PPengguna Tetamu一般是不評價的，但是入住體驗非常不錯。首先是老闆，真的很細心，提前就詢問我們各種，知道我們是自駕並且開電車，提前把自己的車堵在充電口停車位以防別人來停，周邊車位緊張的情況下我們到了也能立馬停車。其次房間，我們訂的套房，看圖片其中一個房間本以為會很小，但是兩間都很大，並且衞生環境設施真的無可挑剔，百分之90商家客房圖片都會貨不對版，但他們家真的很真實。最後來説位置和服務，位置出街就是一整條小吃街，想吃什麼都有了，離南門很近，其次老闆人很好，很細心，我們聊的很投機，知道我的愛好後還給送了對我來説很珍貴的禮物。兩衹小貓也真的很好擼。總之鎖死。沒得挑。

JJovin_WongI had an absolutely wonderful stay at Dali Ancient Town Meishan Guesthouse, and it exceeded my expectations in every possible way.
Location – unbeatable and worry-free
The location is extremely convenient, right in the heart of Dali Ancient Town. As soon as you step outside, you’re surrounded by beautiful ancient streets and alleys, full of local character. 2-3 mins walk away from the Bars. Attractions, cafes, shops, and amazing food are all within walking distance, which made exploring incredibly easy and stress-free. From check-in to check-out, the entire stay felt completely worry-free.
Service – warm, genuine, and unforgettable
The biggest highlight of this guesthouse is without a doubt the host. The lady boss is unbelievably friendly, considerate, and welcoming. She is super nice, enthusiastic, and very meticulous in everything she does. From contacting me in advance, patiently explaining routes, to sharing travel tips and local suggestions, she made me feel taken care of even before I arrived. Staying here truly felt like coming home rather than staying at a guesthouse.
What made this stay truly special was the personal connection. She even invited me to join a barbecue with her and her friends. We had drinks, chatted late into the night, and shared stories about our cultures, life views, and experiences. Even though I only stayed for two nights, that evening made my time in Dali unforgettable. I felt incredibly lucky to have arrived back just in time for the barbecue.
The Bai Jiu, the Yi Zu-style barbecue pork, and the homemade dumplings she made were all fantastic. The atmosphere was relaxed, warm, and full of laughter. Even small details were fun, like the pot cover shaped like the Rolls-Royce Spirit of Ecstasy, which gave us a good laugh. It was one of those nights you don’t plan for, but it’s the highlight of the trip that you will remember for a long time. 😎
Room & Sleep Quality – quiet, comfortable, and well designed
The room itself was quiet and very comfortable, with good sound insulation and a thoughtful renovation design that blends modern comfort with traditional charm. The bedding was clean and high quality, and the bathroom was spotless and well equipped. I slept extremely well every night. The entire guesthouse is beautifully designed, cozy, and relaxing, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring.
Value – exquisite and worth every penny
This is a highly cost-effective and exquisite accommodation. You can see the attention to detail everywhere, from the design to the service. It perfectly balances the charm of the ancient town with modern convenience. It’s absolutely worth experiencing, and I would not hesitate to stay here again on my next trip.
Final thoughts
I returned home a few days ago, but when I think back on my trip to Yunnan, Dali still stands out as the most chill and relaxing place and Meishan Guesthouse is a big reason why. The friendly host, the warm atmosphere, and the meaningful conversations made this stay truly special.
If I could give 11 stars, I would. Hands down one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Highly, highly recommended. Will definitely be back!!!

JjessicazengBeautiful area right by the lake. Yes, a disadvantage being remote from the city areas (not walkable), but if you want to enjoy the serenity of waking up right by the lake, this is a great choice! I loved how our first-floor room had a view of the lake - very close by! Also, you can see the sunrise from this side of the lake! Very peaceful in the mornings.
We coordinated with the guesthouse via Wechat beforehand, and they even helped arrange a complimentary pickup with a driver from the train station (since we were staying 3 nights). Later, we also arranged a full day with the driver to drive down Haidong (east side) from Shuanglang ancient town and southward, which was worth it, since otherwise it'd be hard to get to those locations. Cars cannot come to the guesthouse area, so the guesthouse drove a little cart to pick us and our luggage up; they also helped us when we departed. Didi from this area (from a spot ~100-200m away) takes a bit of time for the drivers to come in, but not too long.
The breakfast was lightly spicy mi xian noodles, served by some aunties, with condiments like pickled vegetables, also corn, hard-boiled eggs, and banana available.
I would also recommend taking time to bike along the lake - it seems there's an option to rent one for 20RMB somewhere but I couldn't find the location. A more convenient option (good for shorter bike rides) are the many shared bikes that can be scanned along the lake. If you go northward by foot or bike along the lake, there are many other guesthouses and nice cafes (including some very popular, picture-perfect wang hong cafes), along with some green fields that are nice to check out.
Behind the guesthouse is a small village area; we walked here and got a late lunch on one of the days, but there doesn't seem to be as many options.
Traveled here with my mom, and we were quite satisfied. I feel that relaxing inside the hotel and nearby is already pretty nice. Great stay with helpful staff!

