The Moderate cabin size capsule was a lot better with the locker gate right under the bed with lock and key. No more climbing up and down capsules, while noises from other guests were less with more space. It's also located on 7F, so elevator wait times start becoming an issue. Overall I like the Moderate cabin size better. Staff continues to be accommodating with luggage storage Location was also accessible enough to make 1st ferry to Miyajima Island first thing in the morning and still be back at a reasonable time in the evening

The Santiago Hotel presents itself as the premier option for budget-conscious travelers and sightseers whose main priority is location and convenience in Hiroshima. Situated right in the city center, the hotel offers outstanding value, allowing guests to stay in a clean, private space without the high cost typically associated with such a central location. The primary strength of the Santiago Hotel is its genuinely unbeatable location. Guests can walk to major landmarks, including the Peace Memorial Park and the Atomic Bomb Dome, in just a few minutes. This centrality extends to local life, with easy access to shopping areas and central dining options, such as the famous Okonomi-mura. Furthermore, the property itself is relatively new, having opened or been significantly renovated around 2020, ensuring a clean and modern environment.

This is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. I love the location as it is in a quiet neighbourhood in a low rise building which feels very cozy. It’s a 10 min walk to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. The hotel staff were wonderful and graciously provided me an upgrade to their best room for my overnight stay. This room was incredibly spacious and the bathroom was huge as well. The shower is in a separated room to the bathroom and has both an area to do stand up shower or use the bathtub/jacuzzi. I do wish they provided free bottled water but that’s my only complaint and it doesn’t matter much. I did have the free coffee in the morning which helped perk me up. Anyways I love this place and it was such good value. I will definitely book this hotel again if I come to Hiroshima in the future.

This was my first time staying here. The staff member who helped me was incredibly friendly and kind. We had a family member in a wheelchair, and they welcomed us warmly. Thanks to them, we had a very comfortable stay in the family room, even though it was just a room-only booking. Although we drove this time, the hotel is close to the station and surrounded by many shops, which was very convenient. Parking right in front of the entrance was a huge help, though it requires prior arrangement. The room itself was simple, cozy, and I absolutely loved it. I'd definitely like to stay here again if I have the chance. Thank you!

Budget hotel, in a very lively location-perhaps too lively for my liking as was very noisy in the eatly morning hours. Staff were really great and attentive, and was worth the price paid.

We stayed for just one night and were extremely satisfied! It's only about a 10-minute walk from the station, and there's a supermarket nearby, so we felt safe no matter what we needed. Furthermore, the building and the room itself had a very stylish, fashionable, and reassuring design, making it very comfortable. Thank you! The bed in the photo is a little messy because we put our luggage there. 💦🙇‍♀️

I'd seen Cyclist in a magazine years ago, and my trip to Hiroshima made it a must-see. Arriving in Onomichi, I discovered that U2, the most iconic building in the area, is a complex of hotels, restaurants, shops, and a cycling club. Even with its industrial style, the details are impeccable. The room layout was very practical, the bathroom had a bathtub and was spacious, and all the toiletries were from Osaji, with a very soothing lavender scent. The only drawback was the lack of body lotion. Given Osaji's high-quality amenities, and considering Japan's dry climate, body lotion is essential in a space without a humidifier. The hotel offers bicycle rental by reservation, but if you don't have a reservation, you can rent from the adjacent Giant shop, which has a wide selection of models. The hotel has a cafe and bakery right next to each other, so you can buy bread and then grab a coffee. The harbor view is amazing, but unfortunately, the weather wasn't great due to the rainy season.

The owner was a very friendly couple, and it was a space that made me smile naturally. The facilities were very beautiful and it was a hostel that I wanted to come again. The pork burger for breakfast was also delicious! It seems that overseas people often stay. It's a bit of a walk from the station, but there are supermarkets and convenience stores nearby, and there is a public bath, so I think it's the best without complaint.

Absolutely gorgeous place and the nicest owner! Rooms are cozy and clean. Air conditioning is working perfectly even in this scolding hot summer. The food is amazing! We highly recommend to try both dinner and Japanese breakfast, it is wonderful! Overall this place is very peaceful and gorgeous. Try to stay at least for 2 nights! Stayed here with my brother. The check-in was a bit confusing as I didn't receive any instructions before arriving, and at the time of arrivin,g no one was present to explain, though we managed it. The man that was managing the building was kind after we managed to meet him. The location was good enough for us. The rooms close with a gate it feels like a prison, though overall it was a good Ryokan experience.
