BEST STAY EVER! Long review, but a meaningful one. Hotel & Facilities: I stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel is beautiful, peaceful, and well maintained. The location is excellent, only about a 5-minute walk from the main entrance of the Longmen Grottoes, plus all the shopping and food area. There is also a nearby bridge where I enjoyed beautiful views of the grottoes without entering the site! The receptionist Mengmeng upgraded my room to a suite free of charge, which made my stay even more memorable, since it was a special occasion! She was super helpful and kind through my stay. Housekeeping was outstanding. My room was cleaned every day and maintained to a high standard. The breakfast buffet had a variety of dishes and enough choices to keep breakfast interesting throughout my stay, I ate like a queen, besides the restaurant area is super peaceful. As a Spanish girl who does not speak good Chinese, I relied on translation apps, and the staff were always patient, welcoming, and eager to help. Exceptional Staff Support After I Sprained My Ankle: During my visit to the Longmen Grottoes, I unfortunately sprained my ankle. The level of care I received from the hotel staff was exceptional and was one of the main reasons I decided to extend my stay by an extra night. The receptionist Dan Dan and the driver Zhang Hong went above and beyond to help me the night I sprained my ankle. Ma Dan Dan was my main contact point. She regularly checked on me, provided ice for my ankle and even helped me do my laundry! She came up and down to my room several times to bring me everything I needed. I am very grateful for her time and care. The driver Changwang took me to the nearest health centre and he was super patient and talkative, which was nice. Special mention to one staff member called Wang Bing, she was working during the breakfast the day after I sprained my ankle and she was incredibly helpful, lovely and attentive, she even gave me a medicine for mosquito bites! Everyone treated me with kindness and professionalism. I believe mentioning their names is relevant, due to my particular situation, they deserve the recognition. As a solo woman travelling and getting injured far away from home, their support meant a great deal to me. Overall: Whether you are a domestic or international traveller, I highly recommend this hotel. The combination of beautiful facilities, an excellent location, outstanding cleanliness and nd caring staff made this one of the most memorable experiences I have had in my years of travelling. Let me start with the basics. I've only visited Xin County twice, coincidentally both times in the same hotel and the same room. Opening the window, I was greeted by a breathtaking panoramic view of the Huanghe River! A stroll along the riverbank, with a gentle spring breeze, was a rare and delightful experience! A small bridge leads to Xin County Square, the heart of the county! After a busy day, you can drive along the Xihe River to experience its serene beauty and tranquil atmosphere, or cycle through the former capital of the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Soviet Area to pay homage to its heroes and reconnect with your roots!

Facilities: The gym is a bit small, with only one of each type of exercise, but it was sufficient since no one was exercising during the Chinese New Year holiday. There is a laundry room. Cleanliness: Overall cleanliness was average, but the shower floor tiles didn't seem very clean. Environment: The overall environment was nice, especially the interior design, which was quite artistic and stylish, a pleasant surprise in a small city like Puyang. There's also a night market nearby with local caravans, which is quite nice and worth checking out. Service: There wasn't much service, just standard service. We parked our car at the parking lot entrance, but because there were so many cars, several were parked at the entrance. We had to call each car individually early in the morning, which wasn't a pleasant experience, as our phone numbers were in our cars. The restaurant was quite crowded and chaotic that day; they couldn't keep up with the demand for food, indicating limited capacity during holidays. Attached are a few photos. I think the welcoming greenery in the lobby downstairs is very atmospheric. I didn't take any room photos, but the ones on the official website are exactly the same as the actual rooms—very beautiful.

