Hotel Mountain view di Beijing

From the moment we arrived, the staff came out to greet us in such a friendly and welcoming manner. During check-in they added us to a WeChat group and provided lots of useful information to help make our stay enjoyable, including nearby restaurants and local attractions. We could speak enough Chinese to get by, but even if you only speak English it would still be manageable as one of the staff members speaks some English. If needed, using a translation app was never a problem because all of the staff were patient, friendly, and always willing to help. One thing that really stood out was that they disinfected the hot spring right in front of us before use, which was a really nice touch and made us feel reassured that everything was clean. The entire room was spotless, including the sauna room, shower and bathroom. They also provided free TV services for our child, which was great for relaxing in the evening. I went to get some beers from the front desk and they insisted we didn’t need to pay. Later on, there was free BBQ with complimentary food and drinks, which we were not expecting at all. The staff were amazing throughout the stay. They even helped look after our child while we were eating, and brought breakfast directly to our door when requested. Breakfast itself was excellent with a good variety of food. The only small thing was there wasn’t any juice available, but honestly it was such a minor issue that I completely forgot about it afterwards. The 阿姨 was incredibly warm and friendly, just a genuinely lovely person, along with the owners and the rest of the staff. Everyone made us feel truly looked after. This is honestly one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It’s also in a fantastic location — only around a 15-minute walk downhill to a quieter section of the Great Wall, and about a 20-minute taxi ride to Badaling Great Wall. When we left, they gave us dates as a way to say thank you for staying at their hotel and to welcome us back again in the future. I would highly recommend staying here and would happily return again.

Great value for money in terms of what one gets vs what we've paid for -- trendy design hotel, nice, spacious room, there's even a fridge (usually for this price it's not provided), nice lobby, adequate size breakfast area with nice ambience, good service all round. Good design and layout in room with comfortable beds, adequate powerpoints and charging points. I like that the basin area has a huge top so I could put all my toiletries (I've got a lot) Thoughtful little stuff that I like : torchlight-like light by the beside and mugs with rubber base to insulate the heat. The toiletries in the bathroom smell really good too! Breakfast has good variety -- different types of porridge, some steam dumplings, sweet potatoes and corn, etc, rice, different dishes, there's a noodle station where you could customise your noodles to a certain extent, eggs, there's also bread and some sandwiches (ready-made and can DIY too), fruits, milk, juices, coffee, soya bean milk. I feel that the options available is not bad for a hotel of such a level. Actually my booking didn't include breakfast but was advised by the staff (when I check-in) to join the hotel's membership for RMB$99 so that I can get free breakfast. Hotel lobby also serves water and orange juice - another nice touch. Hotel staff's service was very good all round. Offered to help send my luggage up when they saw I had lots of luggage and was alone (some hotels at this level wouldn't volunteer to do so). Was able to answer most of my questions re nearby malls, where to get stuff like fruits, milk, nearby attraction. House-keeping staff was good too. A big thank you to the 2 reception staff that was on night shift on 6 Apr who had helped me out re a delivery mistake made by ******* platform. They even had to look at the CCTV of the hotel to find out what really happened and it took a long while. They were very nice and patient throughout the whole drama. They also helped me speak to the customer service of ******* to try to resolve the problem. When the problem still could not be resolved that night and I was without what I required urgently like the charging cable for my phone, they staff lent me the hotel's. They also gave me a small fruit pack and a pack of milk and bread (complimentary) as I needed it the following morning to bring outdoors for the day. In addition, they had briefed their colleagues on the next shift re my case so that they're aware and could help me should I require more help. Excellent service! Re location, it's a little far off though but it's really near to Beijing Garden Expo Park (北京园博园) and the accompanying Garden Museum (园博园博物馆) . It's a really nice park that's really huge -- that is made up of little models of different style of parks (from Jiangnan to Lingnan to Beijing) It has pavilions, water features and other Chinese architecture and landscaping that usually adorn such traditional parks. Great for photoshoot. Best of all, there're very few people there! There's a small little mall about 700-800m away from the hotel, that has mainly food there with many different types of value for money eateries, coffee, a supermarket and some other shops for daily necessities that local residents need. For a real mall, head to one call 长安天街, that's about 5km away - you can get there quite easily within 10-15mins by Didi (the online platform where you could get a cab I really enjoyed staying here cost it's almost like a resort - a little remote but so quiet and spacious and there's no crowd at all -- very relaxing! I would really want to come back here especially when i want to be in a place where I can feel really relaxed without breaking the bank.

