Fantastic all round stay from the time we checked in till the time we checked out.The hotel is situated in a side street in the middle of faro, but don't let looks fool you as once you enter in the hotels very modern. Greeted with a helpful smiling reception after a grueling time getting through customs was a god send, in the room itself b oth the bedroom and bathroom were clean and spacious Only negative, just black tea available in the room, so all you coffee lovers might want to bring your own as well as a drop of milk if required. Help yourself buffet style breakfast which was amazing with a large selection of both hot or cold available and tea, coffee or juices are here too all at a moderate price. I've just booked a room on the return journey so happy days.

Pleasantly surprised , from the. Outside this hotel looks disappointing, couldn’t even see the hotel name. But the staff were friendly, the room was clean and very comfortable, and the breakfast had plenty of of options and very nice. The location was perfect. Would stay again.

For a 3 star hotel this is excellent. We had to check out of our villa at 10am - but with a late evening flight home we needed somewhere to dump our cases and enjoy a pool somewhere for the day. We booked this (had to phone due to strange check in/out that we needed) we booked the room from 10am-7pm , obviously we had to be charged for the full day (80 euros) what a bargain! We weren't expecting much but we are pleasantly surprised (writing this sat by the peaceful pool ). Room is large and very clean - can't vouch for.comfort of bed as we won't be sleeping in them). This would make a great, value for money, base and you wouldn't be disappointed with pool and bar - we were feeling a bit deflated coming from a beautiful villa with private pool to a small hotel - but we love it! Staff are very helpful and friendly. If your looking for a good value hotel - this is it!

Pro - la lavanderia aperta 24h - la pulizia impeccabile e il silenzio - La macchinetta del caffe aperta 24h - posto auto coperto Contro - si potrebbe fare molto di più sulla colazione - la posizione; con bolt o un auto a noleggio risolvete il problema

Please be careful with what kind of accommodation you book, I made the mistake of booking a “twin room” for my elderly parents, it was the most basic of rooms and the only outside space was a tiny triangle of patio at the front of the flat (see pics) my parents had to ask for seats so they could sit out there. Again this is my fault NOT the hotel but I thought I needed to add this in for people who might be thinking of booking the budget room. Cons - The restaurant - if you want to eat at the restaurant you won’t be able to see what’s available on the menu until you have been seated, which can lead to embarrassment if like myself you're allergic to onions and everything on the menu seemed to contain onion so I had to get up in front of everyone and explain to the staff why I was leaving! I asked if there was an alternative which there was but was told if I wanted this I had to pay, having already paid for half board accommodation I found this to be very unfair as it’s an allergy not a choice.! I would suggest that in future to save any embarrassment you would put up the evenings menu where people can make a choice before entering the restaurant. The room itself was very basic no kettle meaning no options to make yourself a drink when wanted. The shower screen was leaking, had someone come out to fix this twice but it was still leaking and so had to keep putting towels on floor. No shuttle bus from hotel to town/beach as advertised on their website. Apparently it finished at the end of their season which isn’t what it said when I booked the holiday and the hotel was fully booked so really can’t understand why it wasn’t running. As other people have stated in these comments the pool chairs were filthy there were some really awful ones full of black stuff!! Pros- A choice of 2 swimming pools, the complex as a whole was very nice like a little village. The reception staff were very helpful and polite.

Nice stuff and a really good experience in check in check out. The hotel is located close to the city centre and has an honest price. It's not the newest, as the floor and bathroom should be renovated but it's not so important if you are looking for a good, safe, cleaned place to stay for a very convenient price.

The hotel was centrally located and the rooms were small but clean. We had to leave the hotel every morning before breakfast (they start serving at 0800). However the staff allowed us to get a cup of coffee and some cold food before we left. My biggest complaint is two-fold. The minor issue first-our in room instant coffee and cups were not replenished (I’m sure we could have gotten more if we asked). But the major complaint was the water pressure. We felt lucky to get the soap rinsed off in the shower. And because of the low water pressure, toilet paper was difficult to flush. When we addressed this with the staff, not much was said but we left with the impression that some type of low flow regulator had been installed. For the water pressure alone, we would not return.

Just got back from staying here, hotel was nice enough, rooms were really spacious. All the staff were really friendly, one staff member I will mention, Gil was really friendly nothing was too much trouble for him. Ideally located to the ***** just a 10-15 minute walk and a short taxi right to the old town.

Having stayed here many times before, I was not disappointed when I stayed again for 9 nights this month. Hotel comfortable, good breakfast and great helpful staff. The hotel being on the edge of the city enjoys views of the castle etc. across the valley. I have never driven in Portugal but there is a railway station only a little way from the hotel, but up a hill, and you can travel to many places by train at very reasonable prices on the Algarve as far as the Portuguese/Spanish border one way and as far as Lagos the other way with many stops in between. Bus services are also quite good.