I am incredibly particular about room hygiene, but this property managed to exceed every single expectation. The room was immaculately clean, completely dust-free, and smelled wonderfully fresh from the second I walked through the door. The bed felt like sleeping on a cloud, featuring an ultra-plush mattress, high-quality crisp linens, and pillows that provided the perfect amount of support. Coupled with quiet, efficient climate control and excellent soundproofing, it provided a truly restful sanctuary. What elevates this hotel from great to extraordinary, however, is its incredible team. The staff here understand the true definition of hospitality, greeting every single interaction with a genuine smile and unmatched warmth. Throughout my stay, the entire team was professional, efficient, and eager to help. They did not just fulfill standard requests; they anticipated my needs and went completely above and beyond to ensure I felt valued and comfortable. You can truly tell that the staff care about the guest experience, and their flawless manners made a massive impression. If you are looking for a hotel that combines uncompromising cleanliness, luxurious comfort, and heartwarming hospitality, look no further. A Charming Old Town Homestay in Luoyang: Beautiful but with a Few Quirks! This is a beautifully renovated homestay nestled right inside Luoyang's ancient old town. If you are looking for a place with local character, this is a wonderful choice, though there are a few practical things you should know before booking. The Cons (Things to consider): The Location/Access: Because it is located deep within a narrow alley of the old town, large cars and taxis cannot pick you up or drop you off right at the doorstep. You will need to roll your luggage for about 400 meters to the main road. 🧳 The Breakfast: They serve a very traditional Chinese breakfast consisting of millet porridge, fried dough sticks (youtiao), and vegetable steamed buns. While it tasted good, it was a bit salty, and the menu was exactly the same every single day without any variation. The Pros (Why I still loved it): The Room & Vibe: Our triple room was incredibly spacious, spotlessly clean, and the entire courtyard was beautifully decorated with a lot of taste and local charm. The Hospitality: The owner and the staff were absolutely amazing—super enthusiastic, warm, and helpful throughout our stay! ❤️ The Prime Location: Being situated inside the old town means it is exceptionally convenient. You can easily walk to all the major historical sights and the vibrant Drum Tower (Gulou) Night Market for amazing street food. 🏮🍢 Overall, despite the minor inconveniences with luggage and the repetitive breakfast, the massive rooms, lovely aesthetic, and unbeatable location make it a fantastic base for exploring Luoyang!

The room decor is nice and it's quite clean, with good service. The hotel has its own restaurant, and the breakfast quality is quite high. Parking is convenient, and there are charging stations available. The only downside is a severe odor coming from the bathroom. The drainpipes lack a P-trap, and the corrugated pipe under the sink isn't sealed where it connects to the in-wall PVC drain, essentially providing a direct connection from the sewer to the room, causing a strong unpleasant smell.

## Facilities Generally very good. The only minor point is that the hotel uses central air conditioning, which often doesn't cool the room as much as individual units, typically maintaining around 22°C, and can sometimes feel a bit stuffy. However, the hotel's maintenance staff responded quickly, and after they cleared it, the room did feel noticeably cooler. ## Hygiene The room was immaculately clean and tidy. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job. ## Environment The hotel boasts a fantastic location, right at the subway entrance, which makes getting around incredibly convenient. ## Service The service was truly excellent. Any issues we had were promptly addressed by the front desk. A special mention goes to the complimentary drop-off service to Zhengzhou East High-Speed Rail Station on our last day, which was a very thoughtful touch and much appreciated. My only very minor suggestion would be to improve the consistency or quality control of the welcome fruit. I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Zhengzhou.

The room was clean and comfortable, I felt relaxed as soon as I checked in after a long journey! The breakfast was rich and the late-night congee was also great. The auntie who cooked the noodles was very enthusiastic, and both the noodles and wontons were delicious. Another bowl of congee with salted duck egg, super satisfying! They even had tofu pudding for breakfast with many toppings to choose from, and the fruit was fresh. Overall, I was very pleased! The front desk lady was also very helpful, she helped me choose a room with a view and refilled my tea bags when I ran out, which I really appreciated. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would choose this hotel again if I have the chance.

I recently stayed at the Guangdong Hotel Erqi Plaza Zhengzhou with my elderly parents and child, and the overall experience was excellent! The hotel's location is superb, right next to Dehua Pedestrian Street, making it very convenient for sightseeing and getting around. The lobby has an herbal health pillow experience area, where you can try out over a dozen types of pillows for free, and even purchase them. I picked a buckwheat pillow for my parents, and they found it very comfortable. The room also included a special snack goodie bag for my child, which was a delightful surprise. Breakfast is served on the 28th floor in the revolving panoramic restaurant, offering stunning city views while you dine. The lobby bar also provides late-night snacks. The hotel thoughtfully provides hand-drawn tourist maps, and the staff's service was warm and attentive. It's perfectly suited for both family trips and business travel. Highly recommended!