The location is stunning and the room is well-sized for a family, modern and well decorated/ furnished in a luxury style. The gentleman looking after us was friendly, kind and helpful in booking a car, as well quick to respond to questions. The evening meal was delicious and he took us to an interesting restaurant for lunch. Hygiene was a big issue for us. The house was filthy inside and outside and needs to be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected by a professional company. The BBQ area was so dirty it was unusable and we cleaned the outside table 3 times ourselves before using. Floors inside were filthy and only a dirty, old mop used to move the dirt around - no clean, hot water or cleaning materials were used. I threw one of the floor mats outside - these must be replaced and cleaned between guests! This meant I had to use towels on the floor to prevent slipping, which got really dirty. Staff should not wear outdoor shoes inside the property! Cupboards have greasy fingerprints all over them. There were bugs in the shower and in the curtains. I saw hair around the indoor bathtub, but didn’t use it. A thorough clean with soapy, hot water BEFORE guests arrive is required, as it’s below the common standards in China that we’ve observed while traveling (including in some budget hotels). Breakfast was delivered to the property, but it was tiny and plain. We had just come from a budget hotel that had cleaner rooms and a more substantial breakfast provided. The ‘hot springs’ are from a water tank at the back. Showers are okay but would benefit from a water pump to improve the pressure. Beds are fine, if a little on the soft side for us, but that’s a personal preference. Overall, this could be a beautiful, luxury stay, and the gentleman was so helpful and kind. However, it is important that the hygiene and breakfast is improved, especially as the pricing is on the high-end, and so guests will expect more in terms of quality. We won’t return, unfortunately.

Stayed for 2 nights in Oct 2024, planned for 1 night to visit around the town itself and another night for the Simatai Great Wall. 1. Location - Inn is located within Gubei Watertown and it is necessary to go through the watertown to visit the Simatai Great Wall. By booking an accommodation within the town gives you discounted entrance price into the town and since we planned to visit the great wall and explore the town itself we have decided to stay for 2 nights (also partly the cost and time to travel there from Beijing). Inn is located near the main square where some performances are held and near a shuttle service stop (free shuttle services within town if you’re staying in an accommodation within town. Overall a good location within town. 2. Room - Booked a family room for 4 (2 single beds in each level). Room is mostly made of wood hence its not really a modern feel and its not really sound-proof which the staff has notified in advance. Room is spacious and bathroom is big. Stairs that goes up to the 2nd level is stable but can be a little steep for seniors. Overall the room is decent. It comes with tomatoes, peanuts and tea as welcome gift. 3. Luggage - There’s a luggage service whereby you can arrange for your luggage to be transported to your hotel from entrance, and from hotel back to entrance. This is definitely needed as the ground in the watertown is not a smooth surface and can be hard to carry your luggages around. 4. Services & breakfast - Staff’s services is really good and efficient! Breakfast is simple but has good variety. There’s the buffet portion which consists of small dishes for porridge, bread, bun, drinks etc. And there’s an alacarte portion where you need to order in advance the night before such as bacon, egg, sausages, noodles etc. i think its a good initiative to avoid wastage. Overall a very good stay and would recommend if you are visiting Gubei Watertown and would like to stay in a more traditional feel.

I had a lovely experience at this hotel. There were some mixed reviews regarding the location since we weren’t driving, but I found it to be perfectly fine. Taxis were readily available, and the hotel staff were incredibly helpful in arranging our departure taxis; they even assisted us with pre-booking a Didi. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean and had thoughtful touches in the room that made our stay comfortable. Additionally, it is within walking distance to a quieter section of the Great Wall, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay!