The hotel has perfect location for the Albufeira just on old town the beach just behind the hotel ,15mins walk to the to city center where the big supermarket cafes shopping center the room so brigth and big enough plus kettle tea and coffee,water ,the only down side is there is bars with very loud music is bite problem,I high recommend .

When we checked in everything seemed okay until we got to our room. The room was way smaller than what was shown in the pictures on ***********, for the type of room we booked. They definitely gave us a smaller room than what we paid for. Apart from that, 4 (!) lamps in our room were broken and hanging loose from the wall and ceiling, exposing the electrical wires. The bathroom had mold in it, the showerhead was broken and the cup provided in the bathroom wasn't clean at all. We went to the front desk the same evening. The owner told us she didn't know about this (we later found out they just didn't care). She told us she could call maintenance the day after. They didn't have any other rooms available. And we had to come back again the day after. She didn't seem to wanna help us/care at all. The next day we talked to this other member of staff who offered moving us to one of their other properties in the city. She asked us to come back again the next morning. The next morning we spoke to someone different again about us being moved to the different property. Suddenly there was a different room available in the same property. When we got to the room we came to the conclusion that this was the room type we actually paid for. We also found out that they put new people in our old room without fixing anything. Overall the service was very disappointing and we weren't the only ones with problems. We also overheard other guests complaining at the front desk. The hotel also didn't offer any breakfast service even though they do mention this on ***********. The rooftop bar also wasn't open and there wasn't any other food or drinks service provided apart from a communal hostel kitchen. The rooms don't have hotel basics like a mini fridge, a safe and a kettle for tea. You can definitely get a better room somewhere else for a better price.

Exactly the type of hotel you expect for an airport Hotel - clean, convenient, good night sleep. Hotel is literally next door to the airport - 10 minute walk with foot path right to the airport doors. We walked with our 3 big suitcases and no issues. Room plenty big and clean. Comfortable bed, good night sleep. Amazing water pressure in the shower. Nice little balcony. Pool area has sun lounges and a little seating area so was lovely to chill out for a bit. Faro marina with all of the restaurants is only a 10 minute drive away which we ubered at €5.50 per way. Highly recommend if landing in very late at night or if you have a very early morning flight.

離車站有點遠，一路拖箱子比較痛苦。外面沒有牌子，要注意看門牌號才能找到。應該是新開的，人不多，很安靜，房間還不錯，廚房有基本設施，包括熱水壺，微波爐，鍋等等。衞生間很乾凈，沒有洗髮水浴液。一開始通向陽台的門鎖不上，後來不知道怎麼鼓搗給鎖上了，又打不開了。早餐很簡單，一片麪包，兩片火腿，一杯咖啡。總體來説還可以。

I stayed from the 1st of February 2025 until the 7th with my son,the host was wonderful,Sr Francisco was very helpful,he sounds like a very lovely person,he organised our transfers to get picked up from the airport and to be taken to the airport,the transfer driver was so lovely too,very helpful and kind,we could check in early as we landed early,when we checked out ,the wonderful host has allowed us to leave our luggages in the property as we had a late flight,we spent a lovely last few hours in Faro without having to carry the luggages with us all day,I loved the property and the Portuguese traditional details of the property,it is a typical Algarve house which I love,and very historical also,it has a lovely terrace upstairs to relax soaking up the sun,the only thing I would like to have would be a mirror in the bedroom,the only mirror was in the shower room,as it is a shared bathroom we have to wait for someone to finish having a shower so we can get ready ourselves,if we have to go out then that delays us,some guests don’t really leave the shower room as clean as they found it,but this isn’t the staff or the hosts fault,I think people should have conscience really and leave the sink and shower and the toilet clean after using it,this was a very different experience for us to stay in a place where toilet facilities are shared,we will still come back as we did enjoy,beds are comfortable and as the name of this guesthouse says it is very cosy indeed,overall as I say above it was a lovely experience and the host was so lovely I cannot praise him enough and I totally recommend the lovely cosy guest house in Faro,thank you very much Sr Francisco for the lovely hospitality which makes up for everything,Regards Luisa Moreira

We stayed here for one night as it’s close to the airport and meant that we could explore a bit of Faro before we left Portugal. It’s in a really good spot, close to the marina and the hotel was easy to find. Rooms are very clean and provide all the amenities you would need, including really good air conditioning!

just perfect in every way from the hotel, location , breakfast to the great staff . will most definitely be returning . Great restaurants all around , lovely promenade and very clean beach with shaded beds run by the hotel. quiet and peaceful resort . Hotel & resort was everything we hoped it would be, Simon

The hotel is situated a short walk from the centre of Loule. It is a nice, clean hotel with lovely decor and friendly staff. Our room was big, clean and comfortable. The breakfast had a wide variety of choice and was tasty. The only real drawback is the view from our room was uninspiring. Overall, I would definitely stay again and would recommend it.

