4 Senior backpackers in Japan ”stumbled” onto this gem of a Japanese inn next to the Arakawa River. Less than 10 minute walk from the Kami-Nagatoro station and 10 minute walk to Nagatoro Station. We chose location due to proximity to river and start of river boat downstream river ride-sites. We were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality shown throughout our two-day stay. We were late in coming out of the mountains of Gunma prefecture (2 hour plus train ride away) and called the inn to notify and were subsequently told that this was no problem for check-in and supper. Fortunately we made up time lost and got to the inn earlier that expected and enjoyed the serene tree-lined river and men's and women's communal furo (shower/bath also in rooms) with outdoor views before dining. Then...we were overwhelmed by the quality and quantity of the dinner! A real treat to get a 7+ course Japanese meal featuring the specialty vegetables and protein of the region! Upon departure we chose to walk with packs back to Kami-Nagatoro Station, along the river, but the proprietor had the Inn van ready and waiting to take us to the train station. The included breakfast's were also multi-course Japanese style, with regional specialties. Granted, the hotel is somewhat time-worn, probably seeing its zenith in the 80's and 90's but all the facilities were cleaning, usable and safe. All staff went made a great effort to ensure that we were enjoying the locale and the Inn. This location, in our opinion is much more serene and ”touristy” than the main area surrounding Nagatoro station but is only 10 minutes walking from that action. If opportunity arises, we will return. The Saitama Museum of Natural is just across the street but this large and modern facility was not open on our late arrival and on Monday. We left on Tuesday morning, but wanted to visit this place also.

Booked this place for a night, and was pleasantly surprise with the facilities and the hospitality given to us from the moment we checked in till when we left. I love how even just a stay at this place, really made me feel relaxed and somewhat detox from its onsen bath to the breakfast they provided us. We were also given a choice to select 'pillows' each night we were to stay here; and extra amenities for onsen soak as well. On the night of our stay, we were also offered the 'welcome bar'; where we could mix & choose the selections of the alcohol they had set out (but only for a cup). However, the only downside was that there wasn't much to offer when we went there as i think the previous guests had poured most of the alcohol; so when we reached there were only empty bottles and 2 choices left to pick from. It'll be nice if the staff were able to top them up and allow all guests to have an equal choice of selection next time. Nevertheless, I really look forward to staying here again the next time i visit japan.

Google doesn't say this - you should exit from east gate of Omiya station and turn left. The hotel is in a covered shopping street. I wanted to watch fireworks at Odawa Park and this hotel is 3 stations away. It has a nice decor, capsule room ceiling is high and quote spacious so I did not feel claustrophobic. I loved the wood design - very Nordic. There are plenty of bathrooms, toilets and sinks for use. There's a TV and a narrow locker in every capsule. Bedroom slippers, pyjamas, towels and a basket for you to bring your toiletries to the bathroom are provided. There are manga books and free drinks and curry rice. I did not use them. Beddings were ok. Guests were quiet when I was there so I had a very good sleep. There are many restaurants and supermarket and konbini nearby. There's a Lumine shopping mall here but they don't do tax refund. Location is fanatastic. If I had one complain, the hotel should provide the absorbent stone floor mat in the bathroom cubicle.

Very friendly reception staff. Room was clean, shared bathroom was clean although another guest had been using the cubicle as a smoke room. Room was basic but comfortable and not overly noisy. Communual bath was clean, large and relaxing. Location is very close to the station, however it is sitwd within the adult area.

’毎年恒例正月は休暇村’なのですが、自宅から車で行ける休暇村にはほとんど行き尽したので、今年はグループ（運営をアドバイスしているみたい）の宿、両神荘さんへお邪魔しました。場所は秩父市内から１時間足らず、山中の寂しい所にあります。コンビニは車で５分ほど秩父方面に行ったところにあります。建物は新館と旧舘があり、レストランやロビー、売店は旧舘、大浴場は新館にあります。今回は新館和室を利用しましたが、新館と言ってもそれなりに年季が入っていて、ひと昔前の懐かしい休暇村を思い出しました。食事はレストランで夕食はセット料理、朝食はビュッフェスタイルでいただきます。夕食は休暇村の基本コースのレベルより少し貧弱な感じ。朝食は同レベルではないでしょうか。こちらの良い所は温泉で、露天、内湯共にとろりとしたアルカリ泉。チェックインしてすぐに入ったときは利用者が多いせいか足し湯が多かったのかトロリ感は感じませんでしたが、食後の利用者が少ない時間はとろみを感じる事が出来ました。ただし正月のせいか、それともリーズナブルな利用料金のせいか分かりませんが、常連さんと小さな子供連れが非常に多く、少し不愉快な場面もありました。休暇村グループという事ですが、部屋のキーは１本、スリッパクリップ等のおなじみの備品は有りませんでした。少ないスタッフで頑張っておられ、気遣いも随所に感じられるのですが、やはり国民宿舎の殻からは出られていないように感じました。お世話になり有難うございました。

Great location in the middle of the main warehouse district and accessible by bus from the nearest train stations. Cozy room, clean and modern design and facilities. Shared bathrooms are also clean and well maintained. Food court on the first floor provided a quick and easy breakfast.

大浴場のシャワーとカランの水圧は激低です。 私が入ったタイミングでは貸し切り状態だったこともあり、5席あるうちの二つのカランを使いながら何とか泡を流し切りました。 1席ではとてもとても水量が足りません。他の方々どうされてるのでしょう。 それから、「無料」朝食は、食べさせてる感というか雰囲気が。 嘘でもw　ホスピタリティを示して欲しかったり。 窓が開くのと景観と納豆と生*で、何とか★２つ！ ■良い点 ・駅至近。 ・窓開きます。 ・朝食に生*、納豆、のり！ ■悪い点 ・女性大浴場故障で利用できないことの案内が控えめ！ ・水圧。 ・餌付け朝食。 ・朝食のご飯は固め（お茶漬けにするレベル）。 ・焼けてない感の鯖（こわい）。 ・これ、サラダ？ ・食堂のキャパ。 ・深谷駅周辺に遅くまでやっているお店が無い（ホテル無関係）。

チェックイン時にフロントでムーミンバレーパークへの行き方を伺ったら、翌日のチェックアウトのとき、地図や施設の情報をプリントアウトして渡していただきました。 お陰様で、駐車場なども迷うことなく駐めることができました。 お心遣いが嬉しかったです。 ありがとうございました。
