"Facilities: The room isn't small for Japan, and it cleverly utilizes every corner. You can open your suitcase without obstructing the walkway. Cleanliness: If you want your sheets changed daily, you can place the change card on the bed. However, there's always a lingering smell in the bathroom and toilet. Environment: Located in the Sakae shopping district, it's super convenient for shopping. You can use the underground mall to reach major department stores when it's raining or hot. The hotel is in the Chunichi Building, and the Montbell store on the 2nd floor offers tax refunds and has a good selection of goods. Service: The front desk staff always greet you when you pass by. The room view is excellent."

"Exit 4 of Hisaya-Odori Station on the subway is the closest, but there are no escalators or elevators to ground level, so it might be difficult with heavy luggage. I stayed here because I had a live show at the Aichi Prefectural Arts Theater. It's within walking distance, and there's an underground shopping mall (Central Park) across from Exits 3 and 4 (Otsu-dori) on Hisaya-Odori, which connects to Sakae Station and has a variety of shops, so it's safe even in the rain. Nagoya Castle is also within walking distance, so the location was excellent. My single, non-smoking room was fully equipped (desk, chair, kettle, folding mirror, desk lamp, etc.). There was an outlet by the bedside, and the room light could be turned on and off with a remote control. There was also a standby light, so even those who don't like complete darkness would have no problem. Welcome drinks were available until late at night, and I didn't use the kettle in the room. There were several types of tea and three types of soup. Since it's Nagoya, breakfast isn't necessary. For 800 yen, it was pretty reasonable. There were four types of bread: the salted butter roll and croissant, which were the same for both days, but the other two were different. The boiled rice* was delicious, with a nice salty flavor and a soft yolk. The curry was filling and packed with vegetables. All the staff were very nice, and overall I would recommend this hotel."

The location is very convenient, within walking distance to Sakae station, shopping areas, and many restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable, Like most business hotels in Japan, the room size is a bit small, but it was still manageable for two people with luggage. The staff were polite and helpful, and the check-in process was smooth. The hotel also felt quiet and safe at night, which made the stay more comfortable. Overall, it is a good value hotel with a great location in Nagoya. I would recommend it for travelers who want a clean and convenient place to stay in the Sakae area."

"The check-in process was a bit of a hassle. It was my first time staying at a motel in Japan, and I wasn't familiar with the procedures. When I got to the front desk, there wasn't a single staff member, which I understand, as motels are usually quite secluded. However, the front desk didn't provide any instructions on how to check in. I wandered around for a while before finally finding a phone next to the machine in the exit corridor (since the entry and exit corridors are separate). I tried calling it, and thankfully someone answered immediately. I told them I was there to check in, and someone quickly came to help me… This was a great experience, and I'm so glad I found that phone; otherwise, I don't know how long I would have had to wait to check in…"

"The hotel is located about 1.5km from Nagoya JR Station, roughly a 15-minute walk. The standard room with a 1.3-meter double bed is quite small, especially the bathroom, which is even smaller than those at Toyoko Inn. The facilities are a bit old, but the free natural hot spring (available from 3:00 PM to 9:00 AM) is a definite highlight. I visited during the Emperor's Birthday long weekend, so prices were higher than usual and rooms were scarce. When I went for a hot spring bath around 9:00 PM, I even had to queue to shower. Many locals also choose this hotel."

"hotel room was pretty spacious which i really liked! interior was nice too! amenties provided at level 2 front desk were also pleasant! staff was always very sweet and helpful with requests/help! the toilet had a remote control bidet which i saw for the first time which i found to be very funny! AHAHAHAHA location is also really great! js like a VERY. like 20-30 meters walk to the nearest station entrance/exit (which is exit 2! google maps told me 3 when i first arrived but exit 2 is literally js outside the hotel turn left and you can see it) i dont usually write reviews cus im lazy but i enjoyed my stay so much! would definitely book comfort inn again when i come back to japan!"