Atendimento perfeito. Funcionários super educados e simpáticos. Quarto muito bom. Estava tudo em perfeita ordem. Pequeno almoço com boa variedade. Com certeza irei indicar o Hotel Altismar. Sem contar o custo benefício, que foi excelente.

Was couple nights spent in Alte Hotel. I am so happy. Lovely stuff ,kind, friendly. Special want to say big thank you to Reception girl Patricia Also Waitress Jenny and another lovely guy, can't remember name. They absolutely amazing. Food in hotel fresh and really tasty. The housekeeping stuff was lovely too. Thank you, Thank you 10_10. Will go definitely again. Really Recommend this lovely place xx

We love this place and have been coming here for years. Always book an apartment rather than a studio as you get at least one, sometimes two, generous terraces to sit out on. IN November 2024 we had superb weather for 6 out of 7 days. The pool area has been refurbished with more accessibility, and other improvements made. The snack bar was not open so late in the year, but the minibus service still operates and the restaurant (very plain food) was available in the evenings. A Spar minimarket is within a short walk, well stocked and with a very nice coffee and ice cream cafe attached. Within a 10 minute stroll is a large (for Portugal) new Pingo Doce which is a real boon for the self caterer. Friendly reception staff as always and immaculately kept rooms with daily cleaning. Great value aparthotel...we will be back! PS look out for hoopoes foraging in the gardens, charming long beaked migratory birds.

We had a lovely stay here. The room and hotel were all very clean. The 2 pools were fantastic. The breakfast was great and had a decent selection to choose from. The hotel does not have a bar as advertised, it is just a small fridge with little to choose from. Hotel is a little out the way, however easy to get ubers into the centre/airport. Everything was great about our stay until our experience on the last morning with the man on the 24 hour reception at early hours of the morning. Started shouting and moaning at us for waking him up by using the phone at the reception that was provided. Spoke to us in an very unacceptable manner and was completely out of order and unhelpful. A bitter end to an otherwise lovely stay.

Gorgeous hotel, very close to 2 beaches, walking distance to *****, but not so close that you can hear all the parties! Room was lovely, cocktails very good, staff very friendly & welcoming! Only thing I would comment less that 5/5 is there was almost no vegan options at the breakfast, which was a shame as we had paid for breakfast included and I couldn’t eat much! Anyway other than that amazing hotel, will definitely stay here again!

Todo muy bien, lo mejor es la ubicacion donde se encuentra se sitúa en el mejor sitio de Albufeira en todo el centro alrededor de discotecas bares pares todo un lujo la zona después el desayuno muy bien pastelitos de chocolate fruta zumo esprimido beicon, el colchón súper cómodo tiene climatizador la habitación pantalla plana y balcón con vistas a todo el mello de la fiesta con cristales insonorizados todo un lujo volveré😃😃

Posizione ottima per l’accesso al mare (spiaggia di Albufeira ) e alle scogliere . Centro raggiungibile in 15m attraverso la spiaggia ma anche con un bus navetta gratuito fornito dall’hotel. Bella piscina ( freddina per la stagione ) .Ottima colazione e buffet abbastanza variabile con orari prolungati.Struttura un po’ datata in particolare la camera ( climatizzatore dei vicini un po’rumoroso e necessità di qualche revisione)

Clean hotel with 24hr reception, you will need €150 refundable cash deposit which *********** don't tell you about. Balcony with garden view, kitchenette was well equipped, clean and functional, there was no corkscrew to open wine bottles (Portuguese don't do screw caps) no spatulas or non stick frying pan so fried eggs were a disaster. TV, dining table & chairs and 2 seat sofa bed in lounge. Beds comfortable but bathroom was looking tired, that said shower was hot & powerful. Pool area was lovely with views of garden and the sea, pool was clean and warm. Lots of parking outside, bars, restaurants ATMs and supermarket all within 20 meters. Old Town 10 mins and The ***** 15 mins walking distance. Aldi, Lidl and Pingo Doce all nearby. Would use this hotel again.

Great hotel all i needed, washing machine a bonus and a good base to explore from. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, Flavia and her lady colleague went beyond sorted a late checkout for me and made sure everything went smooth. Obrigada.
