"Penginapan ini biasa-biasa sahaja. Lokasinya agak jauh. Walaupun ada kedai makan berdekatan, makanannya semua tidak sedap. Kaunter penyambut tetamu ada menyediakan air minuman. Tandas dan kemudahan lain memang agak lama, tapi masih boleh digunakan. TV berfungsi, namun tiada pengering rambut disediakan. Secara keseluruhan, ini hotel bajet yang biasa-biasa sahaja tetapi harganya agak mahal."

WWin.TThis is our first time staying here. The location is highly convenient, with shopping, food, massage, and a salon all nearby. The host's customer service responded very quickly. Everything in this condo is new, and our family is happy to stay here. The only issue is the lack of kitchen utensilsāno cups, no plates, no bowls. If you order food to the condo and want to eat there, it's not very convenient. Fortunately, the place is accessible to many locations and is kept clean, so we would still like to book here again.

SSven79Stayed at Hotel CIQ recently and had a pleasant experience overall. The location is very convenient, especially for those needing quick access to the CIQ area, making it great for short stays or business trips. The room was clean and comfortable, with basic amenities provided.
Staff were friendly and helpful during check-in and throughout the stay. While the facilities are quite simple, everything was functional and well-maintained. Itās not a luxury hotel, but it offers good value for the price.
Overall, a solid choice if youāre looking for a convenient and affordable stay near CIQ.

SSuria AnnePros: The location is excellent, with plenty of halal dining options nearby and a small shopping mall just a few minutesā walk away. The hotel is conveniently located about 25 minutes from the Mini Zoo and only 10 minutes from Desaru Beach. The room rates are affordable, and we were pleasantly surprised to receive a connecting room, which we greatly appreciated. The room was also clean and comfortable.
Cons: One major inconvenience was that the refrigerator automatically switched off whenever we left the room. After spending a long, hot day outdoors, it was disappointing to return and find our drinks no longer cold.
On our first night, we requested an extra towel and toothbrush set since there were three guests in the room. Unfortunately, the items were not delivered, even after we followed up at the front desk. There was also no floor mat provided.
Thankfully, our experience improved the next day thanks to Zamre at the front desk. He was friendly, helpful, and made sure we received everything we needed. He also ensured our room was ready by 1 PM. Zamreās excellent service truly stood out and made a positive difference to our stay. He is probably the main reason we would choose to return to Fives Desaru on our next visit.
Overall, the hotel offers good value for money, and with improvements in housekeeping responsiveness, the experience would be even better.

AabdulmukmiinThe location was great but at night there's too many sound pollution as the hotel is located in front of a main street. Maybe there's less noise during weekdays. My other issue was the showerhead was not great. It had too much clog build up thus affecting the flow of water although the water pressure of the hotel was really good. Other than that, everything was great !

GGuest UserThe price is good and there is a food street, convenience stores and a Watsons within the same shop lot area. Really good place!
The room itself is a little run down, but not uncomfortable. The aircon goes down real cold and the water can go up to scorching hot. Thereās a hairdryer.
I would recommend you stay in a room with a window instead of a room without because the experience is so much better.

The room cleanliness was superb ā really impressed. The beds were very comfortable, everything felt fresh and well maintained. The condition of the room was good and cozy, definitely a comfortable place to rest after a long day. The lighting and setup made the room feel warm and relaxing.
The only downside for me was the lobby and location. The lobby feels a bit too simple and doesnāt really give that welcoming hotel vibe. Also, since itās located at the old plaza area, the surroundings donāt feel very lively or comfortable, especially at night.
But overall, for room comfort and cleanliness, Iām satisfied with the stay. Would still consider coming back for a short stay š

MMICKEY-MONKEYThis hotel is located in the Austin area, a pretty lively suburb of Johor Bahru. Interestingly, my ride-sharing app showed two different addresses about 500 meters apart. The ground floor is a mall, and the restaurant and lobby are on the first floor. They charged a 300 deposit, but the front desk only gave me a receipt for 100. Good thing I caught that, otherwise, check-out would have been a hassle. The room was spacious enough, the air conditioning worked great, and there was one Chinese channel on TV, which was from Singapore.
