The location was the best part!! Super close to Central station and conveniently located near to many amenities. Rooms could do with being updated but overall has a comfortable stay and I’d definitely consider staying again. Great stay !

Could improve more on the check in service. I booked this room in 2 different booking (on 2 platforms) as there was changes to our flight schedule. And the booking was done under my mum’s name as leading guest, other 3 person as other guests. When arrived at the hotel for check in, the staff insisted us to present the leading guest’s credit card/bank card for deposit, don’t allowed me to use my bank card for the deposit, or else they have the right to deny our check-in even I had explained that my mum didn’t bring her bank card as we are sponsoring her expenses in Australia, which I had also showed them the check-in coupon from the platform with full payment confirmation. They DO NOT ACCEPT other guests’s bank card/ credit card for the deposit even the names are shown in the booking confirmation voucher. At that time the attending staff has no intention to help us to resolve this issue but to ask us to settle ourselves in the booking App (which at this point the modification of the guest names are not allowed anymore in the App). After almost 20min of struggle with the platform app which we still couldn’t resolve it and after some hard time and negotiation with the staff, finally he agreed to let us check-in using my bank card to pay for the deposit. This is the first time I encounter such rule of insisting leading guest bank card for deposit ONLY, and do not accept other guest’s bank card for deposit payment. I hope the hotel can state this rule clearly in their introduction page to avoid similar circumstances happen again. Generally it’s a good stay with good price for the location and the amenities of this hotel. Easily accessible with tram and train. Many attractions within walking distance.

Walking distance to the Central Station with eateries around…MacDonald 24hr is just opposite. There is bus stop outside the hotel..Room is spacious..The only drawback is only u will need to get your room slippers from the front desk and there is no free bottled water daily.

On the ambience side, the decor and modern-ish art was uplifting and fun. The room was very clean. But, we were surprised to find the room so small. In order for 2 people to get into the bed, one had to crawl over the other. The very small window sill became the nightstand. There was no room for luggage, and no luggage racks - we were told they didn’t have enough. That meant one suitcase on the floor and one on the very small plastic table. The retro-refrigerator was cool, but my traveling companion kept threatening to move it out into the hall to create some space in the room the whole time we were there. And then, the very small bathroom, the shower door doubled as the door to the bathroom. Have you ever looked into a microwave? The shower and the bathroom walls had the same dot matrix pattern as a microwave door. My companion was surprised to see while showering she could see me relaxing on the bed, and when she screamed “can you see me?” I replied “yes”. My companion now has bathroom-PTSD. Not only was the shower see through, there was a full-room-view sitting on the throne, trying to do your business. Then the realization somebody may be watching. PTSD! Our solution was to use the downstairs public bathroom for major activities. Did I mention IBS???

I resist writing reviews but had to make an exception. I have stayed in Moxy’s in New York and loved them. I walked there quicker than getting out of the car park station. Stepped into the lobby and it reminded me how dated everything else is. I used the Hotel as work base and it worked perfectly with plenty of private spaces to make calls etc. I didn’t use the meeting rooms but probably would next time. Another highlight was discovering the very close Mascot village, with cool cafes, cheap eats and apparently one of Sydney’s best banh mi’s (Hong Ha) where I joined the queue. At last I have a cool Sydney Airport stay.

My family had a great time at Sydney Central Hotel. The receptionists checked us in early and gave us a late checkout and there was a kid’s corner for my kids to play at. The room was quite retro and cozy, and the beds were very soft and comfortable to sleep in. The TV also had many nice channels that my kids enjoyed watching. Also, the breakfast was delicious and there was a fruit juice machine there. The bathtub was good. Lotion was provided. Corridor has funny smell. The Landry room was very useful. However, the swimming pool was very small. No slippers, no water provided. Toothbrush on request.

Service was disappointing, we stayed in this hotel for 3 days. The first day, we got an issue with using the safe, called reception a few times, and nobody answered the calls, we had to go down the reception and ask their staff for help. The second day, we went back to the hotel around 5pm and found that the room hadn't been cleaned, called the reception again and again. Nobody picked up the phone, eventually we met the cleaner at eh corridor and asked her to do housekeeping. Overall, the location is great, walking distance to main attractions and near light rail stations and Wynard train station. The Japanese restaurant next door services tasty ramen and bento with reasonable prices.

