Travelled to Puglia/Lecce for New Year holiday and decided to stay in a 5 star hotel/resort . We choose Risorgimento Resort ! Lecce and Puglia are amazing and well worth a visit, but we found the hotel not to be up to its 5 star billing. A great disappointment ! Whilst the hotel was clean, the stuff well trained (less the last day), the room awful . We traveled a lot and stayed in different hotels of varying standards, the room was certainly below par for even a 4 star establishment. The decoration, furniture and carpet were dated ! The bathroom equipment as well ! Last night I couldn’t find my nightgown. I assumed that is was taken by the made by mistake. At the reception the next day when I was checking out, I was told that it cannot be searched for, and found quickly. Surprise ! I didn’t receive any apology for the negligence of the staff. I will be back in Puglia/Lecce, but not in Risorgimento Resort

A stunning hotel. Some rooms have a lovely view of Santa Croce. Extremely well located. Lovely staff. Santa Croce suite divine. Breakfast was superb. Great valet parking. Lovely bed. A lovely hotel that we would go back to. Not cheap but this is luxury - all the hotel meets luxury standards. Not cheap but very much worth it. We really enjoyed our stay. Cannot fault it really.

We have to give the Bari Grande Albergo delle Nazioni full marks on everything. Firstly, the airline had lost our luggage and we needed to fill out, print, scan and email a bunch of documents. The staff could not have been more helpful! No matter what was needed, they were there. The staff at the rooftop restaurant were fantastic to. Very good breakfast with a beautiful view. The room was very spacious and had a mini-fridge, kettle and a great view of the harbour. The shower was hot and modern. The hotel is a quick walk to shopping and not far from the old town. A ferris wheel is located across the road which is good fun. There is a grocery store a couple short blocks away that is very well stocked. We loved this hotel and its staff. Highly, highly recommend.

Abbiamo soggiornato 4 notti in questo luxury hotel . Nonostante fosse la seconda metà di settembre tutti i servizi richiesti erano possibili . Particolarmente gentili alla reception Francesca e Gianni :simpatico e accogliente . Ottima la colazione con menù alla carta con prodotto locali e cucinati al momento più tavolo self-service , gentili e sempre con ottimi consigli Giusy Domenico e Martina dagli occhi bellissimi . La camera spaziosa , bagno enorme con doccia altrettanto spaziosa , terrazzo vista piscina ampio con tavolo e fiori curati . Bella la piscina a sfioro al terzo piano che va prenotata , ma il vantaggio di arrivare a Settembre è quello di averla sempre libera . Che dire della parete arredata con piante vere presente all’ingresso ? .. vale da sola il soggiorno . Buono il ristorante , menù non troppo lungo e pietanze cucinate bene e soprattutto saporite . Bello il lido Mora Mora curato anche dopo la mareggiata e nonostante abbiamo avuto un piccolo inconveniente in quanto il ragazzo addetto non ci ha riservato il posto ad un tavolo vista mare come richiesto . Vorrei tornare e usufruire anche della SPA ..

This hotel is located in the old city of Monopoli with views of water from the back of the hotel. We requested a room with a shower and we had a large king sized bedroom that was beautifully decorated and well maintained and had a stone motif or perhaps it was part of a cave structure and high barrel ceiling. There was a closet and many drawers for your clothing and an arm chair. No desk. Our room had an another room with a bed/sofa that provided extra space. There are no international plugs so bring your plug adapters. The fast charge did not work great and it would have been nice to have some easily accessible plugs near the bed. The bathroom and shower were small but adequate. The staff was very efficient and nice. Breakfast is served in a room accessed from the street several doors down from the main entrance to the hotel. It is served in a lovely large room and the breakfast buffet is quite plentiful. There is also outdoor eating and a pool area. The room was well lit and the bedding and towels were nice. The hotel has many stone stairs and you must climb down to reception and we had to climb up a couple of flights to our room. There is a shuttle that takes you back and forth to the public car park with your luggage which is outside the old city. We would recommend this hotel if you can handle stairs.

Absolutely stunning property! It is an entire authentic village with wonderful rooms, facilities, good, wine and people. We had a lovely festival evening with music and performers. Our second night was artisanal autumn cocktails followed by a delicious pizza in the square. The location is perfect for day trips to bari, locorotondo.

First, the most accommodating, nicest staff you could imagine. We loved these people. The hotel is scrupulously clean, the rooms are spacious, and the food was very good. Huge bowls of fresh, plump figs straight from the orchards at breakfast. It is in a countryside setting, but that's what we wanted - and with a car it's a very quick trip to Otranto or Lecce or explore the southern coast. It was an extremely relaxing way to unwind from traveling and begin our trip to Puglia. Afternoons by the sparkling, uncrowded pool with a glass of local wine or an Aperol spritz weren't hard to take either! We stayed 5 nights before moving on to Matera.
