For those of you who don’t want to bring winter attire from your country and plan to buy them in Harbin, you should definitely stay at this hotel. You can take a Didi directly to the hotel, drop off your luggage, and head downstairs to buy your winter essentials.
Like me, I came here wearing just sport shoes and was able to buy really cheap winter shoes right away. This means you don’t need to walk around outside searching for what you need, and you don’t have to worry about your clothes being too thin for the cold. You don’t even need to bring full winter gear to feel safe and comfortable.
Just make sure to take a Didi to the hotel—the fare is really cheap. The location is super strategic, the host is very kind and helpful, and the shopping center for winter clothes is literally less than a two-minute walk away!

The hostel its good and clean ... the reception its very friendly and she also speak English... they give free hotel water and normal water .. it was in strategic location..
The only negative its just elevator doesn't work so you need to climb to the 3rd floor and its so tiring 😭 ..
Overall very recommended 👌
They also will help for ur luggage to carry on

Stayed at Pai Hotel near Sofia Church and Central Street and it was a solid choice. Location is excellent for sightseeing, and getting around by Didi is easy. Staff were patient and helpful during check-in, even using a translator app. Room was simple but clean with daily housekeeping. Lobby has free hot water, a microwave, and luggage storage. Heating was good during winter. Just note that rooms facing the train can be noisy.

Rooms are on the smaller side. But air conditioning and hot water are great. Sheets are clean. Breakfast is decent but basic for RMB 25 per pax. Location is good with many eateries and shop nearby. However, the nearest train station is a bit of a walk away.

The location is very close to Harbin Railway Station, and the airport bus stopped next to it.
There are a mini market and some restos close by.
The room was wide, and warm.
The bathroom smelled bad though. And the hot water was hard to adjust (too hot vs too cold).
The hallway was very dark, looked gloomy.
Overall, it was quite good enough for a transit hotel...
We had a good night sleep there.

This apartment unit is apparently not part of the hotel management although it seems that the property is part of hotel building, hence location was a bit confusing at the beginning. However the host was very efficient and communication was clear. Service was excellent and room amenities were good. No issues at all. Location is very strategic. Highly recommended.

Staying at this motel hotel in Harbin was such a pleasant experience! 🏙️❄️ The location is excellent — just a short walk to the iconic Sophia Cathedral and conveniently close to a sari-sari store, which made grabbing essentials super easy.
The room was spacious enough for three people, giving us plenty of comfort during our stay. I also appreciated the thoughtful touch of free bottled water, which was replenished daily.
The highlight for me was definitely the breakfast buffet — a wide variety of tasty options that made mornings feel extra special. 🍳🥐
Overall, this hotel combines great location, comfort, and warm service. Perfect for travelers who want to explore Harbin while enjoying a cozy stay! 🌟

GGuest UserHighly recommend for anyone planning a trip to Snow Valley! Nan Nan Homestay has an unbeatable location, incredibly close to the ski resort. After a tiring day of skiing, you can just turn around and head back to rest. The owner is a local and an excellent guide, providing professional service. The attraction tickets they helped us book were cheaper than online, and they even arranged free shuttle service within the scenic area, so we didn't have to lug our luggage around. The rooms are well-equipped with private bathrooms and complimentary toiletries. The large kang bed can accommodate 2-4 people, making it perfect for family trips or traveling with friends. The 'tie guo dun' (iron pot stew) and 'guo bao rou' (sweet and sour pork) at the restaurant are super authentic, with fresh and flavorful ingredients – incredible value for money. We loved our stay so much, we didn't want to leave!

白白雪在东北This hotel is conveniently located near the Harbin Train Station (and metro station). It has also several cozy cafes within walking distance. The shower is a bit small and only offers 2-in-1 body wash and shampoo. Overall, it was a good fit for easy access to the metro, cafes, and train station.