Service was friendly and polite. 1100 checkout was nice. Bed was comfy. Room furniture was a little tired. View of air conditioners from the back rooms. Driving from the north of Sydney is super easy and you don't really have to deal with the oneway streets and traffic of the George and Pitt Street areas. I would stay again.

Hotel was amazing, love it so much Me and my partners have spend an amazing time at this place, clean, comfortable, modern. However, the aircon was a bit too loud like a motocycle but not a big problem, hope they can replace a new type of air con next visit. It was lovely that staff allow us to check in early

Hotel location is very good. 10 mins walk to the Central station, and Hay Market light rail station. 8 mins walk to the Broadway shopping centre where there are supermarkets like Coles, ALDI, Harris Farm market and Kmart, plus a big food court. After Metro open, travel to Chatswood or Macquarie will be less than 30mis.

A great place to stay near Light Rail, Chinatown, Central, and shopping. Our room was excellent, and we found the reception staff always welcoming and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. It is an excellent hotel for location, for guests who may have difficulty walking up and down sloping streets, as it is in a comparably level area.

A great place to stay near Light Rail, Chinatown, Central, and shopping. Our room was excellent, and we found the reception staff always welcoming and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. It is an excellent hotel for location, for guests who may have difficulty walking up and down sloping streets, as it is in a comparably level area.

Excellent location with easy access to public transport, supermarket, restaurants etc. Apartments are spacious. Our booking was for limited housekeeping service, but even so, the staff only tidied up once in our 8 night stay. No vacuuming or cleaning of bathroom floor, only change of towels, amenities and emptying of bins.

Excellent location, extremely clean facilities. Staff were super helful and breakfast included was wonderful. A microwave in the rooms would have been great, but i made do.

Good venue in heart of town. Easy access from rail and train, restaurants and supermarkets. Thank you for upgrading us to a family room! The only downside is the sockets are not well positioned for easy charging

This hotel provides excellent service, with every detail carefully considered, making me feel very comfortable and relaxed. Furthermore, the service is absolutely top-notch, with the staff being very friendly and professional. The hotel environment is also very clean, giving me a sense of peace and reassurance. My recent 7-day stay. While the location of the hotel is fantastic and made our trip convenient, there were some concerns regarding cleanliness that I feel need to be addressed. During our stay, my husband and I noticed that the cleanliness of the room, particularly the bedding, did not meet expectations. We were uncertain if the sheets were changed during our stay hence made a request at the front desk that our bedding needs to be changed. On several occasions, after returning to our room late in the evening, we found that the sheets were still dirty, which was quite disappointing. As guests on holiday, we expected a certain level of cleanliness, particularly with something as fundamental as bed linens. Unfortunately, we were too tired to address it with the front desk at the end of long days. We ended up sleeping on just one side of the bed. I believe that with a little more attention to detail in housekeeping, this could be an area for significant improvement. Cleanliness is one of the most basic expectations when staying at a hotel, and I hope this feedback helps ensure future guests do not encounter similar issues.

Loved Room 504. Spacious,for an inner-city hotel. Loved the lights,and how the floor light comes on when you step into the bathroom! Beautiful bathroom. Refillable toiletries. Loved the the little seat/table at the foot of the bed and the lovely mantelpiece. Love how no plastic bags are used in the wastepaper baskets. Thank you for the upgrade,bottle of wine for our anniversary and the late check-out (2.00pm!) Most generous! Delicious dinner and breakfast in Bar Morris - what a gorgeous space! Impeccable service from the wait staff - friendly and professional. A perfect staycation!

MANTRA Sydney Central has great location! Very convenient for dining and shopping. Access to Tram and Train is also great. Enjoy the neighborhood - Chinatown, Paddys Market , Shops and Supermarket, Chemist and Restaurants until 11pm :) The hotel reception and staff are friendly and very accommodating! Will definitely recommend to friends!

