagi pada masa hadapan.

There are hotels you visit, and then there are hotels that leave an imprint on your soul. The Mandarin Oriental, Shenzhen, belongs firmly and unequivocally in the latter category. From the moment I stepped into its soaring lobby, I knew this would be one of those stays that redefines what luxury hospitality means.
Arrival and Reception
First impressions matter, and the reception team at the Mandarin Oriental understands this with an almost intuitive grace. Jason Zhu greeted me with the kind of warmth that felt less like a rehearsed welcome and more like being received by an old friend who just happens to have impeccable professional instincts. His attention to detail was extraordinary — he had noted my preferences before I could voice them, and the check-in process was so seamless it barely registered as a process at all. Sicily and Marsh were equally outstanding, always present at just the right moments with a smile, a helpful suggestion, or a thoughtful gesture. Together, the three of them set a tone of effortless elegance that carried through every hour of my stay. In a city as fast-paced and forward-looking as Shenzhen, there is something deeply reassuring about a reception team that makes you feel as though time has slowed down just for you.
The Club Skyline View Room
If the lobby whispered luxury, the Club Skyline View Room declared it in full voice. Perched high above the glittering sprawl of Shenzhen, the room offered a panorama that genuinely stopped me in my tracks. Floor-to-ceiling windows framed the city's dazzling skyline — a forest of illuminated towers stretching toward the horizon, the lights of Futian and beyond shimmering like an earthbound constellation. I found myself drawn to the window repeatedly, at golden hour, at twilight, and again in the deep hours of the night, each time discovering a different mood and a different kind of beauty.
The room itself was a masterclass in refined design. The palette was calm and sophisticated, with rich textures and thoughtful layering that felt contemporary yet timeless in the way the Mandarin Oriental has always done best. The bed was, simply put, superb — the kind of bed that makes you reconsider every mattress you have ever slept on and find them all wanting. Linens were crisp and impossibly soft. The bathroom was a sanctuary of marble and glass, generously appointed with the brand's signature amenities, and the soaking tub positioned near the window offered what might be one of the finest bathing experiences in southern China. Every detail, from the lighting controls to the turndown service to the quiet hum of climate perfection, spoke of a property that understands the difference between filling a room with expensive things and creating a genuine sense of place and comfort.
The Mandarin Club
Accessing the Mandarin Club elevated an already exceptional stay into something truly rarefied. The lounge itself is a beautifully curated space — serene, sophisticated, and blessed with those same sweeping skyline views that make this property so special. But what transforms the Club from a lovely room with good canapés into a genuinely memorable experience is its people.
Chelsea Zhou is a revelation and deserves a special mention. Her hospitality instincts are pitch-perfect; she anticipated needs I hadn't yet articulated, and managed to be attentive without ever being intrusive — a balance that even the finest hotels in the world struggle to achieve. Priscilla Pang was equally impressive, radiating a genuine kindness and professionalism that made every interaction a pleasure. Whether it was the afternoon tea service, or the evening menu and cocktails, Chelsea and Priscilla ensured that every moment in the Club felt personal, polished, and quietly luxurious. I returned to the lounge far more often than I had planned, not just for the excellent food and drink,