GGuest UserHarbin Anshu Family Hotel has only 7 rooms and a family who look after the rooms and guests. Their services are just outstanding. I had a serious problem when i arrived as i had not had time in Beijing, where i was in transit from UK to Harbin, to get a phone SIM Card. Anshu Family Hotel took me to the China Mobile shop in Harbin and stayed with me until i got my card. They flatly refused payment for helping me even though it cost them a lot of time so i got them some grapes as a very small gift to say thankyou for helping me so kindly.
The process took nearly two hours due to a complication on my UK phone number settings. However the staff at China Mobile were really good, the Anshu Family were just incredibly patient. They simply would not leave until i was fixed up and able to use my phone. I stayed for just under a week to go to see the major attractions in Harbin, a City with a totally unique identity in China due to its Russian and European Architecture. It is one of the most fascinating cities i have ever visited, Harbin Museum being quite astonishing in its variety and quality of Artifacts. It was the 16th Museum or Museum type building i have visited in China and one of the most enjoyable. This year was Harbins 26th Ice Show, with the Winter Games coming up soon.
The Anshu Family Hotel is spot on location for both events, just a $3 taxi ride or Metro for just cents. The hotel has lots of shops, supermarkets, several food roads bristling with many many choices of meal. The Anshu Family make a very low charge for their rooms, in my opinion it could be far higher but they stick at their price.
I had not asked for breakfast as i go out early to get to see as much as possible during my day sightseeing.
The night before i left i asked them if they would get me a taxi for the morning to get my train. I was to get the taxi at 6.45am. At 5.50 a knock on the door and they came to give me three boiled eggs and a meat stew with noodles. Honestly no Hotel has treated me so kindly. I really recommend grabbing a room with Anshu most especially if you are going to the Ice Show or Winter games.
It is a budget Hotel, so be aware of that, but I got a spotless sheet, cover duvet and i was as warm as toast room at night. The water shower is piping hot. Opposite the Hotel road is a huge Govt building as a landmark, i never had any problem finding it. There is a Bank of China two hundred metres from Anshu Family Hotel.
Anshu, in my opinion must be one of the top deals on offer from Trip.com.

AAnsh ChananaThe place which looks in the photo it is that one but quite dropped by the expectation which I had with it , it was time around the new year and I paid around 700 RMB for 2 nights so I thought room will be quite good by checking the rooms and photos of the reviews. But the room was small the terrace was just a little high from my head. Whole room is okay okay and not so much what you see in the photos. And whole room was with smoke smell the entire 2 days and we opened the small windows to bring out the circulation. Coz the room was heating up in the half an hour only. The owner is good she is really friendly and will help you with everything she even helped in getting my refund of my next hotel she is very good. But the place is fine and can get better

AAnonymous UserThe location is fantastic, right at the subway entrance. When it's -20 to -30 degrees Celsius outside, saving a few hundred meters of walking really is a lifesaver. The hostel also provides free earplugs, and there are a lot of international guests, so you hear all sorts of languages. As an introverted person with social anxiety, I wasn't able to initiate conversations. There's a fridge and microwave on the first floor, so you can store your own food and heat it up whenever you want. All in all, it's pretty good!

ZZheng2571Big thanks to Sister Qiu for always responding to our inquiries and to the boss, Hongbo, for the warm hospitality and care. We had a very comfortable and fun four-day, three-night stay (Dec 27-30) in Snow Valley. The warm beds, hot meals, and enjoying all the entertainment activities in Snow Valley and Snow Village gave our group of four an extraordinary winter experience.
At Xiongling in Snow Valley, we tried snowmobiling, snow tubing, skiing, and snow drifting (super thrilling!).
**Friendly reminder**: Please wear sunglasses, a mask, and a snow hat. This will help prevent the cold snow from hitting your face when you're snow drifting. The snow hitting your face is incredibly, unbelievably cold!
For the Yangcaoshan itinerary, I recommend buying tickets for the horse-drawn sled and taking the snowmobile all the way up the mountain. Hiking would be a very long and time-consuming distance. For the second half, we opted to hike down to Snow Village, and the snow scenery along the way was absolutely spectacular, perfect for photos. You can also buy a small sled to enjoy some exciting mini snow runs on the way down.
**The only drawback**: The shower head in the bathroom had low water pressure, so it took a bit longer to shower.

GGuest UserDo not be fooled by the two stars hotel rating when selecting this Homestay. This Homestay offers a different experience as you could wake up seeing snowfall from your window, playing at the slides outside the hotel for the children and enjoying the sumptuous restaurant food behind the hotel in the negative temperature. The Manager of the hotel rendered professional service as she helped us book all the attractions and the driver would pick and send us there. The driver is very experienced and careful when driving in thick snow. The ski resort is near the Homestay which my boys spent 3 hours skiing. In addition, the Manager instructed the kitchen to prepare fries and pop corn chickens specially for my children. Excellent service and we truly enjoyed our stay at this Homestay. Keep up the good work!

GGuest UserThe hostel is well-equipped and has a warm, inviting atmosphere. Due to work, I wasn't able to check in on my originally booked date and had to arrive a day later. Since it was a holiday, the system showed no availability when I tried to change the date. To my surprise, the hostel not only held my room but also proactively contacted the platform to waive the first night's fee. It was incredibly thoughtful! The passion fruit and acacia flower tea I DIY-ed at the hostel's front desk also became a memorable part of my trip. Years from now, I'll probably still remember sipping that fruit tea while overlooking Central Street! Attaching a few photos of Harbin in spring.