- The location is excellent. It is just round the corner from Gubei Water Town. A two minute walk to the entrance hall. - The service was good. The staff added us on WeChat and were very quick to respond to messages and queries. One stand out moment for us was when our food was 2 hours late from a local restaurant. I was struggling to communicate with the restaurant because my Chinese is not very good. Staff reached out on our behalf and sorted the issue for us. - Cleanliness was OK. The sheets on the bed felt lovely and clean, but the apartment was not spotless. The shower had some black mould, and the floor in the kitchen felt sticky. - The apartment itself had some pros. My son absolutely loved all the toys and the slides. It made his experience very enjoyable. - Plenty of towels, toiletries provided. However - The shower leaked constantly. Every time we used the shower the bathroom would become flooded - which was a slipping hazard for my son. - The curtains are very thin. Every morning we were woken up to a bright light streaming through the windows. This meant that my son’s sleep was not great. We did contact the staff about this. They used sellotape to stick up some bedsheets on the windows, but this fell down within minutes! We appreciate the efforts though. - We would have felt better if there was a stair gate. As this is an apartment aimed at families, a stair gate would be good for safety. - Limited cutlery is provided. We were given some disposable chopsticks. However very few cooking utensils / no children’s cutlery. Bring your own if you want to cook. :) - There was only once choice of breakfast - which was not to our personal taste. Would be good if 2 or three options were provided. There is a lovely bakery around the corner and we enjoyed buying our breakfast from there for the remainder of the trip.

Commune by the Great Wall berada di lokasi yang sangat bagus hanya kira-kira 30 minit dari bahagian Badaling di Great Wall. Kakitangan di sini sangat membantu, terutamanya bagi seseorang yang tidak banyak berbahasa Cina. Kawasan ini agak jauh dari mana-mana perkhidmatan atau restoran lain, jadi melainkan anda mempunyai pengangkutan sendiri, kebanyakannya anda akan makan di hotel. Nasib baik, makanannya benar-benar lazat dan disediakan dengan sangat baik di restoran yang ditawarkan oleh hotel. Ia juga berada di kawasan semula jadi yang indah dengan banyak kawasan hutan yang bagus untuk diterokai betul-betul di luar bilik hotel anda. Yang sangat membantu dan membantu saya mendapatkan tiket dan teksi ke Tembok Besar Badaling.

Check in lines are long but service is good, HK lady was helpful too. I had a Mountain View balcony room, spacious and loved the tub. Bed is comfortable but the pillow quality and quantity could be improved. The lobby lounge terrace is nice for cocktails in the evening, food selection was big in the buffet restaurant, food was ok, surprisingly quiet and relaxing lunch even with a hotel full of families.

The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was beautiful and tasty. Laoban was super friendly and did everything to accomodate us. He really made us feel welcome and granted us every wish. We used the hot (very hot) spring. The entrance to the great wall is just across the street. The restaurant is just next door and open most of the time. I defenetely recommend this hotel. What a pitty that we only planned to stay one night here. We were sad to say goodbye. (I also took a picture of the room with private courtyard. This was not our room. But we want to book one next time.)

Pemandangannya jelas dan anda boleh melihat Tembok Besar dan bandar-bandar kecil.Tembok Besar pada waktu malam sangat cantik! Terdapat banyak kedai berdekatan, membeli-belah adalah mudah, terdapat banyak makanan yang lazat, dan kedua-dua produk Lawson sangat banyak! Hiasan hotel sangat bagus! Ini adalah sebab penting untuk memilih hotel ini berbanding yang lain.Bangunan kayu adalah 100% sesuai untuk bandar purba! Air mandian sangat panas dan ada banyak ruang.Ada meja dan kerusi di sebelah katil untuk meletakkan makanan yang lazat! Sikap perkhidmatan kedai sangat baik. Dia dengan bersemangat mengesyorkan makanan yang lazat dan mencuba yang terbaik untuk memenuhi idea dan keperluan kami! (Ia agak lewat apabila saya tiba dan perkhidmatan pelanggan sentiasa dalam panggilan. Bandar Air Gubei sangat cantik! Kad pengenalan Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei mempunyai diskaun tiket separuh harga pada waktu malam. Tempatnya agak besar dan terdapat banyak B&B untuk dikunjungi! Ikan bakar di Gubei Water Town juga sangat sedap! ! !