PPengguna Tanpa NamaWe had a very great stay at Licheng Resort Hotel! The staff and boss were very responsive and helpful throughout our stay, making everything smooth and comfortable.
The location is excellent just a short walk to Dali Ancient City, very convenient yet still peaceful.
They prepared the specific room type we requested, and the room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. We especially loved that the bathroom has an automatic bidet, such a great detail! Breakfast was delicious and satisfying as well.
They kindly received our packages on our behalf, which was very helpful. We also had an issue with our charger adaptor, and they generously lent us theirs. On top of that, they arranged an early morning drop-off to the station for us, which we truly appreciated.
Overall, a fantastic stay with warm hospitality. Highly recommended!

PPengguna TetamuI initially stayed for one night and loved it so much that I returned for three more nights. This boutique hotel beautifully blends traditional artistic design with modern comfort, right on the shores of Erhai Lake.
The hotel is run solely by the owner, whose genuine warmth and personal attention make all the difference—from the warm welcome upon arrival to casual morning chats over coffee.
Location-wise, it's perfectly situated in Shuanglang, easily accessible and right by Erhai Lake. It's very close to Shuanglang Ancient Town, with plenty of cafes and restaurants lining the streets.
Every corner of the hotel is thoughtfully designed with artistic touches and traditional Bai ethnic elements that are incredibly photogenic. The interior combines traditional features with modern accents, creating a warm, aesthetic atmosphere—exactly what you'd expect from a quality boutique hotel.
True to its name ”Seaview Courtyard,” the lake views are spectacular, especially during sunset. The peaceful location lets you enjoy the tranquility of Erhai and the changing colors of the sky right from the hotel.
The rooms are designed for maximum comfort with complete modern amenities:

Ddeci16I cannot recommend Sunyata Homestay in Dali enough! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this was more than just a place to stay—it was an experience of genuine warmth and care. The rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable, providing a serene escape after long days of exploring. The afternoon tea and breakfast they served were nothing short of extraordinary. I’ve stayed in multiple 4-5 star hotels across China over the past month, but the gourmet food here easily surpassed them all. Every bite was thoughtfully prepared, leaving me in awe of the flavors and quality.
The location of Sunyata Homestay is also perfect. It’s just far enough from the bustling crowds to remain peaceful and quiet, yet close enough to Dali Ancient City that it’s only a few steps away from great eateries and the heart of the ancient town. The balance is ideal for anyone seeking convenience without sacrificing tranquility.
A special shout-out to the young lady working in the coffee shop up front—her coffee is unparalleled! My husband, who is a daily coffee drinker and rarely impressed, couldn’t stop raving about her brews. It was, hands down, the best coffee we had during our travels.
The staff here deserve every bit of praise. They were attentive, accommodating, and genuinely cared about making our stay memorable. However, what truly sets Sunyata apart is the incredible owner. My father had a bad accident in Dali on a rainy day, and I can honestly say I don’t know what I would have done without his support. Despite my limited Mandarin, he spent an entire day accompanying me to the hospital, ensuring we were well cared for and understood. The next day, he went out of his way to pick up the CT scans for us. His kindness and compassion left me speechless.
The owner’s dedication to his guests is reflected in his amazing team, all of whom go above and beyond. Without his help, I would have had to cut my trip to China short. Instead, he turned a difficult situation into one where we felt supported and cared for like family.
Sunyata Homestay is truly one of a kind, and I will forever be grateful for their hospitality. This is not just a place to stay; it’s a haven of comfort, care, and culinary delights. Thank you, Sunyata, for everything!

先説衞生，完全挑不出一點毛病。客房地面、衞生間邊角都擦得乾乾淨淨，床品柔軟無異味，毛巾、洗漱用品擺放整齊，公共小院也每天清掃，能看得出來老闆是真的細心，不是隨便應付打掃。
環境我真的太愛了，自帶獨立小院，安安靜靜完全聽不到街上喧鬧。頂樓還有觀景露台，抬頭就能看見整片蒼山，早晚的風景都絕了，沒事坐在院子裏吹風發呆特別治癒。
硬件設施配置很有質感，全屋配套都很新，床墊軟硬適中睡得特別香，衞浴乾濕分離，熱水出水又快又足，各種日用小件配備齊全，住起來特別省心。
最加分的是服務！老闆和店長待人温和又貼心，不會過度打擾但有需求隨叫隨到。每天都會準備手工下午茶，咖啡、蛋糕、水果全都免費，都是現做的味道超棒，旅途的疲憊靠這份温柔直接治癒。
不管是獨自出行還是和家人朋友一起來都很合適，性價比拉滿，已經推薦給身邊要來大理的朋友，下次再來古城一定還住這裏！