It's a great place to stay if you have an early morning flight and the interior of the hotel is funky, modern, spacious and colourful. The customer service from the hospitability staff can be better as the young male staff seemed more preoccupied with his tasks than providing great customer service. There needs to be vegan gluten free meals available as there were nothing for vegans except for plain pringles and Smith's originals. The toilet button should be positioned higher instead of closing down the toilet lid in order to find the flush button and the shower sewer needs to be more wider as the water was overflowing onto the bathroom floor. I booked a shuttle bus to domestic airport early in the morning for my flight and it would be great if this service was offered in the evening at Mascot station for those getting to the airport for an early morning flight with heavy luggages. Other than that, comfortable bed and bedroom and immersive reception and cafe area.

We decided to stay here because of our early flight to China the next morning and wanted as much sleep as possible. Check in and out is efficient, wifi good, didn't try the breakfast or the dinner, has a bar on the ground floor. Probably one of the most expensive hotel I've stated at how most convenient. International terminal only a 5 minute walk away. Most terminals in Australia have streamlined the carry on process no need to remove laptops. Rooms very quiet no fumes from the aircraft.

I was in transit from Australia to Singapore on the next day, to stay overnight to have a good night's sleep near the airport this hotel is very close to the airport and makes it very convenient for transit.

Flying from Brisbane to Sydney, I stayed at the Travelodge for 1 night before catching an international flight the next morning. I arrived at T2 with time to spare before check in so walked to the Hotel. ( use the exit by baggage carousel 3 cross the road turn right and follow your nose, being 66yo I prefer to follow my nose than trust Google ) The walk takes 15-20 minutes. The rooms as expected were functional and clean. There is a bar in the lobby. There is also a bistro on the ground floor near the elevators which I only saw after returning with food that I had walked back to T2 to purchase something for dinner. The Travelodge is down a side street and therefore probably quieter than other Hotels, such as Quest, which are on the main road. Having the shuttle bus to the International Terminal ( $10 ) right next door is a big convenience. For the benefit of light sleepers the rooms on the left hand side of the Hotel are under a flight path, planes are easily heard, though there is a curfew ( as I understand it ) between 11pm and 6am at T2 and T3. Travelodge is comfortable and clean and I recommend for a stay near the airport.

Great customer service But the entry of the hotel is hard to find. There is no very clear sign direct us into the carpark so that I made my way into the holiday inn beside it. This needs to be improved. Overall good

I have stayed at HISA about 3 times in the last 13 months, the night before an international early morning flight. I like evrything about this hotel. Reception staff are friendly, courteous, professional and efficient and it usually doesn't take too long to check in. It's a short walk from Mascot Railway Station, so you can catch a train direct to the hotel from anywhere in the Sydney area or connect from a regional service. The bar and restaurant on the ground floor were great. Prices reasonable and tasty, comfort food. Bed was great and there is a drop-off service to the domestic and reasonable airports at a very reasonable price, or you can walk back to the railway station and catch a train to domestic or international airport (one or 2 stops). I recommended this hotel to my brother on his recent trip, and he loved it, and I love it. i'll be back.

Our room, a serene haven, was tastefully decorated, blending modern amenities with subtle touches of elegance. A sweeping view of the city skyline against the setting sun from our window was simply mesmerizing, adding an extra layer of magic to our stay. The cleanliness and peaceful ambiance of the room were second to none, contributing to our restful nights. Our memories of this place are etched in our hearts, making us yearn to return when the opportunity arises. We left The Elysium with heavy hearts but with the promise of a future visit. It was more than just a hotel, it was an experience, a beautiful chapter in our lives, that we would happily revisit.

The room was quaint, but everything about this hotel was decent. The bathroom was big enough, very clean, and has top-of-the-line sundries. It was very conveniently located just below the departures hall. Because of its size, there’s really not much to expect, but the cleanliness and service are superb. I did have one concerning experience when my room suddenly was filled with the smell of suffocating engine fumes, and I was woken up in the middle of the night. I have written a letter about it; I am waiting for the hotel’s response.

Overall experience is average. There is charge for shuttle to airport. There are only KFC and Mac next to it. Not for my type and there are other hotels in nearby which should be better
